Predeceased by her son Reggie; mother and father, Abram and Annie Selina Squires; sisters: Susie Beatrice and Edith Jane; brothers: William Joseph, Melvin, Chesley and Corbett. Left with fond and loving memories her husband of 65 years, Herbert Allan; daughters: Christine Edgecombe, Jill (Chuck Charlebois); son, Winston (Evelyn); grandchildren: Lori, Cindy, Allison and Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Emily, Jason and Amber; six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place from Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the United Church cemetery, Pouch Cove. Quilty, James Michael - Passed peacefully away on September 11, 2010 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by father, Jim Quilty and sister, Ruth Lawlor. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife, Theresa (nee Nolan); daughters, Tammy and Connie; and his son, Jamie (Sheri); his two grandsons, which were his pride and joy, Hunter and Spencer; mother, Mildred; sisters, Barbara Burton, Bride Beresford and Georgina Lawlor; brothers, Addision (Marg), Fabian (Dianne), Gerard (Sherry), Ron (Marilyn), Gary (Tracey) and Rodney; as well as a large circle of family and friends, including special friends Jim Batterton, Bill Adams and Richard (Dick) Squires. Twelve Grandchildren; Rebecca and Vanessa Dale, Jennifer(Jay Layman), Katie( Lance Keve), David Dale( Monica), Peter Avery(Andrea), Roger Avery(Natalie), Kristi Briffett(Greg), Jonathon Dale(Jennifer), Aaron Dale(Rhea), Kelly Andrews, Amy Leavins (Tre) as well as twelve great -grandchildren. HUNT, Irene (nee Benson): Passed peacefully away at the Health Sceinces Centre surrounded by her loving family on September 8, 2010, Irene Hunt aged 90 years. Predeceased by her parents: Elsie and Benjamin; son-in-law, Edgar. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving husband Jack Hunt, her five children: Sandra Crane; Linda (Edward) Sharpe; Derek; Geoff (Rose) Hunt of Ottawa; Sherri (Bob) Slade of Calgary; ten grandchildren: Kerri, Lisa, Susan, Chris, Tim, Lindsey, Jonathan, David, Nicholas and Matthew; six great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Jonah, Meghan, Alex, Micheal and Jacob whom she loved and adored; sister, Stella Pearson of Florida as well as a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by her husband William and parents Andrew and Mabel Carnell. Leaving to mourn sons, William (Karen), Seattle, Dr. Geoffrey (Susanne), Dr. Gordon (Rhonda); grandchildren, William and Katie, Seattle, Andrea O’Callaghan (Matthew), Halifax, Valerie Coughlan (Shawn), Geoffrey, St. John’s and Christopher and William, Vancouver; great grandchildren, Sadie, Calum, and Madeleine; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Trickett, Emily (Emmie) (nee Hancock) – Passed peacefully away on Wednesday September 1st, 2010 at Callingwood Downs, Clarke’s Beach, Emily Trickett (Emmie) aged 84 years. Emmie was one of twelve siblings. Her childhood was spent in Brooklyn, Bonavista Bay. She was predeceased by brothers William, Leonard, Clarence and Alexander (Sandy); sisters Mary (Sis) and Edna and grandson Jeffrey. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 63 years, William Hubert. Emmie and Hubert raised their family in St. John’s, Clarke’s Beach and Mount Pearl. She will be missed by sons: William (Christine) and Victor (Brenda) of Alberta; daughter Linda (Clarence) of Brigus. Also missing her are her grandchildren: Andrew (Andrea), Matthew (April), Kate (John), Jennifer (Kyle), Jeremy, Leigh and Christopher; great-grandchildren: McKinley and Margaret (Maggie). She will also be greatly missed by siblings Harold (Ruby), Florence, Joan (David), Marion and Edward; as well as many nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place at Emmie’s request. A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 9th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Reception to follow and interment at the Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Road.
