Walsh, Marion Edwina (nee Lawrence)
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Monday, November 1, 2010, Marion Edwina Walsh, aged 85 years, well known proprietor of Walsh's Convenience, St. Clare Avenue for the past 60 years. Predeceased by parents Freeman and Winnifred Lawrence; daughter Evelyn Dicks and brother George Lawrence (Augusta deceased). Left with fond and loving memories daughter Winnifred (Freddie) Boudreau; two grandchildren: Wayne Dicks, Alberta and Deanne Dewitz, New Brunswick; four great-grandchildren; nephew Reg Lawrence (Karen); also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church, Craigmillar Avenue on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Garrett, Linda
Garrett, Linda (nee Thurston) Passed away at the Health Science Complex in the presence of her loving family on Saturday October 30th 2010, Linda Danette Garrett aged 64 years, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. Left to treasure their loving memories her loving husband of 41 years Joseph Garrett; her precious children Natasha and Mark, also leaving to celebrate her life Linda; brother Wayne Thurston (Cathy); sisters Dorothy Ann Feth (Dieter), Cathie Costello (George), Judy Tucker, Jane Burke (Brian). Also leaving many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a large circle of fond friends. Linda’s love of her many hobbies including jewelry making, quilting and crocheting and the love of the game of bingo kept her spirits high. Predeceased by parents Philip and Joan (Rees) Thurston; sisters Donna Lear and Carol Yanew. At Linda’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd on Sunday October 31, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday November 1, 2010 at 2 p.m from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Rd. As an Expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

SCHOENBERG, B. Mark (formerly of Galveston, Texas): Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Health Sciences Centre on October 28, 2010, Mark Schoenberg, age 82 years. Professor Emeritus University Counseling Centre, Memorial University; Honorary life member of both the American and Canadian Psychological Associations and the Canadian Association of College and University Counselors; Past President of the International Association of Conseling Services. Left with fond and loving memories his children: Kurt (Debbie), Kiki Brophy (Austin), Gregor (Heather) and Gretchen Foley (Brian); grandchildren: Kirsten Schoenberg, Mark, Luke and Beth Brophy, Jeff and Katie Schoenberg, Michael and Allie Foley; his nieces and nephew and their extended families in Texas; special friends: Drs. Charlie and Mary Preston and Marg and Dex Jeans and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, William and son, Charlie, Mary leaves to mourn her daughter, Marylynne Middelkoop and son-in-law Mike; grandchildren: Stephanie Roberts (Philip), Adam and Kaleigh; great-grandson, Jason Cooper Roberts and a large circle of other relatives and friends. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Glenbrook Lodge Chapel. LEGROW, Martha Jean (Butler)-June 21, 1926 – October 27, 2010: It Is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and sister-in-law, Martha Jean LeGrow of Bauline, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband William on February 2, 2010; infant son, William Eric; parents, William and Ida Butler; sister, Eliza Dawes; brothers: Cecil, Matt, Jack and Junior. GUSHUE, Gail (Herder): Passed suddenly but peacefully away on October 27, 2010. Predeceased by her father Hubert Herder. Leaving to mourn her husband, Jim; son, Jonathan and daughter-in-law, Karen; three grandchildren: Tim, Nick and Ally. Also leaving to mourn her mother, Joan (Hickman) Herder; sisters: Ginny Russo and Ruthie Herder. The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to two special friends, Jean Ellis and Susan Roberts-Dwyer. At Gail’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A private family funeral service will take place at a later date. Sellars, Margaret Nataline
Margaret Nataline (nee Osmond) Sellars: Passed peacefully away at home following a brief illness surrounded by her loving family and clergy on October 25, 2010, Nataline Sellars, in her eighty-seventh year. Predeceased by her husband Albert Grenfell George Sellars, as well as her six brothers. Leaving to mourn her five children: Doug Sellars (Kathryn), Susan Sellars, Elizabeth Sellars, Holly Stanley (Art) and Hilary Sellars; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Peter Blackwood, Drs. Thava and Melvin and the staff of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Dr. Mercedes Penton, the nursing staff of Elizabeth Towers and TLC Home Care Agency and Reverend Marion Davis for her constant support. Being a dedicated nurse herself, Nataline greatly appreciated the care she was given over this last month. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Gower Street United Church on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
