Veteran of WWII, and charter member of Catholic Women’s League at St. Pius X Church, Patricia Allston passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 at the age of 86, Surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband - Jack and son - John. Left to mourn are her children David (Lynn), Mark (Colette), and Peter (Pamela); grandchildren - Thomas & Michael; brother - Louis Riley; and daughter-in-law - Maureen Wheeler, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends in Canada and England. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, June 20th, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. TIZZARD, Anthony George (Tony): Aged 43: Passed peacefully away on June 15, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by son, Anthony (girlfriend, Katie). ROWE, Ella: It is with deep sadness and love, we announce that Ella Gladys Rowe (nee Davis) passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge on Torbay Road in St. John’s with family by her side on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband Frederick E. Rowe (1989); sister, Minnie Morris and three brothers: Clifford, Melvin and Hubert Davis. IVIMEY, Ruby: Aged 97 years: Passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short illness on June 14, 2011. Predeceased by husband Raymond 1989. Leaving to mourn two daughters: June Mercer and husband Graham at Bay Roberts and Marion Matthews and husband Bill at Portugal Cove; one grandson, Roger Mercer and his wife Robin in Ottawa; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At Ruby’s request, cremation has taken place. Hickman, Albert Edgar – Passed peacefully away at his residence surrounded by his family on June 13, 2011 Albert E. Hickman age 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Beatrice and brother-in-law Rick Hibbs. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 47 years Karen (Hibbs), daughter Kim, sons Bert (Sue), Jonathan (Alison); much loved grandchildren Katie and Jack Thompson, Sarah and Claire Hickman and Caroline and Cameron Hickman, brother Howard (Gina), sisters Karen Cole, Barbara Tremellan (Trem), ON, sister-in-law Joan (Hibbs) Goudie, aunts Joan Herder and Phyllis Hearn, BC, many nieces, nephews, cousins, wonderful friends and employees. Leaving to mourn her two sons: Keith (Maureen) and Karl (Amanda); her current spouse Gordon Roberts; grandchildren: Claire and Alan; siblings: Robert, Gertrude, Julia and Arthur. Joyce lived a happy, active and full life. She devoted herself to her loving family and gave selflessly to the community for example the Feildian Ladies, Anglican Church Women and Royal Order of Purple. Joyce’s outgoing personality and kind heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
