Predeceased by his wife, Enid (nee Randell), parents, Allan Alexander and Sarah Viguers and brother, Wallace. Leaving with hearts full of happy, loving memories, daughter, Glenda and son-in-law Carl Nordin; daughter, Sharon and son-in-law Peter Morey; granddaughters: Stephanie, Heidi and Courtney LeGrow; step grandson, Jarrod Morey; sisters: Phyllis (Stephen Foster) and Barbara Yeagley; brother, George Viguers (Dorothy); sisters-in-law, Josephine Viguers and Jean Hiscock (Norman); as well as nephews and nieces and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Stokes, Joan Frances Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren on April 8, 2012. Joan Francis Stokes (Lewis) aged 72 years. Predeceased by her husband Eli Whitefield Stokes (Whitey). Leaving to mourn with precious memories her children: Janet Head (Bob), Robert (Corina), Wanda Brown (Karl), Connie Dunnett (Hubert), nine grand children: Robyn, Heidi, Ashley, Amanda, Lesleigh, Nicole, Steven, Bradley and Alekzandria along with six great grand children, all whom she adored. Also leaving to mourn one brother Robert Lewis (Theresa), niece Bonnie, nephew Bobby sisters in law Pearl Stagg, Lillian Clarke, Effie Burry along with a circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor A. Earl Batstone, former General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador, passed peacefully away at his residence on April 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. A. Earl Batstone, aged 72 years, is predeceased by his first wife Doreen, his father Lemuel, his mother Pearl and his sister Marjorie. Left with loving and cherished memories are his wife of 33 years, Lily, son Peter (Angie), daughters Heather (Bernie) and Hauna (Stephen) and son Raymond (Leah) as well as five grandsons and two granddaughters whom he adored. Also left with precious memories are four sisters and a large circle of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations in Earl’s memory may be made to the Living Memorial Fund, P.A.O.N.L. Left to celebrate his life are his brothers: Halley Squires, Winston Squires (Emily); sisters: Louise Picco (John), Susanna Tucker (Walter) and Grace Tucker; also his nephews: Don Squires, Tony Squires (Millicent), Carl Picco (Ann), Richard Picco (Kelly), Noel Tucker; nieces: Shelley Squires, Beverly Miller, Paula Halliday (Stephen), Lori Hobson (Andrew), Carmella Evans (Jim), Jennella Tucker, Sandy Tucker and their families; special friends Wayne Tucker and George King as well as other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on April 11, 2012 Gerald Miller aged 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Ethel (nee Tucker), daughters: Jean Miller and Brenda Christian. Leaving to mourn his sons: Glen Miller, Gerald Miller (Bernice) and Barry Miller; daughter, Linda Whalen (Robert); grandchildren: Bradley and Bryan Miller, April and Rhonda Whalen, Larry, Amanda, Jeanie, Gordie, Sherry and Kevin Christian, Shannon, Anthony and Jennifer Thorne, Lisa Gillard and Nancy Miller; he will also be sadly missed by his great-grandchildren as well as sisters: Mary Bugden, Ethel Dinn and Gladys Codner; nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends. At Gerald’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove on Friday April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Portugal Cove, Bauline Line Extension. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Patrick Dobbin, and brothers James and Gus Daly. Leaving to mourn, her children - Lynn (Bruce) Bourque, Keina Allan, Leah (Ken) Lawton, Patrick (Judi), James, Siobhan, Deirdre (Shane) Calder, Brian (Kaline); eleven grandchildren and one great grand daughter. Also her sisters Patsy (Bernard) Howlett, and Rene (Cecil) Spencer, her sisters-in-law Marie Daly, Maureen McCarthy, Marion (Walter) Tucker, Rita (Ed) Dodge, Margo (Bill) Stinson, Penny and Elizabeth Dobbin; her brothers-in-law Basil (Jenna) Dobbin, Derm (Ethel) Dobbin, Barney (Lizabeth) Dobbin. Predeceased by her husband Hubert in 2007. Leaving to mourn her children daughters: Linda, Marilyn (Stephen Trainor), Susan (Sue St. Marie); sons: Stephen, Bill (Kim) and Jeffrey (Denise); eight grandchildren: Kristy and Tiffany Clarke; Chris and Shawn Walsh; Emily, Abby, Ryan and Justin Motty; brother Harold Small (Flossie); nephew Jim Small; dear friends Joan Tripp and Sue Ford; as well as other relatives and friends. Young, Renee: Passed peacefully away at home on April 16th, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, Margaret Renee Young (nee Woodland), age 51. Predeceased by her brother Bruce. Leaving to celebrate her life, her husband and best friend Geoff, the "Young Tribe": Julie, Emily, Timothy and Matthew, the stars in Renee's sky; devoted parents Bruce and Edith; best sister a girl could hope to have, Karen; brothers Robert (Heather) and Gordon (Bonnie); brother-in-law Chris (Linda) and sisters-in-law Judy Cole (Wayne) and Cathy; nieces and nephews (both great and small); a very close circle of the most wonderful friends and neighbours; and two very special and caring young friends, Heather Martin and Curtis Doyle. A special thanks to Dr. Debbie Callahan-Dyer whose support and kindness to Renee over the past 15 years will never be forgotten, and to Dr. Joy McCarthy, Trudy, Shirley and Renee and the other wonderful staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. Renee's love of life and laughter never failed her throughout her long ordeal. Her family meant the world to Renee and she was and will always remain the centre of ours.
