ADDERLEY, JOHN (JACK) HERBERT

Passed away Wednesday, May 14th, 2003 at his home in Bedford, Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife Olive Adderley, daughter Lynne (Wayne) McArthy, daughter Gail (Ray) Grover, and son Jack (Margaret) Adderley, stepdaughters: Beverley Anne (Max) Powell, Janet (Richard) Day, Barbara Jean (Rod) White, and Carolyn (Dwight) Taylor, and ten grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m. from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street, The Very Reverend Lorne Gosse officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Charlotte Melvina (nee Martin) Hellier

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlotte Melvina Hellier announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 11th, 2002 in her 76th year.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Gilbert S Hellier, four children; Darlene Hellier of Corner Brook, NF, Frederick Hellier of Innisfil, ON, Enid Dominey (George), of Kippens, NF and Donald Hellier (Angie) of Innisfil, ON, also leaving to mourn to with fond memories, sisters; Gladys McLeod, Clarice Bennett, Olga Rolfe (Garland); brothers; William Martin and Hedley Martin (Vonnie). She will be remembered and missed by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as other relatives and friends.
Melvina was predeceased by her parents Azariah and Sarah Martin, sisters; Maisie Martin, Doris Martin, Myrtle Raymond, Emma Tucker, Annie Myles and Violet Pye: brothers Baxter and Roy Martin.
Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday evening from 7-9:00 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15th at 2:00 pm from The Oakland United Church, 5 Forestside Street, Corner Brook, Rev Clayton Parsons officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NF. & Lab., P. O. Box 163, Corner Brook, NF, A2H 6C7.

Stella Marie Crane

Passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Stella Marie Crane at the age of 54.
She will be sadly missed by her husband John; children: Kirby (Andrea), Langley, BC, Rodney, Surrey, BC, Tracey Melo (Carlos), London, ON; grandson Justin Melo; mother, Mary McCarthy; 3 sisters: Jean Wells (Verdun), Corner Brook, Sylvia Hickey (James), Benoits Cove, Catherine Barrow (Fred), Deer Lake; brother, Maurice McCarthy, Benoits Cove; mother and father in law William and Jean Crane; sisters-in-law: Barbara Burton (Edward), Corner Brook, Judy Collins (Bob), Rexdale, ON, Rhonda Walsh (Clinton), Pasadena, Cynthia Sooley (Brian), Thessalon, ON, Beth Seaward (Edward), Saint John, NB, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Daniel McCarthy and brother Norman McCarthy.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street, The Very Reverend Lorne Gosse officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers or memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer society will be graciously accepted.

Sarah L. Carter

Corner Brook, NF - Passed peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at the Interfaith Home, Sarah Lavinia Carter at the age of 90.
She will be remembered with fond and loving memories by her son Reginald Carter (Sharon), Corner Brook; daughters Violet Gregory (Winston), Orrilla, ON, Elizabeth Reeve (Richard), Washington, Margaret Brenner (John), Whiting, Iowa, Audrey Carberry (Ross), Corner Brook, Sandra Taylor, Halifax, NS; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; brother Edgar Parsons, sister Marie Blackwood (Jim), sister-in-law Kathleen Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Carter, January 16, 1998, brother Captain Herbert Parsons, sister-in-law Nita Parsons.
The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Monday from 7-9 pm followed by a private family service on Tuesday, July 23. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation will be graciously accepted.

Marjorie Roseanne Flynn

Corner Brook, NF - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mrs. Marjorie Flynn announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 6th, 2002 at the age of 77 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children; Herbert (Joan), Cabot (Shirley), Corner Brook, Philip (Doreen), Halifax, NS, Clarence (Marlene), Corner Brook, Suzanne (Clayton), Corner Brook, Sherry, St. John's, Christopher (Cindy), St. John's, and Bruce (Shannon), Alberta. 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers; Herbert Penney (Agnes), and Ronald Penney (Sadie), both of Irishtown; six sisters; Kay Smith (Levi), Corner Brook, Alma Mighton, Geraldine Raynard (Tony), Irishtown, Laura Lidstone, Hughes Brook and Joan House (Cliff), Corner Brook, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, March 10th, 1998.
Visitation took place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8th, at 2:00 pm from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flwoers graciously accepted or donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Fund.

Patricia Rosalie Holloway (nee Dingwell)

Corner Brook - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on July 6th, 2002, Patricia Rosalie Holloway, aged 81 years. Predeceased by infant son John, parents Wesley and Mary Ann Dingwell, brothers Raymond, Bruce and sister Norma Lowe.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories husband for 58 years Leonard, three daughters Carolyn O'Brien (fiancée Robert Peter), Mary Day (John), Jeanne Delaney (Kieran); ten grandchildren, Stephen Scott and Shawn Day, Kirk, Keith and Janice O'Brien, Michael, Robert, Susan and Joanne Delaney. Four great grandchildren; Matthew and Laura O'Brien, Briana and Kaylee Day; brothers George (Joyce), Neil (Lillian), sisters Lottie Riggs, Elsa Carpenter (Ned), Christina Sweetapple (tom), a large number of nieces and nephews. Greatly missed by a circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue. Visitation on Sunday evening from 7-9 pm, and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, July 9th, 2:00pm from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Very Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Wild Cove. No flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.

Frances Janes (nee Standing)

Burgeo, NF - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frances Janes announce her passing at the Calder Healthcare Centre, Burgeo on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the age of 91 years.
Mrs. Janes was predeceased by her husband Henry, infant baby daughter Daphne, daughter Ena McGragh and grandson Timothy McGragh, Stoney Creek, ON.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are two sons; George and his wife Alice (Seaward), Tantallon, NS, Lester and his wife Midlred (Skinner), Burgeo, four daughters Ethel Banks (Martin), Lottie and husband Stanley Mercer, Burgeo, Hilda and husband Carl Barnes, Burgeo, Millie and husband Dan Stiles, Appleton, three sisters; Mrs. Mable Porter, Jessie Barter and Eva Gillard, all residing in Burgeo, 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will take place from St. John the Evangelist Church beginning Sunday evening from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, at 2:00 pm Rev. Karen Laldin officiating, interment to follow at the Community Cemetery..
Funeral arrangements have bee entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home.

Francis (Frank) Earl Ledrew

Passes away Thursday, August 1, 2002, Francis (Frank) Earl Ledrew in his 92nd year.
He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his wife of 69 years Florizel (Floss) LeDrew; 6 children: Shirley Joan Sweetland (Fred), David Barry LeDrew (Betty Lou), Stewart BOyd LeDrew (Joan, Brenda Jane (Vince Keyes), Deborah Francis LeDrew (Frank Balogh), Terry Denise LeDrew; grandchildren: Chris, Jane, Ann, Barry, Robert, Nancy, Vicky, Stephen, Frank, Lisa, Susan, Scott, Nicole, Shelly, Peter, Brock, Cindy, Karen, Stephen, Sheila, Kip, Rachael, Richard Cristy, Buster and Shadow; great grandchildren: Erin, Amy, Zachary, Joshua and Nathan, Adam and Andrea, Courtney, Jason, Nicole and Jessie, Caleb, David, Peter and Leslie-Ann, Sarah, Heather, Rebecca, Kirsten, Erika, Andrew, Heather and Scott, Shannon, Diane, Sarah, Amy J., Mathieu, Alesandre, Jacinta, Danica; special friends, Sandra Skeard, Wanda Hynes and numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Peter John LeDrew; siblings: Ida Edens, Hazel Pollard-Burnell, William LeDrew, Walter LeDrew, Kathleen (Kit) MacGillivray, Vera McLean, Robert LeDrew, Boyd LeDrew.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3rd at 2:00 pm from the Humber Valley United Church, Pasadena, Reverend Tony Newell officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit the Humber Valley United Church, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pasadena Lions Club. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. Corner Brook.
