Corner Brook, NL - Passed peacefully away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Daisy Bishop at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Melba Taylor (Harold), Lewisporte, Eleanor Wells (Clyde), St. John’s and Donald (Louise), Corner Brook; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; daughter Linda Colbourne and parents, Mabel and Charles McFatridge. Daisy was a Graduate of St. Michaels Convent in St. George's and Bishop Spencer College, St. John’s. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 1:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street. Officiating are Dean Michael Rice and Archbishop Stewart Payne. The Interment will follow at the family plot, Anglican cemetery, Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made the charity of one's choice.
