Corner Brook, NL (Formerly of St. David’s) - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Chaffey announces his passing on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: two sister: Marguerite Chaffey (John Klassen), St. Catherine’s, ON; and Linda Borden (Wayne), Corner Brook; two nephews: Sean Chaffey (Glenda Richard), Tantallon, NS, and Ian Chaffey (Penney), Eastern Passage, NS; two nieces: Leigh Borden (Dale Kirby), St. John’s and Susan Borden (Ken Johnston), Burlington, ON; as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Arthur and Lenetta Chaffey; and infant brother Eric Chaffey. Friends may visit St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David’s on Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 12 noon; from where the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Terry Rose officiating. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: step-son Gerald (Nanette) Durnford, Sept Isles, sons: James (Lillian) Greene, Dartmouth, Eric (Michelle) Greene, Calgary and Tony (Madonna) Greene, Port Aux Basques; daughter Sarah (Eric) Richards, Port Aux Basques; grandchildren: Tracy (Robert) Warren, Dartmouth, Jay (Vanessa) Greene, Ontario, Jason Greene, Yellowknife, Katerina (Ragnar) Olafson, Calgary, Stacy (Dave) Adair, Dartmouth, Bradley (Sandria) Greene, London, ON, and Mitchell Greene, Calgary; great-grandchildren: Liam, Zackery, Karman and Kyle; sister Priscilla Porter, Port Aux Basques; brother-in-law Clyde (Lillian) Durnford, Francois; sister-in-law Melita (James) Ashford, Halifax, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Hilda (nee Durnford) September 28, 2006; parents James and Miriam; brothers-in-law: John (Phyllis) Durnford, and Gilbert Porter. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Brian Harley; daughter Shellie (Gerry) Davis; grandson Nicholas Davis; step children: Richard (Kelly) Harley, Caroline (Tom) Alteen, Jackie Matthews and Alison (Doug) O’Keefe; step grandchildren: Ian, Hilary, Simon and Sean; brothers and sisters: Albert (Edna), Wallace (Jennifer), Terry Larry, Linda (Harvey) Riggs, Rick (Andrea), Eugene (Tina), Scott, Rose Dumke and Bess (Bob) Hinneburg; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Manson and Jane Osmond, step mother Inez Osmond, brother Eric and sister Millie Lopez. MARY KATHLEEN CROCKER (nee Wilton)

Trout River, NL - We are greatly saddened to announce that our Mom passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family. Left with saddened and grieving hearts are her five loving daughters, Ada (Mac) Rideout of Upper Gullies, Kay (Ted) Crocker of Trout River, Doris Crocker of Cox’s Cove, Ethel (Alvin) Brake of Meadows, and Sheila (Fred) Crocker of Trout River. She also leaves to mourn her foster son Harvey (Lisa) Delaney in Brooks, Alberta. Nan’s wisdom and love will be sadly missed by her precious grandchildren, Keith (Kelly) Rideout, Craig (Tina) Rideout, Ruthann Crocker, Kathy (Mark) Stoehr, Danielle (Steve) Hollett, Peggy (Dave) Crocker, Ryan (Carla) Crocker, and Sara Crocker. Great-Nana Mary’s hugs, kisses, and pleasant smile will be lovingly remembered by Samantha and Jacqui Salisbury, Terry Crocker, Rebecca and Ben Rideout, Nicholas and Lauren Rideout, David Crocker, Krista Hollett, and James Crocker. She will be dearly missed by her loving brother Tom (Dulcie) Wilton in Trout River, and her sister Ethel Noseworthy in Upper Gullies, as well as their families. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Flora Brake and family, and brother-in-laws Eldon Crocker and Mancel Halfyard. Also mourning her passing are her many nieces, nephews, as well as some very special friends and caregivers. She was predeceased by her little boy Reggie in 1968, her husband Reginald in 1988 and her son-in-law Hubert Crocker in 2004, as well as her brother Richard and sisters Edith, Elizabeth and Ada. Friends may visit St. Simon St. Jude Anglican Church in Trout River on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlene Laing and Rev. Madonna Boone officiating. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.
