It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Dyson announce his passing on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at his residence in Happy Valley Goose Bay at the age of 86 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Donna (Carl), Debbie (Joe), Jerry (Kathy), Kirk (Connie), Denise (Kevin), Oscar (Geri), Duane (Glenys), Lori (Randy); 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Laverne (Roger) sister-in-law Gwen, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Lockie (January 27, 2011); daughter Dale; grand-daughter Jan; brothers: Stewart and Bart; sister Becky; parents Ephraim and Lucy. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pentecostal Tabernacle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Arthur (Doreen) Swyers, Stephenville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Benes; parents John and Esther Garnier; son Robert Swyers; brother Anthony Garnier; half sisters: Elizabeth, Ethel, Lizzie, Antonia; half brothers: Albert and Lewis. Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Una Parsons-Hutchings announce her passing on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother Hubert Duhart; step-children: Ann (Wayne) Ruth, Gerald (Kathy) Hutchings and Marie (Lorin) King; step-daughter-in-law Anne Hutchings and their families; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her niece Myra Anderson. She was predeceased by her first husband Llewellyn Parsons, second husband Eustace Hutchings, parents Timothy and Lucy Duhart, sister Madeline (Charlie) Mason, sister-in-law Mary Duhart and step-son Danny Hutchings. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium.
