Ella Marie MUNDEN (nee Jeans)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ella Marie Munden (nee Jeans) announce her passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 63 years. Born at Channel-Port Aux Basques, Ella was the daughter of the late Samuel (1969) and Clara (1989) (Foote/Thomas) Jeans. Also predeceased by her brother Arthur (2002) and a large number of in-laws. Ella will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, Llewellyn; sons: Samuel (Marion), Stephenville and Michael, Port Aux Basques; grand-daughter Samantha; grand-son Nathan, Kensington, PEI; step-grand-daughter Haley Rae; sister Ethel (Roland) Barnes, Cape Ray; brother Lloyd (Ann), Port Aux Basques; sisters-in-law: Marie Thomas, Port Aux Basques, Henrietta Murray, Maple Ridge, BC, Viola (Holomew) Reid, Halifax, NS, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday 9-11 am. The Funeral Service took place from St. James Anglican Church on Wednesday, August 31st at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Hannah Dicks. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Expressions of sympathy and donations may be made to the family.

Green Island Brook - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peggy Noseworthy announce her passing on Thursday, August 25th, 2011 at Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton at the age of 32. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her parents Olive and David Noseworthy, common law spouse Jamie Caines, daughter Kyra, son Connor, brothers Rickey (Vietta), Ramsey (Wendy), and nieces and nephews: Michael, Johnny, Jessica and Janelle. Friends may visit St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove on Monday and Tuesday, a family service will take place on Tuesday evening at 8PM. The funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 31st at 2PM with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating, interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Remembered with fond and loving memories by his wife Jessie of 66 years; his children: Goldie Park (Bern Blanchard), Gillams, Vivian Mishaud (Michael), Irishtown, Roy (Molly) Cox’s Cove, Gary (Veronica), Mississauga, ON, Reginald (Annette), Cox’s Cove, Ronald (Agnes), Cox’s Cove, Elaine Park (Charles) Brampton, ON; special granddaughter: Pansy Blanchard (Ellis), Brampton, ON; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two brothers: Bert (Polly), Cox’s Cove, Foster (Annie), Stanhope, PI; one sister: Ruby Stone, Curling; two brothers-in-law: William Noseworthy, Cox’s Cove and Leonard Noseworthy, Howley; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Randolph; his parents: Albert and Winnifred; grandson: Barry Mishaud; son-in-law: Raymond Park; brother: Harold and sister, Mina. Visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican church, Cox’s Cove on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery.

He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Dorothy; and sister: Jean Denney. Visitation will take place from Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Andrew Wright officiating.
