Cox’s Cove, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlie Payne announce his sudden passing at his residence on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at the age of 55 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories : his wife, Judy (nee White); sons: Jeff Janes (Judy), Grant Janes, Melvin Payne (Shelley), Norman Payne and Nathan Payne (Brittany); daughter: Renee Furlong (Scott); grandchildren: Logan Payne, Zachery Janes, Marcus, Gavin and Paige Furlong; brother: Philip (Annie) Payne; mother-in-law: Lillian Abbott; brothers and sisters-in-law: Shirley Payne, Norman White (Lillian), Tony White (Evelyn), Louise (Russell) Park and Sherry (Michael) Robinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Winnifred and Henry Payne; brother: Cyril Payne and father-in-law: Ralph Abbott. Visitation will take place from St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Deer Lake, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Bowdridge announce his passing on Monday, December 19th, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, at the age of 76. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mildred, children: Gary; BC, David (Rosemarie); St John’s, Paul (Burnetta); Ontario, Debbie (Gary) Wheeler; Ontario, Andrew (Diane); Bonavista, grandchildren: Howard, Paula, Sarah, Jamie, Rachael, Steven, Todd, Amanda, Jannice, great grandchildren: Emily, Julia, Jasmine, Kylie, Elijah, Madison, Jordon, sister June Noseworthy, brother Dalton Bowdridge and special cousins Olive and Phil Bryant, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Mae Bowdridge and brothers Donald and Scott. Cremation has taken place from Humber Valley Crematorium and interment will follow in the New Year.
