Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of Lucien Mosher announce her passing on Friday, March 9th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 56 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: husband Roy; sons: Marc (Penny) and Scott (Christa); brother: Bob (Heather); sisters: Gillian (Frank) Buckle, Colleen (Chris) Hofing and Bev (Ron) Lidstone; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank Mosher (Marion Roberts), Valda Morgan, Edna Brake (Jim Taylor), Marie (Jim) Noel, Lorraine (Bax) Noel, Bob (Cora) Mosher, Max (Joy) Mosher, Shirley (Bob) Cave, Olga (Roger) Butt, Austin, Denise (Barry) Roberts and Dawn King; special family pet: Hugo; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Maxwell and Doris Greening; mother and father-in-law: Ida and Max Mosher and sisters-in-law: Ivy Mosher and Jean Mosher. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street followed by cremation at Humber Valley Crematorium, Reverend Fran Ota officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
Marilyn Norma Darrigan
Corner Brook, NL - Darrigan, Marilyn Norma … 1941-2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Marilyn Darrigan on March 8th, 2012 in Corner Brook, NL. Born in Corner Brook, she was a daughter of Jeremiah and Rose Hannah Darrigan.
She immensely enjoyed reading and the studying of history and geography. She will always be remembered for her intelligence and sense of humor. Her only son, Stephen, and her grandchildren, Christina, Jeremy, and Stephen John, were the loves of her life. Marilyn is survived by her son, Lieutenant Commander Stephen Darrigan, Halifax, NS, daughter in law Sharon (Dunphy) Darrigan, and her cherished grandchildren, Christina (Mark) Darrigan Skinner, Stephen John Darrigan, and Jeremy Darrigan. She truly loved and was very proud of her two great-grandchildren, Anthony Darrigan and Sophie Skinner. She is also survived by her only beloved brother, Spencer (Rachel) Darrigan, Corner Brook; sisters, Hilda Soper, Corner Brook; Ada (John) O'Reilly, St. John's; Maisie Warford, St. John's and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her sisters Edna and Mabel.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook. A funeral celebratory service will be held Wednesday, March 14th at 2:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 25 Main Street, Corner Brook with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home on Monday, March 12th at 7-9 PM and Tuesday, March 13th at 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Callahan and all the wonderful staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Your care of my mother was appreciated beyond words. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters Vonda and Irma, Corner Brook; sons Gordon (Sylvia), Riverview, NB, Harold (Denise) Middle Sackville, NS and Roger (Edith) Corner Brook; grandchildren Gregory, Andrew, Amy Weins (Bryan), Justin, Grant, Kylee and Caitlin; and great grandchildren Alexander, William and Joshua; sister Clarice Stratton (Carl); brothers Howard, Alvin, Keith, Byron and Gerald Winsor, and a very large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years Harry Manuel, sisters Vivian Clerk, Rita Garrett and brother Lloyd Winsor. Steady Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralph Rowe announce his passing on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 59 years Patricia (Lush); children: Lorraine (Tom), Fred (Heather), Max, John (Michele) and Lisa (Phonse); grandchildren: Tanya (Rich), Jodi (Dwayne), Sarah (Rol), Paul (Christina), Michael (Rachel), Lori, Lucas, Matthew, Kati, Sarah, Claire and Jillian; great-grandchildren: Julianna, Ava, Brady, Kayden, Jake and Jessie; sisters: Selma (Mel), Edna and Mary (Nick); brother Don (Peggy); sisters-in-law: Norma (Dave), Gladys (Jim) and Stella; brother-in-law Kenneth (Joan); as well as a multitude of family, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his parents Emily and Fred Rowe, brother George and two very young siblings; parents-in-law Florence and Malcolm Lush and special niece Tina. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Trout River - Passed peacefully away at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point on Tuesday March 6th 2012 in the presence of his family Daniel Gilbert Snooks age 94. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Margaret Parsons; Woody Point, Russell Snooks, Jenetta Butler, Maureen Snooks (Dick) (granddaughter), Glenn Snooks (great-grandson), Whelamena Snooks (daughter-in-law) and Eva Anderson all of Trout River, grandchildren: Dannie, Dayna (Mike), Darryl (Sharrel), Sue Ellen, Millicent, Marilyn (Keith), Marie (Clarence), Arlene (Jeff), Randy (Natalie), Michelle (Craig), Tara-Lynn (Keith), Tina (Dennis), Gloria (Brent), great grandchildren: Mindy, Jennifer, Katrina, Dominic, Deiago, Dimitri, Jennifer, Kimberly, Andrea, Melanie, Mandy, Marco, Micheal, Robin, Paula, Andrew, Katlyn, Nicholas, Shane, Amy, George, Brian, Matthew, 10 great great grandchildren and brothers in law Fred Crocker (Hursie) and Bill Crocker (Ennett) as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from the Trout River United Church on Thursday, March 8th from 2-4 PM, the family will be having a private family service at 7 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9th at 2PM with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating, interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery. Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sam Zreick announce his sudden passing on Sunday, March 4th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years. Left with precious memories is his wife of 37 years, Irene (nee Marshall); two sons: John (Sherrie), Paradise and Stephen (Jamie), Angus, On; four grandchildren: Abagayle, Jackson, Samira and Michael; mother-in-law: Alma Marshall; brothers and sisters-in-law: David Marshall (Linda), Chris Marshall (Janice), Pauline Thornhill (Don) and Madonna Eason (Ernie); as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Georgette Zreick and father-in-law: Frank Marshall. It is with great sadness that the family of Mabel MacNeil announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the age of 83. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bernie, son Bernie Jr. (Lori), granddaughter Marissa, sister-in-law Joyce French, nephew John French (Leslie), niece Paula Mardel (Christian), great nieces and nephews: Bowen, Davin, Ryan and Jessica and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Martha French, Brother Clarence French and sister-in-law Anne Marie MacNeil Masse. Mabel was a past member of The Corner Brook Bridge Club and The Blomidon Country Club. The funeral service will be held Wednesday March 7th, at 11:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue with Marilyn Avery officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
