Pierce, Charles

Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Pierce announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son, Ronald of Corner Brook, daughter, Bertha of Corner Brook, sisters: Ruby Joyce, Jane Deering and Phyllis Pierce, and a large circle of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Melinda and sister Edith Lundrigan. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road today, Monday, November 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army Temple with Major Cooper officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home.

George Clements

Passed peacefully away at Leamington, Ont., On Monday September 29th, 2003, George Clements. Age 57 years.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Helen, brothers James, Frank and Charles.
Leaving to mourn sister Irene Walsh (Mike), sister Olga Ershler (Jack), brother Richard (Anita), sister Gladys Hutchings (Nat); special friend Diane St. John, Leamington, Ont.; and many other relatives and friends; special uncle Gordon (Kay) and aunt May.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., after 10 a.m. Thursday. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2003, from St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour with interment at St. George’s Cemetery, Petty Harbour. As expressions of sympathy flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church.

Pennell, Leonard James
December 1, 1923 - April 2, 2004

Corner Brook, NL - It is with heartfelt sadness that the Pennell family announces the peaceful passing of their father, Leonard James Pennell on Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 80th year. He will be dearly missed by his wife Martha (Mae) of 58 years, and his sons: Albert (Betty), Gordon (Judy), Terry (Colleen), Clayton (Angela), Randy, Rick (Sharon), Todd (Rebecca), & Steve (Lesa); and daughters: Sandra Fiander (Bruce), Ruby Hull (Howard), Louise Howse (Colin), & Connie Pennell (Deborah); brothers: Selby (Olive), & Eldin (Olive); and his 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert & Mary Pennell. He will also be dearly missed by close family friends, Camille Pennell and Doris Pennell. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Rd. today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, April 4, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the Salvation Army Temple on Monday, April 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Gary Cooper officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia receiving chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetic Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Rd.

Park, Randy

Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Randy Park announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 16, 2005. Randy leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend Dorothy (Daye) and his brothers and sisters: Joan Fisher (Art), Jerry (Dolores), Rod (Donna) all of Corner Brook, Marg Pumphrey (Tom) of Manuels, Mary Russell (Jim), Don Marks all of Nova Scotia, Carol (Cap) Crossley (John), Paul, Harry (Joanne) and Julie Pierik (Paul) all of Ontario; special sister-in-law Gertrude Daye; favorite aunt Carrie Whelan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Roy (1984) and Ann (Marks) (1989) . Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Randy’s wish was to have donations forwarded to the Cancer Centre, Western Region, 4th Floor, Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

Sarah (nee Coates) Andrews Castella

Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Center, after a courageous battle with Cancer, on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, Sarah Castella, age 74 years.
Predeceased by her first husband Harold Andrews, 1976; and brother Clifford Coates, 2001.
Left with loving memories her husband Edward Castella, Kissimmee, Florida; sons: Tony and wife Debby, Terry and wife Barbara; four loving granddaughters: Kimberly, Ashley, Stephanie and Jessica; sister Ellie Pitcher, all of St. John’s; also leaving to mourn nieces, nephews and many friends.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday from 7-10pm and on Thursday from 10am-10pm. Funeral service to be held at 12noon Friday, December 6, 2002, from Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. No flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

O'Toole, Neta Madonna

Pasadena, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Neta M. O’Toole announce her passing on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia at the age of 52. She leaves to mourn with fond and the loving memories: her husband, Jim; children Jimmy, Jeanie (Scott) Hann; grandchildren: Jared & Lucas, her two little angels; sisters: Phyllis Mills, Sudbury, Ontario, Margaret (Robert) Sheppard, Sharon (Arnold) Feener, Judy (James) Snow all of Bishops Falls, Cavell Foley of Halifax, Barbara (Wayne) Pelley, Cache Creek, B.C., Deborah (Perry) Bridger, Calgary A.B.; brothers: Thomas (Jean) Hannon, Leonard (Bernie) Hannon both of Bishops Falls and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Leonard & Marion Hannon. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Parish, Pasadena today and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where funeral services will take place on Monday, June 28th, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Peddle officiating. Interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations to The Hope Air Foundation, Suite 7034711, Young Street, Toronto, Ontario, M2N 6K8. McCarthy, Thomas J.

He is predeceased by his brother Clifford (1944) . Funeral services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. from the Pentecostal Church, Pasadena with Pastor Osmond officiating. Interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Schizophrenia Society.
