BUTLER, Bridget (Bride) (nee Power) – Passed away at her home in Kelligrew's on Friday, September 7, 2007, Bridget (Bride) Butler (nee Power), age 84. Predeceased by husband William, December 2006 and son Danny, August 2004. A former resident of Topsail Road, Donovans, she is also predeceased by parents Mary and William, brothers Dave, Jim, Derm and Kevin and sister Mary. Leaving to mourn daughters Joan (Norm Cook), Judy Porter (Chris) and Louise; grandsons Bradley Greeley (Noreen Bastow), Bill Taggart, Charlotte Tilley, and Kelsey Porter, and great-grandson Colby Greeley. Also leaving to mourn special niece Sheila Taylor, caregivers and friends Lucy and Kim, many other relatives and friends from Topsail Road, New Perlican and Kelligrews. Resting at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrew's with visitation Sat. 7-9, and Sun. 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral notice later. CLARKE, Albert Joseph (D.O.B. November 9, 1927), age 79 years – Passed away peacefully on September 6, 2007 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a brief illness, Albert Joseph Clarke. Left to mourn wife Mary Clarke (Keeping); son Russell Clarke, daughter Tessa Cumby (Edwin) and grandchildren Mitchell, Julia and Katelyn Cumby. At his request, cremation has taken place. Private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Monday, September 10, 2007. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home. Predeceased by his brothers: Campbell and Bill; brothers-in-law: Bert Smith, Gil Delong and Jack Kuntze. Leaving to mourn his wife of 57 years, Elinor; his children: Bill (Norma), Beth (Peter Wilson) and John (Joanne); his grandchildren: William (Shu-Min), Jeremy, Sarah (Chris Rodden) and Emily Eaton; Katie, James and Ellie Wilson; Kelly and Patrick Eaton; Jessica and Andrew Bartlett; his siblings: Helen Smith (Alistair (Louise), Daisy Delong and David (Audrey); his sisters-in-law: Charlotte Kuntze, Francis McNaughton (Don), Alicia Eaton and Bette Eaton; thirty nieces and nephews; and a large circle of friends and colleagues. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Effie, his son Duncan (Pamela), Isle Aux Morts; step-children Renee Penney (Ken), St. John’s; Jean Mercer (Stan), White Rock, B.C. and Thom Mercer (Lynn), St. John’s; beloved grandchildren Wendi McKeagney (Robert), Victoria White (Marcel), Nancy Hill (Andrew), Heather Ryan (Sean), David Penney (Annaka), Jonathan Penney (Patricia) and Matthew Mercer; cherished great-grandchildren Ethan and Gavin White; Caleb, Aidan and Darcy Ryan; sister-in-law Elsie Granter; brothers-in-law Edgar Parsons, Fred Olive and Lloyd Biggs; nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. HAYWARD, David – Passed away suddenly at South Lake Health Centre on August 17, 2007, David Hayward in his 48th year of Paris, ON (originally of St. Vincents, NL) . Predeceased by his father Aloysius in 2004 and his brother Denis in 1957. Left to mourn his loving wife Linda, two daughters Rena and Denese of Paris, ON; his mother Margaret of St. Vincents, NL; two brothers Aloysius (Christine), Luke (Gale) both of Hamilton, ON; three sisters Catherine (Pat), Brantford, ON; Elizabeth (Morley) of St. Vincents, NL; Margaret (Geno) of Scarborough, ON; one uncle Kevin Hayward of St. Vincents, NL; one aunt Agnes Gibbons of St. John’s; God-mother Hannah Hayward of Kelligrews, NL; cousins, nephews, nieces and a large circle of relatives and friends. Laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Paris, ON.

HUNTER, Theophilus – Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on September 4, 2007, Mr. Theophilus Hunter, age 88 years, formerly of Salvage. Predeceased by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Marie (Brown); daughter Bonnie (Wayne) Hewitt of Gander; grandchildren: Kristy (Peter) Frampton of Iqaluit, NU, Terri Lynn (Jimmy) MacDonald of Halifax, NS and Natasha of Gander; great-grandchildren: Christopher and Jacob Frampton, who he dearly loved. Predeceased by her husband James P. (1984), son James Jr. (2003) and granddaughter Lisa Marie (1984) . Leaving to mourn sons: Vince (Mary), Wayne (Linda), John (Joan); daughters: Betty (Michael), Ontario; Marjorie Tulgren (Dave), Maine; step-daughter Frances Davis (Curt), Florida; daughter-in-law Monica; brother Lawrence Hollohan (Evelyn), Ontario; sister-in-law Helen Jackman, Bell Island; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
