Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward C. Pardy announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday September 19, 2009 at the age of 52 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Goldie and dog Sammy, brothers; Donald (Margaret) of Lyndhurst, Ontario, Wilson (Peggy) of Corner Brook, Gary (Doreen) of Corner Brook, sisters; Cora (Lloyd Wiseman) of Springdale, Brenda (Bud Tabor) of Fort Worth, Texas, Ruth Tizzard of Corner Brook, Marie (Eric Laing) of Pickering, Ontario, Dorothy (Edward Locke) of St. John’s, Dale (Ivan Taylor) of Springdale, mother and father-in-law Frank & Joy Simms of Gander Bay as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Ralph & Myra Pardy and family pet Molly. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Private family service will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA or a charity of ones choice.
William James (Jim) Clarke
William James (Jim) Clarke World War Two Veteran, 59th Heavy Artillery Regiment (#971622), retired CNR Policeman. Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on January 24, 2003.
Predeceased by infant son Richard, parents James and Martha Clarke, brother Fred and sister Helen Samson. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 53 years, Audrey (Curlew), son: John (Debbie Fry) of St. John's, daughters: Linda Boehner (Robert) of Darthmouth, Nova Scotia, Melanie Stanley (Paul) of Mt. Pearl, Janice Langille (Andrew) of Trepassey. Also two brothers; David (Sandra) and Frank (Beatrice) both of Carbonear, brother in law; Ed Samson of Carbonear as well as his grandchildren; Vanessa Boehner, Rebecca and Tim Stanley, Lesley and Matt Clarke, Courtney and Kyle Langille and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 1081 Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl from 7-9 P.M., Saturday and from 2-4 P.M., and 7-9 P.M., Sunday. Funeral service to take place from First United Church, Mt. Pearl at 2 P.M., on Monday, January 27, 2003. Interment in the Field of Honor, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.

Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie Frances Cormier announce her passing on September 17th, 2009 at The O’Connell Center in Corner Brook at the age of 88 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Frank with whom she celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage, her four children; Donna (Kevin Cave) of Oshawa, Ontario, David of Corner Brook, Joe (Donna) of Amherstburg, Ontario, and Mark (JoAnn) of Truro, Nova Scotia, her sister Anita Stewart of Corner Brook. Loving grandmother of Tina (Craig Watt), Sandra, Amy, Andrew, Matthew, and Rebecca. Great grandmother of Leanne and Kyle, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her brother, Colin (2005) as well as her parents Arthur and Minnie Clara. Marjorie loved singing and gardening and spent many happy hours in her gardens at the family home on 107 West Valley Road. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Most Holy Redeemer Parish, Mount Bernard Ave. with Father Don Leonard officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Pinsent, Baby Jill Clara
Lark Harbour, NL - Mommy and Daddy’s precious little angel Jill Clara Pinsent. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her parents Jodi and Aubrey Pinsent, her big sister Emma Jade, grandparents Marina and Russell Sheppard of lark Harbour, Roxanne and Rodger Pinsent of Cold Brook, great grandpoppy Kenneth Druggett of Lark Harbour, aunts Terri-Lynn (Paul) Traverse, Natalie (Steve) Thompson, little cousins Luke and Sadie Traverse as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private family service will take place on Monday July 27, 2009 at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel 167 Country Road with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery in Lark Harbour. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Drover, Dennis Warrick
Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Warrick Drover announce his passing at the family residence surrounded by his loving family on June 30, 2009 at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Frances Drover, his children Shelley Drover, Tracey Drover (Matthew Sullivan), Doug Drover. His brother Ted L. Drover and sister Dorothy (Rusty) Drover, his grandchildren Douglas Warren, Frankie Warren, Berkie Warren, William Sullivan, Oliver Sullivan, special nephews Harry Burton and Luke Burton. He is predeceased by his parents Dorothy (Blackie) and Harry Drover and his brother Robert Barton. Cremation has taken place. Family will be hosting a reception to receive family and friends on Friday, July 3, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at 20 Elswick Road, Corner Brook. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road.

Passed peacefully away on July 1st, 2003 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends, Reginald Gordon Chafe, of Petty Hr. NL, age 64 years.
Predeceased by father Edward Dec. 1979, mother Effie Feb. 2002, brother Cecil Sept. 1984 and brother Frank Nov. 2002.
