Formerly of Corner Brook, NL - Passed peacefully away on July 13, 2009 at the Extendicare-York Nursing Home in Sudbury, ON, Russell Allen at the age of 66. He leaves to mourn his four brothers; Max (Cassie), Reg (Jean), Don (Pauline) and Calvin (Donna), six sisters; Beulah (Lorne) Murley, Ina (George) Earle, Shirley Dicks, Jean (Eugene) Hamlyn, Linda Coombs (Ira Gillam) all of Corner Brook, Rhonda Porter, of Nova Scotia as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents Elijah Allen (1996) and Eileen (nee Snooks) (1955), brothers-in-law Jack Coombs and John Dicks, Infant brother Daniel. Memorial service will be held on Friday July 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel 167 Country Road. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 2 daughters; Karen Patey (Leonard) of Corner Brook, Trudy Humphries (Rod) of Alberta, 3 sons; Bruce (Brenda) of Massey Drive, Brian (Bernice) of Corner Brook, Randy (Cheryl) of Little Rapids, daughter-in-law Dawn King of Corner Brook, 9 grandchildren, Michelle, (Anthony) of Australia, Darren of Alberta, Mark of Halifax, Heather of New Brunswick, Jason (Jennifer) of St. John’s, Jennifer (Doug) of Alberta, Stephen (Marika) of New Brunswick, Andy of Alberta, James of Little Rapids, 2 great grandchildren; Zachary of Australia, and Alex of St. John’s, 4 brothers; Rex (Jose) of St. John’s, Clyde (Shirley) of Corner Brook, Aubrey (Delsie) of Ontario, Doug (Ivy) of Corner Brook. He is pre deceased by his wife Gladys, son Terry, parents John King and Rowena King and stepmother Julia. Kathleen Shirley (nee Dalton) Christopher
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a very special wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Kathy passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on July 28, 2003, aged 48 years, after a sudden illness.
Predeceased by her father Fred; brother Freddie; mother-in-law Mary Christopher and father-in-law John Christopher.

St. Anthony, NL - Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on June 18, 2009 in his 88th year, Donald Eric Patey. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his four children; Leonard (Karen) of Corner Brook, NL, Donna (Robert) of British Columbia, Janine (Gordon) of British Columbia, Arlene (Gordon) of British Columbia, five grandchildren; Dustin, Amanda, Jessica, Brian, and Julia. Also leaving to mourn his sister Laura of St. Anthony, NL, sister-in-law Bertha LeGrow of St. John’s, brother-in-law Harold King of Conn. USA, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his dear wife Margaret, sisters Dorothy and Charlotte, brothers; George, Garland and Joseph. Donald served in the Royal Air Force as well as the Newfoundland Ranger Force. During the 1940’s and 50’s, “Don” flew in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Northern Quebec and Ontario as a bush pilot. Upon his retirement, he had served 27 years with the Newfoundland Provincial Government Department of Social Services, St. John’s. Dad will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a kind and caring Father and Grandfather who placed family first. Visitation will take place at K.M.
