Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myra LeDrew announce her passing on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Fred, her daughter Ruth LeDrew and her son Lorne LeDrew both of Ontario; her siblings Hilda Driver (Harold) of Australia, Stan Halfyard (Brenda) of Woody Point, Rose Dewhirst of Woody Point, Sam Halfyard (Gloria) of Pasadena, Elizabeth Park (George) of Ontario, Nancy Luscombe (Larry) of Corner Brook, sister-in-law Shirley Halfyard of Woody Point as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Alfred and Leah, and brothers Jim and Ron. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 29th, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will take pace on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kim Waite officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.

Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benjamin Cooper announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on June 8, 2009 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Elizabeth, his daughter, Barbara (Roland) of Gaultios, his sons; Gordon (Sheila) in Halifax, Nathan (Dianne) in Ottawa, Calvin (Ruby) of Gaulios, and Benjamin Jr. (Marie) of Corner Brook, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her four children; Betty Alden of Plattsburgh, New York, Bernice (Aaron Gallant) of Stephenville, Joseph and Eva (Kevin McCarthy) of Corner Brook, 24 Grand children, 28 great grandchildren, her sisters; Elizabeth (Stewart Morley), Mary, (Cecil Davis), Helen Reid, May (Donald Marshall, Flo Randell, brother Fred (Cora) Randell, sisters-in-law; Betty Randell, Ethel Randell, Valerie (Kevin) Pumphrey, Joan (Harry) Sparkes and a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and residents and staff of the Lohnes Complex. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Hayes, her parents George and Elizabeth Randell, her daughter Helen Gallant, her granddaughter Sarah Gallant, her grandson Jim Hayes, her son-in-law John Alden, her brothers; George, Lloyd, Roy and John Randell, sisters; Eva Adams, Stella Newhook, Joan Jayne, Toots Silmarie and Dorothy Randell, her sisters-in-law; Bertha Yeager, Bernice Tomasko and brother-in-law Thomas Hayes. He is predeceased by his daughters; Sonia and Wanda, parents Amy and Simon, parents-in-law John and Ellen Jane, brother Howard, sisters; Alfreda, Mary and Viola, and great granddaughter Erica.
