EARLE, Mildred C. — Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family after a short illness at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, October 6, 2007, Mildred C. Earle of Carbonear, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas H. in 2003, infant son Craig, son-in-law David Squires and parents Eugene and Hazel Marshall. Leaving to mourn five daughters: Paula Squires, Cynthia (Kenneth) Noel and Cheryl (Frank) Pike, all of Carbonear, Carol (John) Button, Paradise, and June (Bill) Atkins, Cambridge, ON; three sons: Curtis (Paula), Kilbride, Kevin (Margaret) and Greg (Elizabeth), both of Carbonear; 11 grandchildren: Deanne, David (Helen), Jennifer, Nicholas, Neil (Jamie), Billy (Amy), Stephen, Laura, Allisonne (Rod), Justin and Sara; eight great-grandchildren: Robyn, Alex, Jillian, Jenna, Arielle, Owen, Caila and Liam; three sisters: Francis Snow and Donna (Fred) Hiscock, both of Freshwater, Carbonear, and Jean Tanasychuk, Carbonear; one brother: Wayne (Ella) Marshall, Carbonear; five sisters-in-law: Mary (George) Saunders, St. John’s, Nina Garland, Harbour Grace, Jessie Earle, Carbonear, Mavis Earle, St. John’s, and Ruby Earle, ON; brother-in-law: Walter (Francis) Earle, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. FEWER, Michael Joseph – Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, October 6th, 2007. Michael Joseph Fewer, aged 81 years. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Ellen Fewer; brothers James, Edward and sister Betty. Dear husband of Robin (nee MacGillivray); loving father of Mitzi, Beth, Michael (Rona), Mark, Kathleen (Adrian); cherished grandfather of Jessica, Samuel, Benjamin, Daniel and Adam; also leaving to mourn sister Mary Hogan; brothers Gerry Fewer (Kay), William Fewer (Pauline); sisters-in-law Carol Campbell (Murray), Jinx MacGillivray and Bonnie MacGillivray; brothers-in-law William D. After 36 years working with Asarco in Buchans, “Safety Chess” retired in Carbonear (1982) . Predeceased by parents: John and Mary Ellen, sisters: Mildred, Lillian, Beatrice and Ethel, brother: John. Leaving to mourn wife: E. HORECKA, Daniel James – Dec. 9, 1932 – Oct. 6, 2007. Age 74 years. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday Oct. 6, 2007. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Marion; daughters Mary Kearsey (Larry), Bradford, ON, Debbie (Adams) Gollop (Calvin, his best buddy and good friend) and Phyllis Clancey (Charlie Power); son Bernard Clancey (Madeline O’Rouke), Etobicoke ON; his children in the U.S.A. John, Donald, Robert and Pat; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his transportation friend Bill Bragg, Goulds. At Daniel’s request cremation has taken place with no funeral service.

MALONEY, Mary — March 25, 1930- October 5, 2007. Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on October 5, 2007. Predeceased by her husband Walter Maloney, daughter Rosalind Durdle, parents Margaret and Laurence Tobin, and son-in-law Fred Burke. Left with fond memories is daughter Alice Burke, grandchildren Jenny and Billy Durdle. Jo Ann Pike (Alf), Paul Burke (Lori), four great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret Rose and Bernadine House. Special niece Beverley Murphy (Blair), sister-in-law Ann Power, Ret Maloney, brother-in-law Mike Maloney (Shirley) and many friends. Mrs. Maloney was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland on March 25, 1930, and has been a resident of Cambridge since 1970. At the family’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge.
