Lillian May Quilty (Hann)
(June 8, 1941 - October 16, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian May Quilty (Hann) of Mount Moriah announce her sudden passing at her residence on October 16, 2011 at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn her husband Leo. Children Wanda, Dan (Kathy), Brent (Zena), Bill (Bev), Lana (George Baker), Jason (Jane Davis), grandchildren Scott (Leanna Connolly), Dwayne, Ryan, Renee, Kirk, Jeffrey and Mark Quilty. Sisters Emma Simms, Ula Walsh (David), Martha Payne (Sterling) . Brothers Grant (Elizabeth), Calvin (Sylvia), and William. Sister-in-law Meta Hann. Special friends Marion Butt, Patsy Butt and Margie Gosse. Special cousins Ivy Kettle, Marilyn Hunt, Daphne Seymour, Jessie Edmonds and Imelda Butt. She also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Ella Belinda and George Hann; sister Amelia and brothers Charles, Wilburn, Leslie and Winston. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Tuesday October 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at 2pm from the Salvation Army Temple O’Connell Dr. with Major Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place on Friday October 21, 2011 at 11.00 am. As expression of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Society.

Jerry Park
(August 6, 1946 - October 16, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jerry Park announces his passing at the Palliative Care Unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday October 16, 2011 at the age of 65 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 44 years Dolores Park, son Donnie (Cindy Bellows), daughters Sandy (John Joyce), Laurie (David Roche), his pride and joys grandchildren Gregory, Kelsey, a special pop to Jeremy and Danielle Wheeler, brothers Don, Paul (Barbara), Rod (Donna), Harry (Marilyn), sisters Joan (Art Fisher), Carrol (John Crossley), Marg (Tom Pumphrey), Mary (Jimmy Russell), Julie (Paul Perrik), sister-in-laws Dorthy (Eli), Marie, Jean (Danny Payne), Susan (Glenn West), Patsy (Danny Wheeler), Rosemarie, Sadie (Rick Edwards), brother-in-laws Dave (Mary), Lew, and two special children David and Jacob, also A large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father Anne & Roy, Brother Randy, father and mother in law Gordon and Katherine Snooks, and brother in law Don. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday October 19, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at later date. As expressions no flowers by request, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Olive May Diamond
(August 20, 1927 - October 26, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of Olive May Diamond announce her passing at the long term care centre on Wednesday October 26, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Olive was born at Green Island Cove Nl to her parents Albert and Sarah Bailey. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Lloyd (Shirley), daughter Jill Hoyland (John), granddaughter Lana Lorena Diamond, nieces Sharon Bailey, Yvonne Way (Kirby), Stephanie Bailey, and Jessica Bailey. Nephews Trevor Bailey (Joanne), Stephan Way. She is predeceased by her husband Whyman Diamond in 2006, and brother William Bailey (Rosemond) . Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will take place at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 163 Premier Drive Corner Brook, Nl today Friday October 28, 2011 at 2 pm. Interment to take place at a later date AT Big Brook Cemetery Northern Peninsula. As expression of sympathy flowers or donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Martha Ann O'Keefe
(April 5, 1919 - November 2, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha Ann O’Keefe announces her passing at the Palliative Care Unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday November 2, 2011 at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband of 71 years William (Bill) O'Keefe, son Donald Delaney (Paula), NS, daughters Margaret Noseworthy, Corner Brook, Alfreda Wiseman, AB, Grandchildren Darren O'Keefe (Jane), Paula (O'Keefe) Pretty (Perry), Douglas, Jason, Jennifer, Sabrina, Samantha, Jodi and Stephanie, and Great Grandchildren, Ryan, Laura and Maria, Sisters, Teresa Power, Corner Brook, Margaret Power, Benoits Cove, Special Niece Ann Pennell, Corner Brook, Other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ann will also be especially remembered by daughter in laws Linda (O'Keefe) McHugh and Gail (Barry) Delaney. She is predeceased by her loving sons, David O'Keefe and Edward Delaney, Sisters Madeleine, Mary, Gertrude, Elizabeth and Brothers Tom, Jim and Felix Walsh and her parents Felix and Sarah Walsh. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Friday November 4, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Mass will take place at the Most Holy Redeemer Church Mount Bernard Avenue on Saturday November 5th at 10.30am., With Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Annie Violet Earle (Nee Andrews)
(February 14, 1939 - October 22, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Violet Earle (Nee Andrews) announced her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday October 22, 2011 in her 73 year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her three loving children son John Earle (Lorraine), daughter Elaine Neal (Harry), son Glen Earle (Rebekah), brother Marc Andrews (Barbara), sisters Gladys Osmond of Vancouver, BC, (Ray deceased in 2004), Olive Antle (Ray), Joan Ledrew (Paul), brother-in-law Leslie Earle (Hattie), sister-in-law Nina Stuckey (Clayton), her loving grandchildren Adam and Steven Neal (Elaine and Harry Neal), also a large circle of loving nieces, nephews, as well as extended family, and close friends. She will be especially missed by her loving friend Florence Combdon, also Annie will be sadly missed by the staff and clients of the VON Adult Day Program. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Elwood Earle in 1997, father Wilson Andrews in 1971, and mother Ethel Andrews (Nee Russell) in 1983, brothers Harvey Andrews in 1989, Derek Andrews in 2005, sister-in-laws Josie Stratton on New Brunswick in 1996 (George deceased in 2006), and Hazel Andrews (Nee Baker) in 1994. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Monday October 24, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Tuesday October 25, 2011 from 9-10:30 A.M.. Funeral Service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at 11 A.M. with Reverend Kim Waite officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Annie was a lifetime volunteer (September 1988 – August 2009) at the VON Adult Day Program. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the VON Adult Day Program.

Francis Joseph Cormier
(March 22, 1917 - October 23, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Cormier announce his passing on October 23, 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility surrounded by his loving family.He leaves to mourn his children Donna (Kevin Cave) of Oshawa, Ontario, David of Corner Brook, Joe (Donna) of Amherstburg, Ontario and Mark (JoAnn) of Truro, Nova Scotia as well as his sister-in-laws Anita Stewart and Patricia Cormier, both of Corner Brook, and Emily Grant of Oakville Ontario. Frank was a Grampy to Tina (Craig Watt), Sandra, Amy (Guy Esposito), Andrew, Matthew, Rebecca and Daniel and Great Grampy to Leigh-Anne and Kyle. Frank was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (2009) with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, his parents Joe and Mary Cormier, siblings Basil, Margaret, Alma, Gladys, Henrietta and Harold, brother-in-law Colin, mother and father-in-law Arther and Minnie Clara Stewart, brother-in-law's Bernard Peddle, Frank Flynn, Leo Bruce and Nish Lee. Frank served in the 166th Newfoundland Royal Artillery from 1940-1945. He served on the Corner Brook West town council from 1946-1949 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Corner Brook Co-op Society for 10 years. He worked with Bowater Pulp and Paper for 43 years and retired in 1979 during which time he was actively involved with Local 64 and Local 242. Frank was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Howley Council and served as its Faithful Navigator for 3 terms. Frank enjoyed 32 years of retirement during which time he enjoyed traveling with Marjorie, visiting his children and grandchildren, sharing coffee with his buddies, and attending daily masses. Frank loved life, his family, his friends and God. He is reunited with Marjorie now and forever. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday October 25, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday October 26, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will take place at the Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral Mount Bernard Ave on Thursday October 27, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating . Cremation will take place. Interment to take place on Friday October 28, 2011 at 12.00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or charity of one’s choice.

Edgar V. (Eddie) Edwards
(February 13, 1932 - October 28, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of Edgar Eddie Edwards announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on October 28, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Eddie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ella of 59 years, his loving daughters; Sheila, Elaine (Gene Hall) and Sherry (Keith Kean) . Dear grandchildren, Trudy-Ann, Chrissy (Jonathan Payne), Tyler, Chelsea, and great grandson Jonas. Sisters; Gertrude Brake, Muriel Calvert, Bessie Wheeler, and a large circle of loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Lillian, twin sister Amy, Nita, Mary, Christina and Susie, father and mother-in-law Freddie and Beatrice Bartlett, brother-in law Bill Wheeler, Ron Edwards, Fred Calvert, Robert Brake, and Neal Bartlett (Olive), sister-in-law Jean Rowsell and her husband Elmo. Eddie was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Listening to music and playing the accordion, was his pastime. He enjoyed working around his garden. Fall was his favorite time of year. Eddie enjoyed moose hunting with his friends and spending time in Green Bay with extended family. Eddie worked as a Linotype operator with the Western Star for many years. He was the Mailman with the Provincial Government for 27 years, when he retired. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Saturday October 29, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 31, 2011 at 11 A.M. with the Venerable Reverend Edward King officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
