Shirley Fronia Goosney
(March 25, 1936 - June 13, 2011)
Passed peacefully away on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Shirley Goosney, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75 years. Left to mourn by her loving family that meant the world to her, son; Barry (Glenda), grandchildren; Adam & Heather as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband; Gerald Goosney (Sept. 9, 2006), father Gordon Young; mother, May Young; brothers: Clarence and Ralph; sisters: Evelyn Kennedy and Ina Kennedy. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, Main Street on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.
Sarah Jean Brake
(October 31, 1947 - June 17, 2011)
The family of the late Sarah Jean Brake (Hann) are saddened to announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, June 17, 2011. She was very strong and courageous in her battle with pancreatic cancer and was surrounded by her family and friends during her illness. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter; Tena Reid, (Grandsons Dylan and Brady), son Geoff (Carolanne), granddaughter Chloe, also left to mourn are brothers; Ormsby Hann, James Hann (Hazel), Victor Hann (Nancy), sisters; Maxine Halfyard (Bill), Joan Maynard (George), Marie Walbourne, Fern Wheeler (Danny), Eileen Hann (friend Lawrence) and Marcie Porter (Tex) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her mother; Jessie, and father; William, brothers; Franklin Hann and Brazil Hann, nephew; Shannon Wheeler, sister-in-law Mame Hann. The family would like to thank Doctor Gunson, Doctor Rashleigh and Doctor Dunn. With special thanks to the living angels of the Palliative Care Unit, Eileen Coombs, Vivian, Sheila, Mary, Elizabeth, Pam, Kathy, Beulah, Michelle, Lana, Allysia, and Linda for their special care and attention. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place at Bethany United Church, Summerside, NL on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery in Summerside, NL. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Angela Welshman announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Frank (Imelda), granddaughter; Cynthia (friend Lou), grandson; Rodney (Paula), great granddaughters; Emma & Abby, her sister; Beatrice, and brother; Millage, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband; Hayward Welshman, parents; Maxium & Jane Marche, sisters; Mary & Veronica, brothers; Gordon, Raymond, and Teddious. Special thanks to the staff of the Western Health Bungalows, nurses at the Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Morris. Cremation has taken place.
