DUFF, Noreen Margaret (Emsley) – Aged 77 years. Passed peacefully away on Monday, September 24, 2007 in the presence of her loving family at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Predeceased by her sisters Francie and Mary and her daughter-in-law Deb. Left to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Kevin; five children: John (Kathy), Ed (Maureen), Michael (Brenda), Craig (Roxanne) and Karen (Ken Walters); eight grandchildren: John, Alison, Scott, Patrick, Matthew, Bridget, Monica and soon to arrive Zachary; two brothers: Maurice (Blanche) and Gerry (Lise) . FEWER, Sharon (nee Barnes) – Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, September 24, 2007, Sharon Fewer of Cupids, aged 52 years. FINN, William J. (Bill) John – Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Health Sciences Centre on September 23, 2007, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his loving wife, Sally, his parents Patrick and Louise Finn and his son, Tim. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Ted and Pat; daughter-in-law Sandy; grandchildren (his special buddies) : Barry, Jeffrey and Michaela; sisters: Carty (Leonard), Rose (Ed), Jennie (Brazil), Patricia (Claude), Bernadine (Randy) and Harriett (Huck); brothers: Jack (Isabelle), Tom (Carol), Bernie (Melita), Eddie (Tootsie), David (Sandra); sisters-in-law: Maisie, Sheila, Maureen; brothers-in-law: Jerry (Alma), Luke (Lois), John, Pat (Janet) and Brian (Rita); as well as many other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn is his wife Barbara (Marsh) of 35 years; four children: Lisa Wickens, Michelle Hennessey (Bernie); Raymond (Kim); and Kim Layman (Pat); five grandchildren: Jessica, Jonathan, Patrick, Holley and Stephanie; three brothers: Gerald, Herb (Lorraine); Gary (Monica); and one sister Marlene (Edgar); his mother-in-law Evelyn Marsh; special friends Leonard and Madeline, as well as a large number of relatives, friends and co-workers of Browning Harvey Ltd. O’LEARY, Olivera (Vera) Marie (nee Cormier) – Passed peacefully away at her residence on Monday, September 24, 2007, Vera O’Leary, age 76 years. Predeceased by her husband Sean Wallace O’Leary and son Padraic (Paddy) . Leaving to mourn her loving family, two sons: Sean F. and Miceal (Mike) wife Joyce, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two daughters: Mairin (Maureen) Hitsman and husband Michael, Tamarac, Florida and Sheilagh O’Leary; eight grandchildren: Keeley and Keegan O’Leary; Kaelen, Killian and Kieran Hitsman, Eamon Maren Ellis O’Leary and Eoin George O’Leary; three sisters: Madeleine Bedelia and Barbara; two brothers: Adolph and Gerald; sister-in-law: Deirdre O’Leary and many other relatives and friends. PIKE, Francis William (Bill) — Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at the Caribou Veteran’s Pavilion on Saturday, September 22, 2007, Francis William Pike in his 82nd year. Bill served with the 166th Nfld Field Regiment during WWII and was a member of the Canadian Legion Branch Number 1. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Ruby (Brake); loving daughter Elizabeth (Edward) Lockyer and precious granddaughter Alexandria; also sister Ellen Roberts; brothers: James (Ruby), Mack (Ann); sisters-in-law: Bertha Butler and Hilda Pike; nieces, nephews and a large circle of other family and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents The Honorable Frank and May Pike; also brother George and brother-in-law Stanley Roberts.
