WALSH, John James – Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, John James Walsh in his 68th year. Predeceased by his parents Stephen & Annie Walsh, brothers Stephen, Roy and William, sisters Kathleen and Elizabeth. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Carol, sons Randy (Lynn) and Rick (Ledona); three grandchildren Jeremy, Keshia and Brittany; brother Vincent (Florence) of Fort McMurray; sister Marie (Tom) Pritchett of North Carolina; sisters-in-law Joy (Robert) Janes, Bonita (J. Maritz) of Gander, Colleen (John Clarke) of Ottawa; brother-in-law Keith (Louise) of St. John’s; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Walsh of Grand Falls, Lillian Walsh of Gander; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. BURKE, Eleanor F. (nee Gruchy) – September 13th, 1936- September 21st, 2007, aged 71 years. Our lives are forever changed and our hearts broken with the sudden passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph (January 31st, 1989) . MERCER, Mavis Viola (Grace) nee Anstey – Passed peacefully away on September 22nd, 2007, at the age of 81 years after a brief illness. Predeceased by her son Randy in 1968; grandsons Brandon in 1994 and Justin in 1996; brothers William in 2002 and Albert in 2005 and his wife Agatha in 2007. Leaving to mourn her children Kevin (Brenda), Lawrence (Carolle), Charles (Donna), Marjorie (Mark), Gerald (Paula) Wanda (Allan) and her father Richard; Brothers Thomas (Bernadette), Gerald (Mark); sisters Mildred, Phyllis and Gladys; sister-in-law Jessie Dunphy and Rose Mercer; 10 grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. O’NEILL, Esther (November 13, 1913 - September 21, 2007) – It is with great sadness that the family of the late Esther O’Neill announce her passing at the L.A. Miller Centre at the age of 93 years. She was born on Bell Island, the daughter of Philip and Mary Corbett and grew up in St. John’s, NL. Left with many wonderful memories are husband of 58 years, Lawrence; brother-in-law John O’Neill (Elizabeth), St. John’s, NL; sisters-in-law: Mary Collins (Robert, deceased), Virginia Beach, USA; Catherine Greeley (Earnest), Bay Roberts, NL and Theresa O’Neill (Francis, deceased), Mt. TUCKER, Leslie – Passed away at his residence on St. Thomas Line, Paradise on Friday, September 21st, 2007, Leslie Tucker, aged 64 years. Predeceased by his parents Florence Mae and Cyril Tucker, his brothers David, Douglas, Robert and sister Lillian Squires. His mother- and father-in-law Mary and David Foley and sister-in-law Patsy Rose. Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife Sheila (Foley); two sons, Leslie (Michelle) and Andrew; one daughter, Sheila (Steve); seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam, Jessica, Marliana, Alissa, Melissa and Jeremy; four sisters, Dorothy, Florence, Selena (George), Winnie (Garfield); four brothers, Levi (Patsy), Geoffrey (Vera), Arthur (Madeline), Henry (Mary); sisters-in-law Rita and Margaret; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends.
