WOODROW, Joseph V. – of St. John’s, who passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park, St. John’s on Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Mr. Woodrow was in his 85th year. DAVIS, Isaac B.C. – Died suddenly at his residence on September 18, 2007, Isaac Davis, age 90 years. Owner and operator of the first Canadian Tire Store in Newfoundland and Labrador, charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Grenfell and life time member of the St. James United Church Choir, as well as life member of Lodge Tasker (Mason) . Lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Olive; children Marion, Cheryl, Robert (Dianne), Paul (Jill); grandchildren Jill Howlett (David), Nancy Handrigan (Peter Oleskevich), Kurt Handrigan (Daryl), Beth (fiancée Hussain Jamshidi), Jeffrey, Andrew, Mark and Stephanie Davis and Peter Phillips-Davis; five great-grandchildren Raphaël Srawley (Michelle), Emmanuel Srawley (Victoria), Georgia Handrigan, Karina & Grace Oleskevich; two great-great-grandchildren Jonah & Juliette Srawley; sisters-in-law Doris Garland and Ulrica Davis and a wide circle of other relatives and friends. KELLY, Edward (1946 - 2007) – Our Brother, Father and Friend, passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 20, 2007, after a valiant battle with cancer. KELLY, James – Passed peacefully away at his home in Grates Cove, on Saturday, September 15, 2007, James Kelly aged 84. Predeceased by his parents: Mae and Michael; brother, Dennis and sisters: Mary Anna Power and Charolette Archumbault. Left to mourn, his loving and devoted wife Mary, brothers: John Joe (Angela), St. John’s, Phil (Laura), Oshawa, ON, Edmund (Mary), Red Head Cove and sister, Nellie Purchase, Brighton, ON. He will be sadly missed by his sons: Paul (Joan), Mike (Tammy), both of Old Perlican; Chris (Sharon), Brian (Sonya) both of Grates Cove; and loving daughter, Margaret Squires (Rick) of Old Perlican. His warm and loving nature will also be greatly missed by his five granddaughters (Tessa, Megan, Nadine, Melani and MaKayla) and six grandsons (Curtis, Joseph, Michael, Jamie, Aaron and Riley) and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Father Joseph Kelly and Fr. Mike Barker conducted the funeral service on Monday, September 17 at St. Joseph’s Church in Grates Cove and R.C. Cemetery in Grates Cove, Trinity Bay.
LEWIS, Calvin “Josh” – Passed away suddenly on September 17, 2007 at the age of 61 in Ajax, Ontario. Beloved husband of Geraldine for 39 years. Devoted father of Edward (Erin), Rodney and Darren. Proud grandfather of Mitchell and Jacob. Dear brother of Tony (Carol) and Beverley (Spencer) Walsh. Calvin was predeceased by siblings Louise Maddox, Gerald Lewis and Sandra Rios. MADDOX, Louise (nee Lewis) – Passed away suddenly on September 17, 2007 at the age of 64 in Perry, Florida. Loving sister of Bev (Spencer) Walsh, Tony (Carol) Lewis and sister-in-law Geraldine Lewis. Predeceased by brothers Calvin and Gerald Lewis and sister Sandra Rios (Lewis) . She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, family, friends and co-workers. MOULTON, Clarence A. – Passed peacefully away with his family at his side at the Palliative Care Unit on September 20, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, Clarence Augustus Moulton, aged 73 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Louise (1999), very special uncle Lot Cossar (1994), father-in-law Jack Henderson (1995), brothers Harold (2003), Arthur (2007) and brother-in-law Patrick Maloney (1997) . Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, mother-in-law Blanche Henderson, daughter Yvonne and her husband Obed Grant, son Bob and his wife Joan, his three loving grandsons whom he adored, Christopher Grant, and Robert and Thomas Moulton. Sister Margaret Maloney, and brother Gordon and his wife Joan, sisters-in-law Anne and Florence Moulton. Special friends, Phyllis Normore, and Heather, Paul, Madison, and Aiden Byrne. Nieces and nephews Larry and Karen Moulton and family, Patti, Perry and Kayla Gauley, Mary Jane Maloney, Patricia and Steve Grainger and family, Peggy Maloney, Brenda and Vince Clements and family, Brian and Kathy Moulton and family, Bruce and Lennie Moulton and family, Kelly and Stephen Blackwood and family, and Joanne and Doug Day, and a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Robert Woodland and Mary and all the medical staff who assisted him during his illness. At his request, cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held in Burgeo on Monday, October 1, with inurnment to follow at the Community Cemetery.
