COLBERT, Joseph John – Passed away after a 2-year battle with cancer at the age of 71. Predeceased by daughter Karen in 2003 and grandson Brant in 1998. Leaving to mourn daughters Barb (Randy Aspell), Diane (Ken White), Michelle (Wayne Ward); son Joseph Jr. (Peggy); grandchildren Lori, Jacinta & Brittany Aspell; Meghan Elliott; Melissa & Kyle White; Michaela Colbert; Cassandra & John Colbert; Johnny McGrath; brother Cyril Colbert (Deloris); sister Esther Hutchings; special friends Fred and Beth Hatcher and special nurse Bertha Tee. COLES, Nina (Edith) – Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on September 19, 2007 (Edith) Nina Coles, age 68 years. Predeceased by loving husband George Foster, parents Humphrey and Nora, brothers Donald, Alonzo, Fred, Henry and Humphrey; sisters Jessie Nippard, Alice Sweetapple and Bessie Coles. Left with loving memories are her loving companion George Johnson; son Vincent (Tammy) Coles; daughters Judy (Brent) Jenkins, Janis (Ken) Nichols; grandchildren Whitney, Jenna, Geoffrey and Kyle will sadly miss their Nanny Coles; sisters Stella Waterman, Rita West, Nellie Gillingham; brother Gordon Coles. CRANE, Edgar Chesley – Passed peacefully away following a courageous battle with cancer at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John’s on September 19, 2007, Edgar Crane, in his 64th year. Predeceased by his father Jack, mother Laura (Guest); brothers Leonard, Francis, Edward and George. Leaving to mourn with warm and loving memories his wife Sandra (Hunt) of 42 years; daughters Kerri (Mark) Wareham and Lisa (Christopher) King; grandchildren Kayleigh and Jonah Wareham, Meghan, Alexander, Michael and Jacob King; brothers Gordon, Harold and Cyril (Barbara) of Ajax, Ont; sister Florence (Jiri) Call, Pickering, Ont.; parents-in-law Jack and Irene Hunt; brothers-in-law Derek Hunt and Geoffrey (Rose) Hunt; sisters-in-law Linda (Edward) Sharpe, Sherri (Robert) Slade, Calgary, AB; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. DALTON, Cornelius (Con) – Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at his home in Conception Harbour, Con Dalton, aged 64 years. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Ellen, brother Kevin and sister Madeline. DAVIS, Isaac B.C. – Died suddenly at his residence on September 18, 2007, Isaac Davis, age 90 years. Owner and operator of the first Canadian Tire Store in Newfoundland and Labrador, charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Grenfell and life time member of the St. James United Church Choir, as well as life member of Lodge Tasker (Mason) . Lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Olive; children Marion, Cheryl, Robert (Dianne), Paul (Jill); grandchildren Jill Howlett (David), Nancy Handrigan (Peter Oleskevich), Kurt Handrigan (Daryl), Beth (fiancée Hussain Jamshidi), Jeffrey, Andrew, Mark and Stephanie Davis and Peter Phillips-Davis; five great-grandchildren Raphaël Srawley (Michelle), Emmanuel Srawley (Victoria), Georgia Handrigan, Karina & Grace Oleskevich; two great-great-grandchildren Jonah & Juliette Srawley; sisters-in-law Doris Garland and Ulrica Davis and a wide circle of other relatives and friends. LAWLOR, Marie – Passed peacefully away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Palliative Care Unit at the L.A. Miller Centre. Predeceased by her parents Felix and Eileen (Gruchy) Lawlor. Left to cherish her memory are her loving son Jason (Susan); two precious grandchildren: Ava and Emma; brother Felix (Susan); four sisters Carol Anne (Paul), Cynthia (Dan), Rosaline (Clifford) and Charmaine (Peter); also, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at Marie's request. The family will be receiving visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A service of committal will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Columbarium at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. NORMAN, Teresa (nee Murphy) – Passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, September 20, 2007, Teresa Norman, age 93 years. Predeceased by her husband John, 1999 and brother Dominic (Johanna), 1977. Left with fond and loving memories, her children Leonard (Jane), Kevin (June - deceased), John (Joyce), Joanna (Joshua), Judy (Matthew - deceased), Paul (Glenys), Elizabeth (Vince), Robert and Donald (Maureen); twenty-one grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces Noreen Simms (Herb), Margaret Roberts, Teresa Grainer - deceased; as well as other relatives and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
