LAHEY, Glenise – Passed peacefully away on April 26th surrounded by her loving family, age 50 years. Leaving behind four special cats who she adored and the whole Stella Burry community. Glenise was an amazing woman who triumphed over tremendous adversity. She will be sadly missed but her spirit will live on in the Community Support Program which she started and which continues to transform lives. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral will take place on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Cochrane Street United Church. WALL, John (Jack) – It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Wall announce his passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor. He was born in Grand Falls on June 14, 1912 and passed away at the age of 93 on April 26, 2006. John was a pioneer citizen, with the distinction of being one of the oldest residents actually born in Grand Falls. He is a retiree of the Price Nfld. Pulp & Paper Ltd. John is predeceased by his wife Sarah (nee Gushue); parents, Garrett and Ellen Wall; brothers: Gordon, William and James of Grand Falls-Windsor; sisters: Genevieve of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Sister M. Gertrude of Presentation Convent, St. John's. Left with fond and loving memories are sons: John (Donna) and William (Shirley) of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters: Vera (Gerald Bishop) of St. John's and Mary (Albert Bennett) of Bishop's Falls. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Mary Carey (William) and Anne Kelly of Grand Falls-Windsor; grandchildren: Brian, Sean, Lisa and Joanne Bennett, Gary Wall, Jennifer and Stephen Bishop, Geoffrey, Allison and Dana Wall; 6 great-grandchildren; along with a large circle of other relatives and friends. WALSH, Roy Vincent – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Roy Vincent Walsh, formerly of Point aux Gaul, WWII Royal Navy Veteran, age 88 years. Leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and friends in Newfoundland and Ontario. Many thanks to the DVA Pavilion for their care and understanding. DAVIS, Melita – Passed peacefully away on April 24, 2006 after a battle with Alzheimer's, with her family at her side, Melita Davis (Clarke), aged 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Ronald in 1982 and daughter Mary in 1997. Leaving to mourn her sad loss daughters: Madonna, Yvonne, Patsy, Marlene (Pat Coady) and Angela (Norman Wade); sons: Charles (Eunice), Ronald (Maggie) and Jim (Janet); special grandson Joshua; a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. DOOLEY, Tomasien Josephine (nee O'Brien) – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Tomasien Dooley, formerly of Blackmarsh Road, age 81 years. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon F., 1994. Leaving to mourn her children: Josephine, Theresa (Mike deceased), John (Rosalind), David (Pauline), Gordon, Terry (Marilyn), Judy (Andrew), Linda (Gregory), Carol (Tony) and Brian (Tracy); 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Helen at Ottawa, Mary, Anita, Delores and Patricia; and predeceased by brothers: Richard and Gus. HUSSEY, Sylvia Jean – Passed suddenly, but peacefully away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, after a hard fought battle with heart disease, Sylvia Jean Hussey, age 75 years. Predeceased by her son: Donald James Hussey; mother: Cecilia Adams; father and stepmother: Edgar and Blanche Adams; and brother: Edgar David Adams, her loving grandmother Purchase. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son: Roger; daughter Linda (Andy) Burns; two grandchildren: Jesse and Devin; loving aunt: Gertrude Winsor; sisters: Daphne (Arthur) White, Elizabeth Adams, Margaret (Edgar) Rogers, Shirley (George) Shiner of Utah, US and Ruth Carlisle of Ontario; brothers: Reginald (Joan) and Eric (Lucy) of New Brunswick; sister-in-law: Marina Adams; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
