R. G. Crosbie Guzzwell

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2003, R. G. Crosbie Guzzwell in his 59th year.
Predeceased by his parents Eric and Janet Guzzwell. Leaving to mourn his sons; Robert (Zea); and Steven (friend Sarah), their mother Jackie, brother; Bert (Pauline), step-grandchildren Mariah and Shekirra, nephew John Guzzwell (Tish), niece Diane Guzzwell and many other relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. from 7-9 p.m. Sunday; 10 a.m.- 12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m- 12 noon Tuesday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25th, 2003 from Wesley United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Masonic Park Chapel Fund.

Elizabeth Framp

Elizabeth (nee Baker) Framp passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Luke's Homes on Monday, November 4, 2002, age 87 years, formerly of Hermitage. Predeceased by her father and mother as well as her four sisters and two brothers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Chesley of 59 years 10 months; two children: Sadie Wells (Calvin), and Fred (Melita); three grandchildren: Sheldon, Melanee and Joanne; as well as two sisters: Emmie Cox and Kathleen Stoodley of Harbour Breton. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of friends in Hermitage; her care givers at St. Luke's Homes; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9:30pm and on Wednesday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2002 from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Mary A. Flynn

Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Home on Monday, January 27, 2003, Mary A. Flynn (Oldest Member of the C.N.I.B.) . Age 91 years.
Predeceased by her three sisters: Sadie, Winnie, and Rita; one brother Michael Flynn. She also leaves to mourn her special niece Helen Fleming, who cared for her for 12 years; nieces: Doreen Benson and Violet Abbott who were always there for her; other nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law Albert Joy; also staff at West 1 at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday from 7-9pm, and on Wednesday from 10am-10pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2003. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. William Fey

Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, William Fey. Aged 72 years. Bill leaves with loving memories his best friend and devoted wife Lois (Noseworthy); his children, residing in England: Julie (Peter) Farrant, Lesley (Stephen) Burslam, Rose Fey (Frank) . His stepchildren: Carolyn (Rick) Young, Carl Bowering (Tara Williams), Sharon (Ed) Fitzgerald, Paul (Debbie) Bowering, Lois Fowler (Rick Glynn); eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Also a large circle of very special friends and relatives.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Friday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2003 from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.

Matthew Francis Evans

Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 Matthew Francis Evans age 58 years.
Predeceased by his father, Matthew Evans, and his brother Edmund Evans.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Sandra, his daughters Cheryl and Debbie, his son and daughter-in-law David and Roberta, his grandchildren; Melanie, Matthew and Melinda, his daughter and son-in-law Beverley and David and his grandchildren; Sarah and Adam, his mother May and brothers; Bill and wife Gloria, Leo and wife Maxine, his sister Shirley and husband Fred and sister-in-law Florence.
He is also deeply mourned by his wife's family, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, and he will be especially missed by his bad pond buddies.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Barrett's Funeral Home, 1081 Topsail Rd., Mount Pearl from 2-4 P.M., and 7-9 P.M., on Thursday and Friday.
Funeral Mass to take place 9:30 A.M., Saturday, July 19th, 2003 from Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.
"We will always remember Dad's gruff exterior which held a heart of gold. We miss you".

Bruce Bursell Barrett

Passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, March 16, 2003, Bruce Bursell Barrett (Past Master of Avalon Lodge and member of Mazol Shrine) . Aged 56 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving wife Colette (nee Edstrom); daughter Kym; two sons: Robin and Morgan; brother David Barrett (Elizabeth); sister Elizabeth Tessier; sisters-in-law: Marjorie McPherson and Judy Edstrom (her son Adam Marsh); brothers-in-law: Dr. Harry Edstrom (Grace), and Bob Edstrom; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday from 7-9pm; on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm; and on Wednesday from 10am-12noon. Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2003 from George Street United Church. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Mazol Shrine.

Samuel Davis

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre, Samuel Davis age 66 years.
Left with fond and loving memories his wife Ivy, his children; Major Cheryl Davis, Allister and wife Donna, Captain Glenda Davis, Barry and wife Valletta, Carolyn and husband Shawn Crew and Tina Davis. Also his grandchildren; Andrew, April and Aden as well as brother Baxter Davis and wife Maude, other relatives and friends.
Visitation took place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7:30 - 10 P.M., Wednesday. Resting at Pritchett’s Funeral Home, Gambo from 2 - 9:30 P.M., Thursday. Funeral service to take place 2 P.M., Friday, January 10, 2003 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Gambo. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army Gambo or Mt. Pearl Corps.
