O’NEILL, Kevin John – At The Queen Elizabeth Hospital On Monday August 20, 2007, Kevin John O’Neill of Charlottetown and formerly of St. John's, Newfoundland aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Bernice (nee Howley) . Loving father of Denis, Elizabeth (Bill Wiggins), Mary (Mel Delano) and Barb. Brother of Gerald of St. John’s Newfoundland. Predeceased by his parents John & Mary and brothers Cyril and Charles. Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 1:45 pm then to the Church of The Most Holy Redeemer for funeral Mass at 2 pm. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 pm only. Family flowers only. Memorial donations to the P.E.I. Lung Association would be appreciated.

O’TOOLE, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) – Passed peacefully away at home on Saturday, August 18, 2007, age 45 years. Leaving to mourn the O’Toole Family, her extended family: David and Wanda Dinn (Tyler and Noah), Leonard and Evelyn Miller, Marlene and Ken Chafe (Ryan and Danielle), Junior and Ann Marie Miller (Nicholas and Alicia) and Ray and Ann Dinn; as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday, August 21, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 22, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 22 at 2 p.m. from St. Kevin’s Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Gould's.

BROWNE, Patrick Norbert — Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Sunday, August 19, 2007, Patrick Norbert Browne age 83 years. Predeceased by his brothers Robert and Francis and brothers-in-law John Walsh, John Maher and Jim Williams. Sisters-in-law Jeannie Browne, Mary Browne and Mary Flood. Leaving to mourn his wife Aldicine (Wild), son David (Cathy), daughter Angela. Two grandchildren James and Matthew. Two brothers Edmund (Myra) and Michael. Three sisters Mary Walsh, Elizabeth Fogwill (Frank) and Isabelle Williams. Sister-in-law Kay Browne. Also a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from St. Teresa’s Church at 1 p.m.. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.

COLLINS, Celestine (Cel) J. Collins – 52, died Monday May 21 at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, in Ottawa Ontario. He was born in Lawn on the Burin Peninsula to the late Gerald Collins of Lamaline, and the late Veronica Collins (Edwards) of Lawn. Cel is survived by his wife Anne (Trépanier), his aunts Mary Edwards and Gloria Edwards in Newfoundland, as well as by numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn, on Saturday, August 25th, at 2 pm. After the Mass, the interment will take place at the Lawn Roman Catholic Cemetery (older section) . Following the interment there will be a reception at the Lawn Community Hall.

COLLINS, Christina (nee Little) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family and friends on August 18, 2007. Predeceased by her parents Mildred and Herbert Little, brothers Ross and Everett Little, sister Hildred. Leaving to mourn son Todd (Karen) Collins and most precious granddaughter Molly, and many more family and friends. A special thanks to those who cared for her during her illness, she will remain loved in all our hearts. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Sunday from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Monday 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 21 at 12 noon from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery on Blackmarsh Road.

DINGLE, Dr. Donald Moitié – August 9, 1931 - August 17, 2007. It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Donald Moitié Dingle announces his passing on August 17, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre, with his loving family at his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and physician having dedicated over 50 years of care to those in need. Predeceased by his father John Edward George Dingle and his mother Lillian Maude Dingle, Jersey, Channel Isles, U.K. Leaving to celebrate his life are his wife Mélanie (née De La Cour) of 53 years; daughters Jane Dingle, Toronto, ON; Caroline Blackwood, St. John’s NL; Zoë Drover (Douglas), St. John’s, NL; sons Paul (Agnes McCarthy), Sault Ste. Marie, ON; Simon (Paula Benson), St. John’s, NL; grandchildren Rebecca Hynes, Elena Hynes, Melissa Blackwood, Amanda Blackwood, Adam Drover, Matthew Drover, Benjamin Dingle, Kyle Dingle. Liam Dingle and Emma Dingle; brothers John, Brian, Morris, Peter; sister Jean Stone; as well as many other relatives, friends and colleagues. Special thanks are expressed to Dr. Kevin Melvin, Dr. George Fox, Dr. Frank Noel and all of the wonderful and caring C.V.I.C.U., C.C.U. and 5SA Nurses. Donations in his memory may be made to Amnesty International. We love you and miss you very much, yet we are comforted by all of the love, laughter and precious memories that remain in our hearts.

FILLIER, Marie – Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Pinecrest Nursing Home, Bobcaygeon, ON on Friday, August 17, 2007, Marie (nee Saunders) in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Rev. Bobby W. Fillier. Mourned by her children: Michelle Inkpen (Stuart), St. Philips, NL, Shawn Gosse (Theresa), Newmarket, ON, Tricia Gosse (Adam), Brookside, NS and step-children: Rev. Bobby K. Fillier (Rev. Victoria), Brockville, ON, and Matthew Fillier (Lorna), Halifax, NS. Missed by grandchildren: Kayte, Daniel, Ainslee, Bobby D. and Rebecca; brother Ed Saunders (Pauline), Campbellford, ON.; sister Pat Cruvellier (Jean-Pierre), St. Lambert, PQ and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her first husband Frederick C. Gosse, her parents Malcolm and Mary Saunders and her brother Howard. Friends and relatives are welcome to visit the family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be held at St. James United Church, St. John’s, on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. with the interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, ‘In Memoriam’ donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.

FLEMING, John Edward – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on August 19, 2007, John Edward Fleming, Korean War Veteran, age 75 years. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Esley; his children; his step-children; sisters: Agnes, Margie and Marie, as well as many another relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 23rd, at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Church. Interment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
