HUTCHINGS, Sadie - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on January 25, 2003, Sadie Hutchings (Smith) of Spaniard`s Bay in her 81st year. Leaving to mourn with precious memories, devoted and loving husband, Hayward, son Clarence (Marina), daughter Frances (Calvin) Gosse, dearly loved grandchildren, Jodi (Todd), Stephanie, Deanne (George) and Brad and 'Nanny Hutch`s' special pride and joy, great-grandson Jonathan, sisters, Mary King, Myra (Alex) Porter and sister-in-law Melba (Bill) Tuff, several nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Youngs Funeral Home, Spaniard`s Bay. Visitation Monday, January 27th 10 a.m.- 12 noon; 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. Tuesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral services on Tuesday, January 28 at 2 p.m. from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard`s Bay. Interment in the Anglican cemetery, Greenhead, Spaniard`s Bay. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to Holy Redeemer Church. Her weary hours and days of pain, Her troubled nights are past, In our aching hearts we know, She`s found sweet rest at last. MEANEY, Anna (nee Croft) - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on January 26, 2003, Anna Meaney, aged 64 years. A well-known and respected educator formerly of Aquaforte, Southern Shore. Predeceased by Husband Don (1980), Father Fred (1964), Mother Ida (1999) and sister-in-law Ardre. Leaving to mourn her loving son Brad and companion Dahna Hong; three sisters Mary Williams (Fred) Kilbride, Catherine O`Driscoll (Patrick) Kilbride and Phyliss Dunne (Joe) Fort McMurry; four brothers Joseph (Carmel) Aquaforte, John (Lorraine) St. John`s, Vince (Beth) Aquaforte and Gerald, Aquaforte; seven nieces; ten nephews; brothers-in-law Ray, Robert and Jack; Former co-workers in the teaching profession as well many other relatives and close friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Sunday from 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 28th, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick`s Church. Leaving to mourn husband Edward; five daughters and their husbands and her grandchildren; also sister Margaret in the States, sister Ella Rees in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, brother William Taylor (Sally), sister Isabel Parsons, both in St. John`s, also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

WALSH, Isabella - Nancy, ˛ Steady Brook, NL. - Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 2, 2003, Mrs. Isabella Walsh at the O`Connell Centre at the age of 100 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: son Adrian Walsh (Diane), Kentville, N.S.; daughter Janet Manuel, with whom she resided, Steady Brook; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. John A. Walsh of Manuels, Conception Bay South, brother William, mother Janet Hardy, and son-in-law Terrence Manuel. Visitation will take place from Filatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark`s Avenue on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Church, Humber Road, officiated by Fr. Gordon Grace and Fr. John Molloy. Interment to follow at the family plot in Topsail, St. John`s. Your prayers are appreciated.

Predeceased by her husband Ernest in 1977. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Major Melva (Hector) Elliott, Brazil; Major Joan (Roland) Murphy, Toronto; son: Reg (Grace) Pretty, Clarenville; grandchildren: Brian (Rochelle) and Barry Elliott; Dana (Murphy) King (Ken); Darrin and David Murphy; Greg, Stephen and Heather Pretty; sister, Ida (Cornelius) Goulding of Gambo; sisters-in-law: Mildred (William) Reader of Bloomfield/Musgravetown and Cavell Pretty of Dildo; brother-in-law, Leslie Pretty of Dildo; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place from the S.A. Citadel, Gambo, Thursday, October 4, at 2 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Violet, of 44 years; daughters: Kay (George Davis), Shoal Harbour, Karen (Tim Greening), Harcourt and Joanne, Ontario; sons: Andy (Dianne), Aspen Brook and Kenneth (Judy), Clarenville; sister Rita Clarke, Victoria Village, Carbonear; four grandchildren: Jason, Mitchell, David and Justin; and a large number of relatives and friends. DROVER, Lenzie Enid (nee Cluett) - passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter, son and daughter-in-law on June 2, 2002 at Sunnybrook Women`s College Hospital, Toronto, ON. Lenzie was in her 88th year and is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Peter Drover, February 26, 1998. Lenzie was born in Garnish on July 28, 1914 and lived in Portugal Cove for over 63 years where she was an active and loved member of the community. She will truly be missed. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter Angela A. Pfeiffer (Carl), San Antonio, Texas; son James E. Drover and daughter-in-law Margaret Drover, Portugal Cove; grandchildren: Mark Adamson, Dallas, Texas, Nancy Marcus (Craig), Oxnard, California, Jennifer Drover (David Mattinen), Toronto, ON, Janice Drover, Toronto, ON; great-grandchildren: Jack and Peter Marcus. She is also survived by her sisters: Flora Sissons (Bart), Los Angeles, California, Susie Day, Garnish, Joyce Mitchell (Warrick), Boston, Massachusetts, and her brother Ernest Cluett (Bertha), Garnish. Also mourning her loss is a large circle of relatives and friends, both in Canada and in the United States. The family will receive visitors at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday, June 5 and 6 from 2- 4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove on Friday, June 7, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. After the graveside service, a reception celebrating her life will be held at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church or a charity of choice.

Resting at Pendergast`s Funeral Home. Funeral services on Friday, June 7, 2002 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Cyprian`s Church. Interment to follow in Anglican cemetery, Bell Island.

Cremation has taken place.
