COFFIN, Sarah E. - Passed peacefully away at St. Luke`s Nursing Home on April 12, 2001 at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband William. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories one son George (Sheila), Robinsons; one daughter Marie Blackwood (Bertram), Mount Pearl; two sisters: Jessie, Toronto and Mary (Hector), Grand Bank; four grandchildren: Bill, Lloyd, Deanna and Kimberley; five great-grandchildren: Jerry, Nicole, Hayley, Sarah, Myala; one great-great-grandchild Abigail; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to take place at Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Road. BURT, Gertrude (Gertie) (nee Hibbs) - Passed peacefully away after a short battle with cancer at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital on Monday, June 3, 2002, Gertrude Burt, age 59 years. Predeceased by her daughter Elsie, parents: Silas and Levina Hibbs and sister Byrlnn Randall. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her devoted husband of 42 years, Cyril Burt; two loving daughters: Betty (Ron) Barker and Alice Lane; one devoted son Ivan (Linda); nine grandchildren Ron (Jr.), Adam, Jennifer, Marybeth, Samantha, Heidi, Kerrianne, Jannessa and Andrew; three sisters: Bessie (Martin) Burt, Daisy (Dwight) Langdon and Mabel Keats; three brothers: Art (Olive) Hibbs, Norman (Janet) Hibbs and Rex (Marg) Hibbs; also special friends: Joyce Ash and Cavelle Gallagher, as well as a large circle of family and friends. STURGE, Margaret (nee Rice) - After a long and courageous battle with diabetes and kidney disease, Margaret Passed peacefully away on Aug. 3, 2003 at Chancellor Park where she had been resident since May 2002. Margaret was 71 years old. Beloved wife of the late Franklyn Sturge, Margaret is survived by her dearly loved and devoted son Derrick and daughter-in-law Paula. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends who shared in her life, including her sisters Marie (Mel) and Maureen, and her brother Frank (Lorraine). A special thank you to all those who cared and supported her over the last several months including the caring staff at Chancellor Park, Jim and Ollie McDonald and Marina Osborne.
