ADAMS, Josephine (Jo) - passed away on September 27, 2001 after six weeks of illness at Newton Regency Care Home, Surrey, BC. Survived by husband, Oswald (Os), daughters; Joan Feltham (Ottawa), Sherrill Mitton (Al), Delta, BC; four grandchildren: Terry Feltham (Ottawa), Bev McCullough, Steve Mitton (Loree), Kim Janzen (Wes), Surrey, BC; six great-grandchildren: Samantha McCullough, Kristina, Johnny, Christopher Janzen and, Amanda and Emily Mitton; and one sister, Irene Lidstone, Mount Pearl, NF. The funeral was September 30, 2001 at Valley View Funeral Home, Surrey, BC. Donations may be made in memory of Jo Adams to The Gideon`s c/o A. Mitton, 11759 Lyon Road, Delta, BC V4E 2S8.

WALSH, Kathleen (Kay) - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, August 5, 2003, Kay Walsh, Kelligrews, age 64 years. Predeceased by her husband Joe, 1993 and her brother Bill. Left with fond and loving memories, three daughters: Sharon Stanley (Graham), Cindy Wilkins (Bruce) and Dana Lundrigan (Darryl); two sons: Greg (Carol Ann) and Kevin (Paula); seven grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda, Stephanie, Justin, Elizabeth, Nathan and Lance; her mother, Mary Craig, Cambridge, ON; two sisters: Mary and Bernadette (Kevin); three brothers: Tom (Floss), Ted and Bern (Lynn); brothers-in-law: Bernard Walsh (Ursula) and Mark Walsh; sister-in-law Margaret (Alvin); also a large number of relatives and friends; also special friends: Florence Bickford, Shirley Murphy and Frank and Mary Bussey. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Visitation on Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward`s Church, Kelligrews. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Carol; sons: Richard (Eanie), Stephen (Tonya); daughters: Lorraine (Chris), Sharon (Scott), Terri-Lynn and Lori; two granddaughters: Rebecca and Tiffany; three grandsons: Coady, Dakota and Lukas; five brothers: Elwood (Phyllis), Lionel (Cora), Augustus (Bernice), Wilson (Vivian), Ralph (Dale); five sisters: Georgina Vokey (Fred, deceased), Gladys Gosse (Karl), Olive Traverse (Con), Millie Gosse (Lloyd), Ella Upshall (Arnold); also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home, Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne. Funeral service will be held at the United Church, Markland on Wednesday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the United cemetery, Markland.

WILLS, Madeline - Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre on August 6, 2003, Madeline Wills, aged 76 years. Predeceased by her father and mother, Michael and Sarah Clemens, four brothers and one sister. Leaving to mourn her sister Nellie Crewe, Mount Pearl; loving niece Eileen (husband Edward), and their children Darren Moore and Lisa Avery. Also two very special friends who loved her dearly, Edward Escott and Dorothy King. Also leaving to mourn her friends Sherry and Jason Pearce. As well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday at 12:30 p.m. from Caul`s Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory can made to the H. Bliss Murphy Foundation.

Leaving to mourn his two daughters: Kathleen Groomsbridge (Jeff McIroy) and Charlotte Desjardins (Paul); five grandchildren: Johnny, Justin, Krystal, Tiffany and P.J., all from Ontario; five sisters: Myra Carter (Don), Hazel Coombs (Cyril), Amelia Parsons (Warren), Rosalind Atkins (Hubert) and Minnie Wasmeier (Tor); three brothers: Randolph, Clifford (Sheila), Walter (Laura); as well, numerous nieces and nephews. At Wallace`s request, a graveside service and interment will take place on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in The Anglican cemetery, Bell Island.

Predeceased by father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Lillian Roach, Coley`s Point. Resting at Moore`s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts with visitation on Monday from 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. and Tuesday 10- 12 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, October 2 at 2 p.m. from St. John the Evangelist Church, Coley`s Point. Left with fond and loving memories, one daughter Rosalind Bailey, New Brunswick; two sons: Kevin (Brenda), Nova Scotia, Sean (Susan), New Brunswick; five grandchildren; sister Madonna Schwartz, New Hampshire, U.S.A.; two brothers: Philip (Martina), Mount Pearl and John (Gail), St. John`s; very special friend Bill; also a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. YABSLEY, Doris Emma (nee Stick) - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the Agnes Pratt Home on Sunday, September 30th, 2001, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Reginald in 1960. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons: Reginald and wife Shirley (nee Bingham) of Halifax, Richard and wife Paula (nee Rogers) of St. John`s; seven grandchildren: Susan and Andrew of Halifax, Bart and wife Nancy Compton and Jennifer of Toronto, Peter, Paige, Jillian and husband Chris Young, all of St. John`s; two great-grandchildren: Meghan and Erin of Toronto; also leaving to mourn one sister Lillian Warmen of Burnaby, B.C.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special and sincerest thank you to the very caring staff of the Agnes Pratt Home during the past three years. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday from 12 noon- 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at 2 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the General Protestant cemetery, Old Topsail Road. Left with cherished memories are his children: Isabel Hawco-Bursey (Field), St. John`s; Betty Iwanonkiw (Peter), ON; Doreen Conway (Dick), Conception Hr.; Tony (Judy), AB; Ron (Michelle), ON; Gordon (Sue), ON; Theresa Goldsworthy (Randy), NS; Matthew, AB; his 17 grandchildren and four precious great-grandchildren, his brother Andy (Mary), St. John`s, his sister Betty Murray, St. John`s, three sisters-in-law Teresa James, Clarke`s Beach; Joy Walsh, St. John`s; Florentine Walsh, Goulds. Also a circle of other relatives and friends especially the residents and staff of Kennedy`s Riverside Manor. Resting at Dunphy`s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2003, following 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. Interment will be in the family plot at Assumption cemetery, Avondale. BUTLER, Mary Anne - 79, of Glace Bay, died at home Friday, September 28, 2001. Born at St. John`s, NF, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (Croake) and John Butler. She was employed for 37 years as a postal clerk in St. John`s main post office. She moved to Glace Bay in 1982. Mary is survived by brother, Jack (Lois), Ottawa, and by members of her chosen family, Cleo (Lokie) Robinson, Peter, Rita and Justin MacInnis, with whom she resided these past six years. She is also survived by nephews, David, Brian, Gerry and Dr. John Spencer, David Butler, Rodney and Billy Boucher; nieces, Patricia and Michelle Butler; special sister-in-law Lisette Butler and special brother-in-law, Bill Boucher. She was predeceased by brothers: Patrick, Bernard, Gerald and Dermotte; sisters: Emma Butler, Kay Spencer and Margaret Boucher. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated October 1 in St. Anthony`s Church with Rev. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to palliative care or the VON. 'Mary, you were a gift sent to us when we needed you most. We loved you dearly and will miss you forever.'

REES, Wilberforce Stirling (Bill) - Passed peacefully away at Allison`s Manor, Manuels, on September 11th, 1999, Wilberforce Stirling Rees, in his 95th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy; his sister Ethel; his brothers: Alfred, George and Brian. Leaving to mourn his loss are niece Pauline Pike, Nova Scotia; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7-9 p.m. Sunday; 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday; and 10 a.m. - 12 noon Tuesday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 14th, 1999 from The Anglican Cathedral of St. John The Baptist with interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Rd. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one`s choice.

KRUG, Joseph R. - 70, of Dalton, died Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. Services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel with Fr. Ronald Turek officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church, E. Oak & Lake Sts., Orrville, Ohio 44667 or to Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Carey, Ohio. He was born March 6, 1932 in St. John`s, Newfoundland, Canada to Ernest F. and Margaret M. (Reddy) Krug. He was President of Local 457 AP Green Re-Fractory in Massilon and retired from Clark Ceramics in Dalton where he was an artistic painter. He was a member of St. Agnes Church in Orrville and enjoyed refinishing furniture. Surviving are his loving wife, Yvonne ( Birdsey) Krug, 4 step-children and other relatives and friends in Canada and United States. His parents died previously.
