SCOTT, Jack - passed away peacefully while visiting Topsail, Conception Bay South, on June 21, 2003, age 82 years. Predeceased by his sister, Betty Dackers, and his brothers Ned, George and Ern Scott. Leaving to mourn his wife of 51 years, Joyce; his 6 children: Margaret, Jim (Lynn), Banks, Eleanor, Edward, Beverley (Carl Clarke); 5 grandchildren: Heather, Kara, Mark, Ian and Theodore; 1 great-grandchild, Catherine. He was involved with many community organizations such as Local 512 of his union, I.B.E.W., Royal Canadian Legion, B.P.O. Elks, St. Matthew`s Presbyterian Church, Central West Health Care Board, Kiwanis Music Festival and the Provincial Apprenticeship Board. He loved music. His bass voice was heard in many choirs and performances, most recently in the Men`s and Senior Choirs of Memorial United Church. Resting at Central Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Wishart at the Memorial United Church, Wednesday, June 25 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Presbyterian Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the South and Central Health Foundation Respiratory Fund.

Passed peacefully at the Health Sciences Center, St. John`s, January 27, 2003, age 89 years, 9 months, a resident of the Pearlhouse Seniors` Home, Mount Pearl. Formerly of Stock Cove, Bonavista Bay, she resided at Gander for many years where she was employed at Gander Airport. She leaves to mourn her son Felix and his wife Judy of Mount Pearl, three grandchildren: Carol (Bill), North Carolina, Bridget (Douglas), St. John`s, Brian (Ginette), Gander; three great-grandchildren: Katie-Marie, Brianna and Andrew; one sister Katheleen Aylward, Gander; nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends from a long lifetime as a kind and giving person. GREGOIRE, Walter Raymond - Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, October 19, 2002. Walter Gregoire, originally from Connecticut, served with the American Coast Guard, age 72 years. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Joan (nee Furlong); brother Robert (Bob) and wife Beryl and family, residing in Connecticut; sister-in-law Helen Furlong; brothers-in-law, Denis Furlong and wife Ann; Tom Furlong and wife Pat; special niece Wanda Carter; other family members, Daisy Furlong, Jack Allan, Gerry White; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his friends at Post 9 American Legion.
