Affectionately known by her late father, Walter Kenney, as his ‘lovable renegade,’ Mary Ellen endeavored to create an atmosphere of happiness wherever the world took her. Her spirit and zest for life has left those she touched with fond memories and many reasons to smile. Her generosity was pure. Her loyalty to friends was undying. Hospital in Halifax, she worked as respiratory therapist for two years at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and 10 years at the V.G. where she worked hard to care for her patients with understanding and compassion. She then moved on to Saudi Arabia to continue her work and experience the world – and the world to experience her.
