Lena Angela (Davis) Campbell
67, Dutch Brook
The Death of Lena Angela (Davis) Campbell, 67, of Dutch Brook, formerly of Marion Bridge, occurred the morning of Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Whitney Pier, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry and Mrs. Veronica Davis of Whitney Pier.
She was a member of St. Anthony Daniel Parish. Throughout her precious years she was employed at Buckley’s Drugstore on Charlotte St. Later, she went on to the Little Flower Orphanage looking after children. She also worked at the YMCA for many years as a receptionist. Lena was a Brownie Leader for the 2nd Marion Bridge Brownies Pack during the 1980s.
Surviving are her daughter Lisa Campbell, Scotchtown, N.S., formerly of Dutch Brook and fiance William Gittens, Scotchtown; Albert (Abby) Collins, loving spouse for many, many years of Dutch Brook; her friendly companion Lou-Lou, her precious little dog; one sister, Mary Aucoin, Whitney Pier; one brother Patrick (Patty) Davis, Westmount; two grandchildren, Steven William Edward Campbell, five years and Leah Angela Marie Campbell, 19 months, Scotchtown.
She was predeceased by brothers, Francis, Cyril and Billy; sisters Marie, Margrite and Betty.
She will be missed dearly by many nieces, nephews and cousins who will always remember her. She will be deeply missed by all of the Collins’ families.
Lena will be thought of and missed by many close friends and neighbors.
The late Mrs. Lena Campbell will have a Memorial Service at St. Anthony Daniel Parish, Sydney at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999. Cremation took place Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999.
Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association and / or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Donald G. (Booper) McInnis
54, Billerica, Mass.
Donald G. (Booper) McInnis, 54, husband of Judith Anne (McNeil) McInnis, died Thursday at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Glace Bay, N.S., son of Annie Mae (MacDonald) McInnis of Billerica and the late Donald McInnis, and had been a resident of Medford for many years before moving to Billerica in 1975.
Mr. McInnis had been employed for 35 years as a tractor trailer driver, having worked for Purity Supreme Supermarkets and then Stop and Shop Supermarket prior to his retirement in July 1998. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 25, and was shop steward while at Purity Supreme.
Mr. McInnis was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Tesksbury. He coached in the Billerica Youth Hockey Leagues, and enjoyed golf, baseball and playing hockey.
Besides his wife and mother, Mr. McInnis is survived by two sons, Donald G. McInnis Jr. and William McInnis, both of Billerica; a daughter, Patricia McInnis, Lowell; two brothers, Patrick McInnnis, Hooksett, N.H. and Harvey McInnis, Londonderry, N.H.; two sisters, Ann C. Spengler, Billerica and Madonna Lanzo, Raymond, N.H.; four grandchildren, Kevin, Maxwell, Kailine and Billy and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. with funeral Friday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, Mass. at 8 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Theresa’s Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica, Mass.

Selena Mary O'Halloran
90, Dominion
Selena Mary O’Halloran, 90, of 115 Neville St., Dominion and formerly of New York, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.
Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (MacEachern) Bennett. Selena was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport.
She was a surgical technician at Mt. Sanai Hospital and Flower Hospital in New York for several years.
She is survived by brother, Tommy, British Columbia; sisters, Clara (with whom she resided), Dominion and Rita, Hamilton, Ont. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William in 1991 and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation for the late Selena O’Halloran will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999 in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 15, 1999 at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport with Fr. Jim Oliver officiating.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Donations in Selena’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul are suggested as an expression of sympathy.
Gordon Francis Warburton
80, New Waterford
Gordon Francis Warburton, 80, of 473 Smith St. and formerly of Wilson Avenue and Catherine Street, New Waterford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Gardiner Mines, he was the son of the late John James and Veronica (Petrie) Warburton.
Gordon was member of Saint James Parish, Gardiner Mines and later a member of Saint Michael’s Parish, River Ryan. He attended school in Gardiner Mines.
During his early married life, Gordon was owner and operator of the New Waterford Bus Company, Shell Service Station, bus driver for the Cape Breton District School Board, and was employed at L.C.B.O. in Toronto, Ont. and for the past number of years proprietor of Midway Taxi in New Waterford.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Regina (MacLeod); sons, Gordon Jr. (Sadie), Gary (Reggie), Richard, Eddie (Colleen), Brian (Margie), Todd (Lori), all of New Waterford and Jimmy, Mississauga, Ont.; daughters, Lucille (the late Bernie Muise), Veronica Stubbert, Donna Kelly (Austin) and a sister, Rita MacGillivray, Bridgeport. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, infant son, Louis Richard, sisters, Beatrice, Ethel, Margaret Hill, Gardiner Mines, Agnes Ulrich, Angus, Ont., brother, James and stepmother, Margaret (MacKenzie) Warburton.
Gordon was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an animal lover and will be sadly missed by his adoring companion “Lady.”
Visitation for the late Gordon Warburton will be held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Funeral mass will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, River Ryan. Burial will be in Saint James’ Cemetery, Gardiner Mines.

Annie Mae Clark
83, Dartmouth
Annie Mae (Jennings) Clark, 83, of Dartmouth, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born and raised in Sydney, she was the daughter of Blanche Rutherford and Alfred Jennings. Annie graduated from City of Sydney Hospital School of Nursing in 1938, nursing in the Halifax / Dartmouth area for 30 years.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Beverley Clark. A kind devoted mother to Bev (Linda); daughters, Iris Eindiguer, Montreal, Brenda Cody, Annapolis Royal. Lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mrs. Winnifred Townsend, Halifax and Mrs. Olive Ryan, California; brothers, Francis and Fred, both of Sydney.
Burial has taken place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
John H. Huntley
56, Dartmouth
John H. Huntley, 56, of Dartmouth, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Truro, he was a son of Marion (nee Spicer) Huntley of Harbourville and the late Hazen Huntley.
He was a teacher for over 34 years, and was a very active member of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union, he served on various local and provincial union committees. He served in various executive positions with the Halifax County Local, NSTU, including that of past-president. He served two terms as executive staff officer of NSTU.
He is survived by his wife, Anne White, a son, Andrew Huntley, Halifax; stepchildren, Jocelyn, Jamie, Jeffrey and Julie White; a sister, Jean Huntley-Maynard, Harbourville.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 p.m. Saturday in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn United Church, Dartmouth, a reception will immediately follow in the church hall hosted by the Nova Scotia Teachers Union.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Marion Grace Seymour
70, Neils Harbour
Marion Grace Seymour, 70, of Neils Harbour entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Buchanan Memorial Health Center, Neils Harbour.
Born at Neils Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Allice (Strickland) Williams. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Neils Harbour and also she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch No. 85 Royal Canadian Legion.
She is survived by two daughters, Irma (Mrs. Beaton MacDougall), Lake Vale, Antigonish and Janice (Mrs. Richard Gwinn), Aspy Bay; one son, Roddie (Ivy), Neils Harbour; several sisters and brothers and five grandchildren, Brian and Corine Seymour, Matthew Gwinn, Colin and Megan MacDougall.
Predeceased by her husband, Freeman in 1998 and by several sisters and brothers.
The late Mrs. Seymour will have visitation today (Friday) from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in All Souls Chapel, Neils Harbour. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Neils Harbour with Rev. Chris MacCann officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buchanan Memorial Health Center, Neils Harbour.
