Martha (LeMoine) Campbell
66, Main-a-Dieu
Martha Campbell (LeMoine), 66, of Main-A-Dieu passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Johnie and Annie Burke (LeMoine).
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Main-A-Dieu.
She is survived by her loving husband Thomas (Bud) Campbell; daughters, Donna (Gary Kennedy) and Brenda (Glen Kennedy) of Catalone; sons, Wayne (Laurie), Louisbourg, Wallace (Theresa), Main-A-Dieu; brother, Montford (Tootise) Louisbourg; ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by brothers, George and Henrey and a sister Harriet Jane.
Visitation was held Sunday Feb. 11, 2001, at 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Main-A-Dieu. Funeral Service will be held on Monday 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Main-A-Dieu with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of W.A. Chant Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Fund.
Mary Pamela Tucker
44, Ontario / Glace Bay, N.S.
Pamela (Dort) Tucker at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at the age of 44 years.
Beloved wife of Cecil Tucker. Cherished daughter of George and Teresa Dort of Glace Bay and sister of John Dort of Toronto. Dear daughter-in-law of May Tucker of Glace Bay. Sister-in-law of Terrance (Barbara) Tucker of Guelph, Lloyd (Lorna) Tucker of Toronto, Georgina (Gordon) Granchelli of Sydney and Thelma (Clarence) Peach of Glace Bay. Beloved niece of John (Margaret) MacAulay of Glace Bay and Virginia (Robert) Grady of Hamilton, Ont. Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Gilchrist Chapel - McIntyre and Wilkie Funeral Home, Delhi St., Guelph from 3-5 p.m. Saturday.
Visitation for the late Mary Pamela Tucker will be held Monday from 7-9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church with Fr. John Graham officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mary Jane Morrison
Needham, Maine
On Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, Mary J. Morrison, passed away at the Wingate Nursing Home, Needham, Me., in her 95th year.
She was the daughter of the late George Morrison and Mary (MacInnis) Morrison, Framboise, Richmond County.
Mary Jane is survived by her sister, Rhoda (Hector) MacAulay, Sydney, N.S., and brother, Murdoch (Gertrude) Morrison, Thunder Bay, Ont.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Angus and John and by sisters, Jessie and Lena.
Mary Jane went to the Boston area in 1924 and returned to visit with her family every summer, thereafter. She was a member and former Elder of the Needham Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of the Boston Gaelic Society.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, in the Needham Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in Framboise at a later date, under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel.
Lucien Primeau
1918-2001
Lucien Primeau, 82, of New Maryland and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at the Dr. Everet Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton.
Born Aug. 25, 1918 in Montreal, Que., he was the son of the late Louis Primeau and the late Maria Payette.
During the Second World War, Lucien was stationed in Atlantic Canada and served his country with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a supervisor with the Department of Finance with Transport Canada in Moncton prior to taking his retirement. Lucien was a founding member and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council Louis Hebert No. 6468, a founding member and former director of la Caisse Populaire Notre-Dame-de-Grace, a founding member of the Louis Hebert Club and a former member of the Parkton Golden Age Club, all of Moncton.
Lucien will be sadly missed by his daughter, Cecile Cormier (Robert), New Maryland; three sons, Robert (Eliane), Shediac, Louis (Catherine), North Sydney, N.S., Maurice (Gisèle), Moncton; seven grandchildren, Marc, Denis, Daniel, Josée, Richard, Lisa, Sylvie and by a great-grandchild, Cassidy.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Lina (Hébert) Primeau in 1996; two sisters, Simone and Gabrielle, three brothers, Gérard, Armand and Alexandre and by his stepfather, Georges Pelletier.
Visitation was held at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001 at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Moncton. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Melanie Louise MacInnis
85, Inverness.
Melanie Louise MacInnis, 85, of Inverness, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital.
Born in Inverness, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Leonie Vandenbroeck.
She was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness. Melanie was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind and generous lady by all who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Melanie C. (David Nearing), Ottawa, Ont.; four sons, Col. Lou MacInnis (Ret.) (Kelly), North Bay, Ont., Maj.-Gen. John Arch MacInnis (Ret.) (Barb), Ottawa, Ont., Gary MacInnis (Hilary), Inverness, N.S., Lorne MacInnis (Elizabeth), Inverness, N.S.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Neil, three brothers, Victor, George and Jeff.
The late Mrs. MacInnis will rest at the Inverness Funeral Home with visitation today (Friday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, with Rev. J.J. MacDonald officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.

Irene Yvonne MacLean
55, Washabuck
Irene Yvonne MacLean, 55, of Washabuck, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Washabuck, she was the daughter of Irene (D’Eon) and the late James Andrew MacLean.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Mission, Washabuck and St. Croix Parish, Pomquet.
Given her great love of animals, Yvonne was often surrounded by pets, especially her beloved cats. Equally important to Yvonne was her love of playing cards. She not only exercised her skill in Washabuck, Iona, MacKinnon’s Harbour and Pomquet, she also spent countless hours tutoring her nieces and nephews in the fine art of hockey, war, crazy eights, casino, scat, etc.
She is survived by brothers, James (Debbie) and Joey (Gwen), both of Bras d’Or, Tony (Pat), Baddeck, Louis (Sharon), Edmonton; sisters, Annette (Francis), Pomquet, Louise (Wayne) Hazeldale, Loretta (Dave), Fox Creek, Alta.; special Godchild, Scott MacLean, Edmonton; and many nieces and nephews.
Her father, James Andrew, predeceased her.
The late Miss MacLean will rest in St. Croix Church, Pomquet, today with visitation from 6:30-9 p.m. The remains will then be moved to Holy Rosary Church, Washabuck, Wednesday, with visitation from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Columba Church, Iona, Rev. Fred Morley officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Washabuck.
Donations may be made to the Holy Rosary Cemetery Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
