Dies at Framboise

Mrs. Sarah Ferguson passed away at the home of her daughter at Framboise on Saturday, July 5, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Ferguson was one of our oldest residents, being about 90 years of age.
She was a most estimable and lovable character, and was confined to her bed for the past nine years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Macleod, Framboise, with whom she resided, Mrs. Monroe, Mrs. Foster, Boston, four sons, Norman residing on the old homestead at St. Esprit, Neil Alexander, Sterling and D. A. Boston, also one sister, Mrs. McCuist, Ferguson's Lake, all of whom were with her during her last illness, excepting D.A.
Mrs. J.T. Collins
Dead in Newport July 26, 1930 The Halifax Herald
A telegram received by Mrs. M. J. T. Macneil, 22 Edward St., announces the death of her sister, Mrs. J. T. Collins at her home in Newport, Rhode Island, last Monday.
The deceased was the daughter of the late G. H. Bissett, of River Bourgeois, where she was born fifty-seven years ago.
Known to her friends as Amy Bissett, she was exceedingly popular and the news of her death will be received with regret.
She was a graduate of St. Bernard's Convent, Antigonish.
A sister, Mrs. M. Durand, 554 Robie St., had just reached home from visiting her when the telegram was received carrying the news of her death.
Burial took place at Newport Wednesday.
Rev. Peter D. MacIntosh

Dundee, March 25 - The sudden death of Rev. Peter D. MacIntosh took place in New Jersey on Sunday, March 22nd.
Mr. MacIntosh was in his 70th year and was a native of Cape Breton, born at St. George's Channel, he was a brother of Mrs. Flora MacInnes of that place, who survives as does one brother, George MacIntosh of Massachusetts.
His remains will be brought to St. George's Channel for burial.
Alexander Fougere

Alexander Fougere, 89, died at his home in Petit de Grat.
He is survived by five daughters, Mary (Mrs. Narcisse Marchand), Martha (Mrs. Andrew Goydtche), Mathilda and Evelyn, all of Petit De Grat, and Mrs. Clara Robertson, Ontario; three sons, Leo and Godfrey, Petit De Grat, and Simon, Halifax; also a number of grandchildren.
The funeral was held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Petit De Grat.
Rev. Father John MacDonald celebrated requiem mass officiated at the grave.
Mrs. John A. MacDermid
Dies at Beinn Bhreagh

Baddeck, July 15 - The funeral service of Mrs. John A. MacDermid, of Beinn Bhreagh, who passed away on Wednesday morning last, was held at the late home on Friday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. John MacKinnon, of Greenwood United Church.
The deceased, who was in her 53rd year, suffered a paralytic stroke last winter from which she failed to recover.
Mrs. MacDermid was formerly a Miss Morrison, from Baddeck Bay, and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Morrison.
Besides her husband two daughters and one son survive, viz., Ethel, student nurse at the Hamilton Hospital, North Sydney, who tenderly cared for her mother in her long illness: Marion and Kenneth at home.
Two sisters and one brother also survive _ Mrs. Angus MacCharles of Sydney; Mrs. Philip MacRae, of Beinn Bhreagh; and Murdoch Morrison, of California.
The six pall bearers were all neighbours of the deceased.
Interment was in Highland cemetery at Baddeck Bay.
Malcolm Angus Smith

Died Oct. 22, 1963, Age 52 at death of heart attack near the end of his route as mail driver from Bras d'Or to Ingonish for 30 years.
He suffered as seizure in his car which went off the shoulder of the road.
A native of Indian Brook. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Smith. Member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas MacAuley, and Sophie Smith, Boston; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Olson, Boston; a brother, Alex, Wreck Cove.
