Oh listen to the sound of the sea That breaks off the distant shoals, Oh listen to the sound of the sea Along with my father and me. And if you should ever think of him Then turn your face to the sea, For that is where his heart will be free, A heart that beats no more for me. So listen well and listen long, And know that he is not alone, For he sails along with you now As he sailed with you then. Listen to the sound of the sea As it beckons to him now, Listen to the sound of the sea And know that is where he wants to be. Oh listen to that great sea Along with my father and me.
