TERRY D. VEINOT H
Terry Don Veinot of Lake Pleasant, Annapolis County died Wednesday, Aug. 01, 1979 at home at the age of 84. born in the Ninevah, he was the son of the late Joseph and Minna (Hirtle) Veinot. He was retired from the Mersey Paper Company. Surviving are his wife, the former Rachel Smith; five daughters; Ruth (Mrs. Russell Conrad) Springfield;Inez (Mrs. Lewis Notarangelo) Falkland Ridge; Anetta (Mrs. LeMont Zinck) and Vivian (Mrs. Laurie Charlton) both of Lake Pleasant; Beryl (Mrs. Gordon Deal) Meiseners Section; two sons: Rollen, New Germany, Terry, Monastry; a sister Beryl, (Mrs. Stanley Jay) Reynoldsburg Ohio; and two brothers, Nelson and Lloyd; twenty grandchildren and twenty - six great grandchildren . He was predeceased by four brothers; Everett, Melford, Oran and Lawrence.
The Funeral service was conducted at the Springfield Baptist Church where great granddaughter Robin Hawksworth assisted in the closing of the casket before the mourners entered the Church. The Casket was covered by a blanket of flowers from wife and family.
Service was conducted by Re. Peter Stinson, with the Springfield Baptist Choir; Mrs. Dorothy Mason organist. Interment in Springfield Cemetery. The pallbearers were six of his grandsons.
Donations were to Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield Cemetery; or Springfield Fire Dept. Donation and sympathy cards were too numerous to list individually.

Harry St. Clair Veinotte, 85, of Mahone Bay, passed away Saturday (27 Jun 1987) in Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Mahone Bay, he was the son of the late Alexander and Lavinia (Nowe) Veinotte. He was a powerhouse operator in numerous locations throughout the province, with the N.S. Light & Power Corportation. In later years, he was a meter reader for the town of Mahone Bay. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 49, Mahone Bay, and United Baptist Church, Mahone Bay. He is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Cornelius, a sister Belle (Mrs. Allen Craig), Saint John, N.B. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marie, Blanche. Beulah; two brothers Gordon, and Bertten. The body was cremated. a memorial service took place at United Baptist Church, Mahone Bay. The Rev. Dale Rose officiated. Burial of ashes will be at Parks Cemetery, Mahone Bay, at a later date.

Alice Oxner
There passed away at her home at Newtown on Friday, Alice wife of Mr. Wallace F. Oxner. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss a daughter Ruby and two sons. The funeral, which was held from her late residence on Sunday afternoon, was conducted by the Rev. Alexander Allen of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of which the deceased was a member. Many beautiful floral offerings showed the sympathy of friends and relatives.

Carl Vernon Whynot, 54, died at his home.
Born in Springfield, he was a son of the late James and Alice (Nass) Whynot, He was an employee of Kirk's Christmas Tree Co.
Surviving, besides his wife the former Winnie Veinot are three daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. Richard O'Neil), New Albany; Leona (Mrs. Harold Stoddard); Inglisville, Doris at home, two sons James and Robert at home, 12 grandchildren, three brothers, Arthur, Wolfville, Stedman, Springfield, Clarence, Halifax, two sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Roy Balcom) Nictaux, Pauline (Mrs. Arthur Rent) Dartmouth.
The body is at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday in Springfield Baptist Church. Rev. Robert E Baker officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.
Donation may be made to Springfield Baptist Church.

WHYNOT, Steadman Witfield - 83, Springfield, Annapolis Co., died April 23, 1995, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Conquerall Bank, he was a son of the late James W. and Alice (Nauss) Whynot. Prior to retirement, he worked as a woodsman for various companies. Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred McDow; daughters, Alice (Mrs. Wallace Smicer), Maitland, Lunenburg Co.; Elsie (Mrs. Garnet Ruggles), Inglisville, Annapolis Co.; Anne (Mrs. Ross Burgoyne), Cherryfield; sons, David, Miseners Section; Kenneth, Dutton, Ont.; sister, Pauline (Mrs. Arthur Rent), Dartmouth; brother, Clarence, Bridgewater; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce; sister, Bertha; brothers, Arthur, James, Carl. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in New Germany Funeral Home, 4895 Rte. 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield United Baptist Church, Rev. Brian Wheaton officiating. Burial in church cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations to Springfield United Baptist Church or any charity.

ROBAR, Gladys - 94, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., formerly of Newburne, died March 5, 1997, in Rosedale Home, New Germany. Born in Newburne, she was a daughter of the late Zachariah and Isobel (Ramey) Veinotte. Surviving are daughter, Mary Bennett, Newburne; a granddaughter; four great-grandsons; a great-great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Randall; an infant son; sisters, Bessie, Edna, Annie, Lucy, Winnie; brothers, Titus, Judson, Hosea, one in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Church in the Pines, Newburne, Pastor Carmen Webb and Pastor Stephen Wade officiating. Burial in Upper Cornwall Cemetery. Donations to Pentecostal Church in the Pines or any charity.

WHYNOT, Clarence M. - 91, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2008, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Springfield, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Wallace and Alice (Nauss) Whynot. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the Royal Canadian Army from 1942 to 1945 in Holland, Belgium, France and Germany. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former V. Beatrice Wilneff; brothers, James, Arthur, Steadman, Carl; sisters, Bertha and Pauline. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1-2 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

EMENEAU, Hector Orlando - 83, Meadowvale, passed away Friday, February 16, 2007, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Lake Pleasant, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Acker) Emeneau. He was a woodsman most of his life and a former employee at Allen's Mill. Hector enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by long-time companion, Marjorie Labrador, Meadowvale, and stepdaughter, Kathy Wade; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Kathleen, Flora, Eva, Esther and Alma; brothers, Arnold, Edmond, Ray, Clifford and Aubrey. Visitation was held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, February 18, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today, Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Nictaux Cemetery. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.

Arnold Emeneau
Arnold Emeneau, 81, Pereau, Kings County died Saturday Dec 17, 1988 in Palmeter's Nursing Home, Kentville. Born in Lake Pleasant, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Acker) Emeneau. He was a woodsman all his life in Lake Pleasant area. He had lived for several years in the Annapolis Valley. He is survived by a brother, Hector, Torbrook, Annapolis County, sister Kathleen Bayer, Greenwood. He was predeceased by four brothers, Edmund, Clifford, Ray and Aubrey, four sisters, Alma, Eva, Hester and Plora.
The body rested in H.C.Lindsay Memorial Chapel. The funeral was held Dec 20 in Springfield Baptist Church, Rev. David Keith officiating with burial in the church cemetery, Springfield.
Donation may be made to any charity

BAYERS, Kathleen R. - 87, Kentville and formerly of Lunenburg County, died on Saturday, November 19, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Ohio, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Acker) Emeneau. She was a former member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and an adherent of the Anglican Church. Kathleen is survived by her sons, Osborne MacDow, New Ross; Harold (Rosalie) MacDow, Chester Basin; Wane (Linda) MacDow, Ottawa, Ont.; brother, Hector Emeneau, Nictaux, Annapolis Co.; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred MacDow; second husband, Elvin Joudrey; third husband, Clarence Bayers; eldest son, Lester; daughter-in-law, Patricia MacDow; brothers, Aubrey, Clifford, Raymond, Arnold, and Edmund; sisters, Alma and Hester. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, in St. John's Anglican Church, Chester Basin with Archdeacon Duanne Tanswell officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Anglican Cemetery (new), Borgald's Point Road, Chester Basin. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davis Funeral Home.

FOLEY, Helen Dorothy - 87, Dartmouth, formerly of Victoria Beach, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Clementsport, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Effie (Ring) Boudreau. She loved to watch game shows, read, play bingo, go sight seeing, and quilt making. She used to find four, five, six and seven leaf clovers and had quite the collection. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Joyce), Kentville; Richard (Verna), Victoria Beach; daughter, Rose Deveau (Albert), Porter's Lake; adopted children, Frank (Tammy), Greywood, and Laurie Miller (Steven), Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. She was the grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 13; sister of Chester Boudreau, Windsor; Thelma Perry, Barton, Digby Co., and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; son, Ronald; brother, Fred Boudreau, and sisters, Hilda Darres and Edna Weir. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August 19, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the chapel, Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Interment in Victoria Beach Cemetery - Garden of Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Beach Cemetery.

ELLIOTT, Frances "Ann" — 48, Digby, formerly of Tiverton, N.S., passed away tragically Saturday, December 26, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Middleton, she was the biological daughter of Alice (Stoddart) Dahr, New Minas and the late Frank Veinot. Ann was a member of the Tiverton United Baptist Church, past Sunday School teacher and a past member of Sunrise Rebekka Lodge, Tiverton. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed pogo. Ann dearly loved her family, especially her granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Sonya (Jason) Frost, New Edinburgh, N.S.; son, Derek (Alicia Lunn), Wolfville; and their father, Marty Elliott, Tiverton; granddaughter, Ashlynn Dawn Ann Frost; parents, Bonnie and Albert Johnson, Middleton; sisters, Doris (Cecil) Millett, New Minas; Laurie (Steve) Miller, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; Susan (Tim) Lewis, Brampton, Ont.; Jean Labrador, Kitchener, Ont.; brothers, Frank (Tammy) Foley, Maitland Bridge; Ernest Bennett, Annapolis Royal; and Ralph Bennett, Middleton; sister, Louise Lyons, Fredericton, N.B.; brothers, Glenn Johnson (Carrie Langill), Kingston and Jim (Jennifer) Johnson, Middleton; mother and father in-law, Shirley and Norma Elliott, Tiverton; brother-in-law, Alex (Robbin) Elliott, Tiverton; special nieces, Keighley and Jensen and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, in Tiverton United Baptist Church, Rev. Rick Small officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Tiverton United Baptist Church.
