William B. Feindel, Sr. age 105, a former resident of Wakefield, passed away March1, 1977, in Symmes Hospital, Arlington.
Born in Midville Branch, Nova Scotia, on August 15, 1871, he was a son of J. Albert and Josephine W. (MacKay) Feindel.
He came to Wakefield in 1884 and resided there until 1960, when he moved to Lexington.A wheelwright and carriage-smith by trade, he, in partner with the late Steohen J, Wannamaker, conducted a wagon-building and blacksmith shop in Wakefield Junction.
After his partner's death, Mr. Feindel carried on the business alone until his retirement in 1951 after 61 years in the business.
Mr. Feindel was the sole surviving member of Camp 39, United Spanish War Veternas; the Veterans' organization of old "Company A, Sixth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry in the war with Spain in 1898. He and his brother, the late Henry A. Feindel, saw active service in the Puerto Rican campaign. They were both charter members of Wakefield Post 2106, Veterans of Foreign Wars.In May, 1976, VFW Post 2106 honored Mr. Feindel during a special program, after learning that the post had the honor of having him as the oldest living veteran in the United States.He was the husband of the late Mytrie (Cooper) Feindel.
Mr. Feindel is survived by a son, William B. Feindel, Jr. of Atkinson, N.H.; a daughter, Caroline T. Feindel, with whom he made his home in Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Grant W. (Dorothy) Brown of Wakefield; and Mrs. Duncan (Laura) MacLennon of Wilton, N.H.; two grandchildren, William B. Feindel III of North Reading and James H. Feindel of Nashua, N.H.; and two great grandchildren, William B. Feindel IV and Kimberly J. Feindel, both of North Reading. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral home, 13 Yale Avenue, Wakefield, with the Rev. Francis E. Potter of Lexington officiating.
Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

Mrs. Hattie May Veinotte passed away at her home in Dalhousie East on November 28th, 1960. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Feindel who have both passed on. Surviving are brothers Angus, Leo and Orbin. Sisters Ethel (Mrs. Kaizer); Ellen (Mrs. Sweet) and Mabel (Mrs. Veinotte). Mrs. Veinotte was twice married. Surviving are Eldon; Merna (Mrs. Dimock Veinotte); Wilma (Mrs. Albert Robar); Elsie (Mrs. Alonzo Daniels). From the second union are Harold, Hyman, Lloyd, Cecil and Owen. Daughters, Violet (Mrs. Ernie Meldrum); Gladys (Mrs. Weagle); Ernestine; Daphne (Mrs. Allison Tupper); Audrey (Mrs. Lemuel Lohnes); Alma (Mrs. Ralph Bezanson). Funeral service was held from the St. Cyprans Anglican Church on November 30th. Rev. John Mitchell officiated. Pall bearers were Guy Fancy, Emmerson Lowe, Marcus and Ivan Crossland. The wealth of beautiful flowers told in a silent way how much she was loved by family and friends. Her steady cheerfulness and smile will long be remembered by her friends. She spent all her life in service to others.

The death of Stuart Veinott, who had been ill for a year, occurred at his home here Monday morning at the age of 56.
He is survived by his wife, who before her marriage was Hattie (Feindel) Acker; his sons, Harold, Cecil, Lyman, Owen and Lloyd; an adopted son, Murray, at present at Yarmouth Military Camp; one step-son, Eldon; his daughters, (Violet) Mrs. Meldrum; (Alma) Mrs. Bezanson; (Gladys )Mrs. Ken Weagle, Ernestine, Daphne, and Audrey, at home; three step-daughters, namely Mrs. Guy Robar (Merna); Mrs. Albert Robar (Wilma); and Mrs. Lonnie Daniels (Elsie).
The funeral was held on Wednesday at the Anglican Church, Rev. P.G. Corbin officiating. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

VEINOTTE, Cecil Edgar — 87, Fac­torydale, Kings Co., passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Born in East Dalhousie on March 2, 1923, he was a son of the late Stewart and Hat­tie (Fiendel) Veinotte. Cecil was a vet­eran of the Second World War and was previously employed at Howard’s Ser­vice Centre, Wayne Morse’s Mill, for Winston Lohnes and Lake Paul Pulp and Logging. Cecil is survived by chil­dren, Rex (Darlene), Black Rock; Har­vey (Darlene), North River Road; Wanda (Skip) Bowlby, Kingston; Ann (David) Hiltz, Aylesford; Don (Marga­ret), Somerset; Joy (Emerson) Vei­notte, Factorydale; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren who held a spe­cial place in his heart; sister, Audrey (Lemuel Lohnes), New Germany; sev­eral nieces and nephews. Cecil will be missed by his four-legged companion, Lady. Besides his parents, he was pre­deceased by his wife of 65 years, Nina M. (Joudrey) Veinotte; children, Law­rence, Ruby Ann and Milton; grand­daughters, Dorothy and Kimberley Veinotte; brothers, Harold, Owen, Lloyd and Lyman; sisters, Ernestine Veinotte, Violet Meldrum, Gladys Weagle, Alma Bezanson, Daphne Tup­per, Elsie Daniels; half-brothers, Eldie Acker and Murray Veinotte; half-sis­ters, Myrna Veinotte and Wilma Ro­bar. Visitation for Cecil will take place 7-9 p.m. today, Thursday, in H.C. Lind­say Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, NS B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900), from where the funer­al service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 1, Pastor Tim Bigelow offi­ciating, with interment in East Dal­housie United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only, dona­tions in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Program of Anna­polis Valley Health.

Owen Mark Veinotte
Middleton -- Owen Mark Veinotte, 56, of Middleton died Saturday, April 7, 1984 in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton.
Born in East Dalhousie, he was a son of the late Stuart and Hattie (Fiendel) Veinotte. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Acker, three daughters, Nancy (Mrs. Richard Milner), Princedale; Nora and Karen, both at home;two sons, Stuart, Terrace, B.C.; Mark, Middleton; five sisters, Mrs. Gladys Weagle, Halifax; Alma (Mrs. Ralph Bezanson), Kingston; Daphne (Mrs. Allison Tupper), Aylesford; Wilma (Mrs. Albert Robar), Lake Paul; Audrey (Mrs. Lemuel Lohnes), New Germany; four brothers, Lyman, Lloyd, both of Kingston; Cecil and Murray, both of Aylesford; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sisters, Violet, Ernestine, Myrna, Elsie and two brothers, Harold and Eldon. The body is in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St.Crypian's Anglican Church, East Dalhousie, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Nova Scotia Lung Association.

Lloyd Sanford Veinotte, 54, of Greenwood died Monday at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, Nova Scotia.
Born Feb. 19, 1930 in east Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Stuart and Hattie (Fiendel) Veinotte.
He is survived by a daughter; Darlene, Greenwood; five sisters; Mrs. Alma Bezanson, Kingston, N.S.; Mrs. Daphne Tupper, Aylesford; Mrs. Audrey Lohnes, New Germany; Mrs. Gladys Weagles, Halifax; Mars Wilma Robar, Lake Paul; three brothers; Lyman, Kingston; Cecil and Murray both of Aylesford and 2 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Dorey; and a brother Owen.
The body is in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday from St. Cyprians Anglican church, East Dalhousie, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating with burial in church cemetery.
Donations may be made to charity of choice.

MILNER, Nancy Elizabeth - 48, of Princedale, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on November 24, 1960, in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of Ruth (Acker) and the late Owen (M) Veinotte. Her daughters, Megan and Juanita Milner; her granddaughter, Autumn Milner-Aldred; her brother, Stuart Veinotte and his wife, Barb Duffy; her buddies, Darlene and Rex Veinotte, were by her side. She enjoyed crafts, reading, genealogy and watching birds. She also enjoyed gardening; especially her roses and lilies. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked at the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre as a Domestic Engineer for the last eight years where she had a partner in crime, Lisa Potter, who she thought the world of. She is survived by her daughters, Megan Milner (Joel Riley), Juanita Milner (Marty Aldred), both of Princedale; son, Michael Dale Jones, of Berwick; stepdaughter, Daphne Bassindale, of Ontario; seven grandchildren and one on the way; three stepgrandchildren; brothers, Scott Arbuckle, of Calgary; Stuart Veinotte (Barb Duffy), of British Columbia; Mark Veinotte (Marlene Crouse), of Nictaux; sisters, Nora Veinotte (Doug Campbell), of Grand Prairie, Alta., and Karen (Byron) Marshall, of Bridgetown, many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her cat, Little Bit and her love bird, Floyd. She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Richard Byron Milner. She (they) will be dearly missed by the many, many family and friends that now have an empty spot in their hearts and lives. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. At Nancy's request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private burial will take place at a later date. We would like to thank everyone at The Lodge That Gives, in Halifax for the care of Mom last year and also thanks to everyone at the QEII, V.G. Site. Donations in Nancy's memory can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Laurie Gordon Veinotte
MIDDLE CORNWALL - Laurie Gordon Veinotte 88 Middle Cornwall, passed away February 10, 1988 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Upper Cornwall, January 7, 1900. He was the son of the late Austin and Alice (Daniels) Veinotte. He was a retired carpenter, farmer and handyman for friend until his death. He was a former employee at the Atlantic Bridge Co. Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. McVay Fibreglass Co, Municipality of Lunenburg and the Department of Highways. He was a member of the New Cornwall United Baptist Church and the Men's Brotherhood. He is survived by four Daughters, Leola (Mrs. Elmer Wentzel)Berwick; Frances (Mrs. Oswald Frank), Newburne; Geneva (Mrs. Stanley Dorey) Somerset; Melba (Mrs. Milton Fancy), Middle Cornwall, six sons, Douglas, Port Williams, Leeland, Berwick, Lawrence, Clarence, Margeson all of Middle Cornwall; Brenton, Upper Cornwall; three sisters, Lola (Mrs. Lawrence Hawley), Massachusetts; Mrs. Bessie Chandler, Milton, Mrs. Lilian Jodrey, Upper Cornwall, two brothers, Lloyd, Upper Cornwall, Ervin, Maitland, 36 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild,
He was predeceased by his wife the former Clover Hallamore, a step daughter, Hattie, a son George, three grandchildren, two sisters, Gertrude and Hazel, two brothers, Lester and Vernon.
The funeral service was held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 13, 1998 at the New Cornwall United Baptist Church, Middle Cornwall with Rev. Dale Rose officiating and Lic. Rose Gaudet assisting.
Hymns sung were, More Love to Thee, and Abide with Me, anthem by the Men's Brotherhood Choir, My Faith Looks Up To Thee.
Pallbearers were six grandsons Kendall, Kevin, Keith, Reggie and Randy Veinotte and Garnet Wentzell. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
