Lamert Ramey - Meisner Section - Lamert Ramey, 65, Meisner Section, Lunenburg County, died Tuesday at home. Born in Newburn, he was the son of the late Norman and Matilda (Nause) Ramey. He was a retired labourer. He is survived by his wife, the former Glenda Morton; four daughters, Marion (Mrs. Lorraine Aulenback), Bridgewater; Margaret, Lower Branch; Mildred (Mrs. George Uhlman), New Germany; Marilyn, at home; one son Norman at home; three grandchildren; two brothers, Earl, Union Square; Russell, New York; two sisters, Beulah (Mrs. Lloyd Wagner), and Venetta (Mrs. Raymond Veinot), both of Livermore Falls, ME. He was predeceased by two brothers, Verron and Gerald; and one sister Geraldine. The body is at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 pm in the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration in Newburn, Rev. Jack Tattrie officiating. Interment will be in Newburn cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, Nellie Marguerite Russell; five sisters, Eleanor (Mrs. Gordon Robar), Eva (Mrs. Leslie Daniels), Beatrice Drew, all of North River; Lona (Mrs. Donald Burgoyne), Cherryfield; June (Mrs. Fred Cloney), McAdam, N.B.; three sons, Burland, Basil, both of Springfield; Foster, North River. He was predeceased by four sisters, Audrey, Marjorie, Shirley, Rose in infancy; three brothers, Bernard, Eugene, Medford in infancy. Cremation has taken place. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hazel Louise Joudrey; first wife, the former Barbara May Gamble; son, Carl; sisters, Dorothy, one in infancy; brother, Everett. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home. Burial at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
Robert G. Silver
Robert G. Silver, a well-known highly respected citizen of this town, passed away recently following an illness of several weeks. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Douglas Silver of Glace Bay and one daughter, Frances, a member of the local staff of the Bank of Montreal. There also survives two sisters, Margaret, wife of Creighton Zinck and Ellen, widow of G. Allen of Worcester, Mass. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the service being conducted by Rev. H.Stanley Bland of Central United Church of which deceased was a faithful member. The members of the Loyal Orange Lodge, with which the deceased was affilated and in which he took a deep interest, attended the funeral in a body. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

OICKLE, Ernest Archibald Kinsman - 91, New Germany, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield, he was a son of the late Archibald and Hattie (Cole) Oickle. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany; a member of IOOF, New Germany, as well as a past and retired employee of Zwicker Bros., Department of Highways, and Naugles Sand and Gravel (in the family of South Shore Ready Mix) as a crusher operator until his retirement. Ernest was fond of all aspects of farm life and especially the animals. He was especially happy to work with and around horses, both on the land or in the woods and enjoyed attending cattle sales with his friends. Surviving are his son, Kevin E.
