Earl A.R. Langille
The sudden death of Earl A.R. Langille, 45, took place in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, on September 21, 1977.
He was the son of Mrs. Harold (Ida M.) Langille and the late A.Harold Langille, Northwest, where he spent his early life.
Following his marriage to Jeanette Zinck, Feltzen South, they resided on York Street, Lunenburg, until going to Calgary three years ago.
A welder by trade, he had been employed by the Lunenburg Foundry and Engineering Limited.
Surviving besides his mother and his wife are three daughters, Peggy, Calgary; Valerie and Jody, at home; brothers, Lomer and Harold Jr., Northwest; Alfred, Bridgewater; sisters, Jean (Mrs.Hugh Knickle), Northwest; and Pauline (Mrs. Lloyd Lillis), Second Peninsula; also a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins who regret his passing.
Funeral service was held in Zion's Lutheran Church, Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Interment was in the Memorial Cemetery there.

VEINOT, Howard Thomas - 95, Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, passed away March 4, 2000, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in The Forties, New Ross, he was a son of the late Enos and Agnes (Corkum) Veinot. After operating his own garage in The Forties in his earlier years, Howard moved to Ontario where he was employed as a mechanic at Ken Helen Motors, Toronto. He returned to Nova Scotia upon retirement. He is survived by daughter, Reta (Courtney) Reeves, New Ross; son, David (Sue) Veinot, Bradford, Ont.; daughter-in-law, Rhoda Veinot, New Ross; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Vera Hiltz; son, Roy; granddaughter, Maureen Lee Reeves; brothers, Joseph, Clarence, Otis, Edward, Wesley, Beecher, Harry, Guy, Frank and Lawrence; sisters, Ella, Amy, Elsie and Roxie. The body rested in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 8. Burial was in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
CORNELIUS, Pearl Anne - 85, Chester, passed away August 29, 2001, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Leopold) Broome. In her younger years she was an avid gardener and grew roses that were admired by many. Pearl loved to travel and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Surviving are daughter, Avis and son-in-law, Cyril Armstrong, Chester; son, Wilbert, St. Catharines, Ont.; grandchildren, Daphne Armstrong, Spryfield; Brenda Crossley, Carol Crossley, Raymond Crossley, all of British Columbia; Glen Crossley, St. Catharines, Ont.; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Hamilton, Dartmouth; Vivian Voiculescu, Roberta Graham, both of Halifax; Ruth Redden, Falmouth; brothers, Alvah Wile, Joseph Wile, Falmouth; Aubry Wile, Martock; Howard, Currys Corner; Theodore, Windsor Forks. She was predeceased by her first husband, Noel L. Crossley, Worcester, Mass.; second husband, Earl "Babe" Cornelius. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, Chester, from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Burial in Baptist Old Burial Ground, Chester. LOHNES, Marion Julia - 82, Lunenburg, died Friday, October 4, 2002, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Hemford, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Fred and Laura (Veinot) Veinot. Marion was a member of Central United Church, Lunenburg and had been a member of the Mary Gormley Unit of the U.C.W. Over the years, Marion had worked at the Bluenose Lodge and the Boscawen Inn, Lunenburg. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Eldon. She was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis and Lula; brothers, Max and Lauren. By request, a private family committal service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any other charity. CARVER, Kenneth Lionel - 93, Western Shore, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, December 23, 2001, in Shoreham Village Nursing Home, Chester. Born in New Canada, he was a son of the late Ozem and Ruby (Carver) Carver. He was a retired employee of the CNR, having worked for 28 years. He will be remembered as a pleasant, proud and easy-going man. Surviving are his daughters, Marguerite (Terrance) Hamm; Mary Swinimar, all of Gold River, sons, Frank (Dorothy) Carver, Spryfield; Earl "Joe", Western Shore; sisters, Myrna Mossman, Center, Mable Sheridan, Paradise; brothers, Maynard (Audrey) Carver, New Germany; Harry Carver, Gardiner (Fern) Carver, all of Bridgewater; Russell (May) Carver, Fredericton; 13 grand- children, 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hattie Swinimar; sister, Clara Baker. No visitation by family request. Private family funeral service will be held in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial will follow in Western Shore Cemetery, Western Shore. Dominoe, Linda Pauline, 85 of Bridgewater, passed away Monday, March 29, 1999 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Baker Settlement, Lunenburg County on March 13, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Eva (Ernst) Veinot, the eldest of her family of 12. She was a long-time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and E.L.W. Bridgewater. Many friends, family and church members will miss her phone calls wishing them a happy birthday or anniversary.
She is survived by a daughter Joyce and husband Cyril Acker, New Germany; and son Glendon and wife Merinda (Silver), Conquerall Mills; two grandsons Kyle Acker, Toronto and Tyson Acker, Ottawa; brother Leo, Vancouver, B.C.; sisters Bernice Fraser, Dayspring; Ellen Stewart, Hebbs Cross; Georgina Veinot, Bridgewater; Marion Uhlman, New Elm and numerous nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by brothers Wallace, Kenneth, Arnold, Aaron and Albert and sister Mary. The funeral service was held Thursday, April 1, 1999 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater at 11 a.m., with Rev. James Slack, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the family plot, Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Vera Constance Veino, 80, Toronto, formerly of New Ross, died Friday, September 18 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late David and Matilda (Keddy) Hiltz. She was a resident of Toronto for the last 30 years, and a member of St. Augustine Anglican Church, The Forties, Lunenburg County. she is survived by two sons, David, Toronto; Roy, New Ross; a daughter Rita (Mrs. Courtney Reeves), Toronto; four grandchildren; five great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Victor. the body was in H. C. Lindsay's Memorial Chapel, New Ross, Funeral was held Wednesday, September 23 in St. Augustine's Anglican Church, The Forties, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Maurice P. Veinotte, 80, of Mahone Bay, Lunenburg County, died Tuesday, January 14, 1986 in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Sweetland, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Wilbert and Martha (Eisenhauer) Veinotte.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay.
He is survived by a daughter, Verona Sorckoff, Calgary; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Zinck, Bayport; and Lena (Mrs. Reginald Slauenwhite), Sweetland; a brother, Ernest, Sweetland; and two grandsons.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Fannie Slauenwhite; a sister, Edna; two brothers, Norman and Elvin.
The body is in Dana L. Sweeny's Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral service will be held Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. George Wawin officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse.
DANIELS, Evelyn Elizabeth - 78, North River, Lunenburg County, died August 18, 1992, at home. Born in North River, she was a daughter of the late Harland and Lalia (Goucher) Acker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River. She is survived by four daughters, Mildred (Mrs. Reginald Daniels), North River; Thelma (Mrs. Ralph McGowan), Kentville; Mary Leggette, Meiseners Section, Lunenburg County; Myrna (Mrs. Harold Durno), Cambridge; three sons, Robert, Northfield; Arnold, Meiseners Section; Ira, Bridgewater; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred Robar; second husband, Archibald Lee Daniels; two sisters, Elda, Dorothy; four brothers, Aseph, Earl, Clyde, Lloyd. Funeral was Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert Robb officiated. Burial was in church cemetery. Joseph Dennis Silver
Joseph Dennis Silver passed away at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Truro, on Wednesday, December 13 after a very short illness. Born at Hemford in April, 1883, he was the son of the late Ephraim and Letitia (Veinot) Silver.
He was twice married, first to the late Ida Veinot of Hemford and resided in Nineveh. Following his 2nd. marriage to the late Grace Eldridge of Mass. (but formerly of Hemford), he moved to Hemford, where he resided until about seven years ago, when he went to Bloomfield, Digby County, and lived with his son, Clement and Mrs.Silver. While enjoying good health he spent his summers at his old homestead in Hemford, where he lived with a stepson, Alfred Eldridge. The last six weeks of his life were spent at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Truro. Of a quiet and genial manner, he was just and upright in character and a good neighbour.
He leaves to mourn his loss, a daughter, Lavalle (Mrs. Harry Waterman), Bloomfield, Digby County; a son, Clement, Bloomfield; a step-daughter, Grace (Mrs. Allan Starkweather), Dover, Mass.; four step-sons, Earl Smith, Saugus, Mass.; Verion, Collingwood Corner; Alfred Eldridge, Hemford; and Nelson Eldridge in the U.S.; a brother, Essie, Hemford; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Silver was a faithful member of Primrose I.O.O.F. Lodge, Hemford for more than thirty years. A service at Langille's Funeral Home, Barss Corner, on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. was conducted by brothers of Primrose Lodge.
Funeral services were held from the Union Church, Hemford, on Saturday afternoon, December 16, with Rev. Alexander MacPherson of the United Church officiating. Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Pallbearers were members of Primrose Lodge, Ronald MacQuarrie, Norman Smith, Simeon Colp, Gerald MacQuarrie, William Colp, and Marcel Emino. Interment was in Hemford Cemetery.

EISENHAUER, Charlotte A. - 88, Halifax, formerly of Walden, Lunenburg County, died March 30, 1993, in Halifax. Born in Dalhousie, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Amelia (Wentzell) Veinotte. She was domestically employed with Dr. and Mrs. Gordon W. Bethune for the past 35 years. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Gene Daniel), Shirley (Mrs. Melbourne Hiltz), both of New Ross; son, Harry, Walden; sister, Mrs. Alice Hiltz, Forties, Lunenburg County; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James Alexander; three sisters, Lorena, Delilah, Elizabeth; two brothers, Kenneth, Harold; granddaughter, Patsy Eisenhauer. The body is in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay, where funeral will be 3 p.m. today, Rev. Carolyn Tomlin officiating. Burial will be in Lower Walden Cemetery. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
