Marguerite Delma Joudrey Zinck
14 Nov 1912 - 16 Sep 1986

Walden - Marguerite Delma Zinck, 73, of Walden, Lunenburg County, died Tuesday in South Shore General Hospital Bridgewater.
Born in Newburne, she was a daughter of the late Allister and Cora (Demone) Joudrey.
She is survived by her husband Samuel; a daughter, Kathleen ( Mrs. Paul Nauss), Newburne; two sons, Stewart, Elmwood, and Allister, Walden; five sisters, Hazel, (Mrs. Laurie Polzin), Mount Uniacke; Jean (Mrs. Eddison Tanner), Lunenburg; Flo ( Mrs. Robert Conrad), First South; Vera ( Mrs. Carl Knock), Rose Bay; Mrs. Ethelyn Zinck, Lillydale; a brother Guy, Sudbury, Ont.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Nelso; three sisters, Minnie, Margaret and Mary and four brothers Percy, William, Thomas and Lawrence.
The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, where the funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. Clyde Slauenwhite officiating. Burial will be in Walden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, or to Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

FINDEL, Ethel Margaret

FINDEL, Ethel Margaret - 83, Oakhill, Lunenburg County, died October 29, 1993, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Baker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Etta (Garber) Veinot. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Mrs. Richard Crouse), Upper LaHave; son, Warren, Oakhill; three sisters, Laura Aulenback, Ontario; Olive Aulenback, Auburndale; Betty (Mrs. Guy Norwood), Baker Settlement; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; sister, Adelia. A private family memorial service will be today in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to South Shore Regional Hospital Foundation or any charity.

WOODWORTH, James Willis

WOODWORTH, James Willis - 98, Bedford, died December 20, 1995, in Fairview Villa, Halifax. Born in Chelsea, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Elias and Ziba (Durling) Woodworth. He lived most of his life in Bedford and was a carpenter by trade. Surviving are sons, Ronald, Bedford; Aubrey, Cambridge, Ont.; Hector, Tantallon; Lester, Dartmouth; daughters, Jennie Langille, Wilmington, Delaware; Betty Butler, Sackville; Joan Lusher, Fall River; brother, Harold, Wileville; sister, Bernice, British Columbia; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen; sons, Lawson in infancy, Harold; daughter, Hazel in infancy; brothers, Percy, Sanford, Dennis; sisters, Minnie, Viola, Hazel, Alma, Jean, Lillian. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, Bedford. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Friday in All Saints Anglican Church, Bedford, Canon Robert Power officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Donations to any charity.

Mrs. Clarence Mosher 1954

Residents of this community were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Clarence Mosher, whose death occurred at her home in New Germany on Tuesday, July 27, following a lingering illness. She was formerly Mary Ellen Silver, only daugher of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Silver of Nineveh, and was 72 years old. Following her marriage to the late Councillor Clarence Mosher, she spent some years in Timmins, Ontario, returning to New Germany 28 years ago, where her husband and son conducted a well-known business. She was highly regarded in the community where she lent assistance to every worthy cause. A faithful member of St. John's Anglican Church, she was active in the work of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of Hawthorn Rebekah Lodge No. 94, I.O.oO.F, being a regular attendant as long as her health permitted. Her husband predeceased her six years ago. Surviving is an only son, Randall D. Mosher; two grandsons, Brewster and Bliss Mosher, all of New Germany; two brothers, Dennis and Essie Silver, both of Hemford. There are three great grandchildren, Wayne, Barry, and Kenneth Mosher.
Funeral services were held from St. John's in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, on Thursday afternoon, July 29, conducted by her rector, Rev. W.R. Martell, and was largely attended. Sisters of Hawthorn Rebekah Lodge attended in a body and conducted the commital service at the grave. Burial was made in the family lot in Lakeside Cemetery. Pall bearers were Roger Varner, Laurie Hamm, Crossfield Bell, and Willis Veinot.

SILVER, Essie
1894-1992

Essie Vance Silver, 98, Hemford, Lunenburg County, died December 1, 1992, at home. Born in Nineveh, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Ephram and Letitia (Veinot) Silver. He was a member of I.O.O.F. Primrose Lodge Hemford. He is survived by a foster son, Norman Smith, Hemford; three foster grandchildren; a niece; a nephew. He was predeceased by sister, Mary Ellen; brother, Dennis. The body is in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Emmanuel Union Church, Hemford, Rev. Grant Walls officiating. Burial will be in Hemford Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Emmanuel Union Church or any charity.

VEINOTTE, Aaron J.

VEINOTTE, Aaron J. - 65, Baker Settlement, Lunenburg County, died September 6, 1993, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Baker Settlement, he was a son of the late Jason and Eva (Ernst) Veinotte. He was a former resident of Hillsview Acres, Middlefield. He is survived by five sisters, Linda Dominoe, Georgina, both of Bridgewater; Bernice Fraser, Dayspring; Ellen Stewart, Hebbs Cross; Marion Uhlman, New Elm; two brothers, Leo, Vancouver; Albert, Baker Settlement. He was predeceased by three brothers, Wallace, Arnold, Kenneth; sister, Mary. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will be in Baker Settlement Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Hillsview Acres or Queens General Hospital.

Zelma Z. Spidell
1887-1969

Zelma Ziporah Spidell passed away at the Dawson Memorial Hospital on September 17th. She was 81 years of age. She was born at Upper Branch December 9th, 1887, a daughter of the late Reuben and Victoria (Langille) Snyder.Surviving are a daughter, Laverna, Mrs. Robert Smith; a son, Walter Spidell, Auburndale; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Arthur Snyder, Upper Branch; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Carpenter, Littleton, New Hampshire; Mrs. Clara Wilson, Hamilton, Ontario; and Mrs. Edna Conrad, Lower Branch and a great number of friends.The funeral service was held on Saturday morning from All Saints Lutheran Church, Midville Branch, conducted by Pastor Norris Heubener. Interment was in Midville Branch Cemetery.
Hymns sung were "Unto The Hills" and "The Lord My Shepherd Is." Pallbearers were six grandsons, Charles, David, and Leone Smith, Laurie, Lee, and Paul Spidell.

Sarah Elizabeth Haines

Friends deeply regretted the passing of Mrs. Stuart J. Haines whose death occurred at her home in New Germany on Thursday, June 12th, following several years of delicate health. On Friday, June 6th, she suffered a stroke from which she never regained consciousness. She had been a resident of New Germany for the past 38 years where she was highly regarded as a good neighbour and friend. Before marriage she had been Sarah Elizabeth Burns and was born at Albany Cross, Annapolis County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Avard Burns. She leaves her husband and foster son, Wilfred Cole of New Germany whom she had cared for from infancy; also two sisters, Roxie, Mrs. Moore of Paradise; and Mrs. I.W. Mailman, Farmington, New Hampshire; and one brother, Leander Burns of Torbrook, Annapolis County. The late Mrs. Haines was a member of the former Presbyterian Church, now the United Church of Canada and a member of the Senior Women's Association of Epworth United Church and was ever ready to contribute to any of its causes. Funeral services were held at her late home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by service at Epworth United Church, with Rev. G.W. Sach, pastor of the church, officiating. Hymns sung were " Lead, Kindly Light" and "Abide With Me."
Pall bearers were E.G. Longley, B.G. Oickle, H.P. Chesley, and Harold Arenburg. Interment at Caledonia. (Dated 1952)"
