Harriet (Hattie) Henrietta Stewart age 82 of Maccan, N.S., passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S.
She was born in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late James and Amanda Hurley.
In her younger years she worked at Maritime Pant Manufacturing Co. in Amherst.
Harriett is survived by her husband Hubert, one brother Roderick Hurley of Maccan and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Leslie Jobb officiating.
Interment will take place in the Maccan Cemetery.

Marjorie Frances " Marge " Cooper

COOPER, Marjorie Frances "Marge", 70, Sackville, passed away September 15, 2007, in Parkstone Enhanced Care. Born in St. John's, N.L., she was a daughter of Ruth (Hussey) and the late Clarence Vincent. She was employed with Canadian Tire for many years in both Bedford and Sackville. Marge enjoyed spending time with her "Bingo Buddies" on Tuesday and Sunday evenings. She loved the outdoors, especially going for walks with her family. Surviving are children, Ginny (Ron) Hodder, Chris (Faye), Mike (Lynne), Brian (Dale), Vicki (Chris) Smith; brothers, Clarence (Eileen), Fred (Chris), Cal (Anita), Bob (Bernadette), Fraser (Eleanor), and Roger (Anna); sisters, Ros Murphy, Gail King, and Lynn (Grant) Shano; grandchildren, Becky (Brad) Wells, Billy Hodder, Ryan Cooper, Alanna Cooper, Stephanie Cooper, Jacob Smith, Victoria Smith. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Bill; sister, Betty. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis By the Lakes Anglican Church, Rev. Mark Kingsbury officiating with private burial to follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Middle Sackville. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Marge may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

Roderick William Hurley, age 72 of Maccan, N.S., passed away on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, N.S.
Born in Maccan, N.S., he was a son of the late James and Amanda (Munroe) Hurley.
Rod was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by nieces, nephews and their families.
Rod was predeceased by his sisters: Hattie, Ethel, Doris, Helen, Emily and Marjorie; brothers: Ronald, Garfield, Lloyd, Shirley and Robert.
His remains are resting in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, with visiting on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m.from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Leslie Jobb officiating.
Interment will take place in the Maccan Cemetery.

Mr. Imre (Jim) Dojcsak
October 16, 1935 - September 13, 2007
Peacefully passed away at St. Peter's Hospital with his wife and soulmate by his side, on September 13, 2007, at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving father of seven children and proud grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Istvan, wife Erzsebet and brother Laszlo, wife Erzsebet, of Hungary. Predeceased by his parents, Imre and Margit. Sadly missed by his unofficial adopted son, Ronnie Lodge and many other friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North, on Monday, September 17th from 2-4 p.m. with a Memorial Service to take place at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Peter's Hospital.
Mr. Norman Francis Patton
August 11, 1920 - September 6, 2007
PATTON, Norman Francis - 87, passed away September 6, 2007, in Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Arthur and Janie (Bassett) Patton. Norman was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He worked at Phinney's in Halifax for over 40 years. Surviving are in-laws, Josephine Patton, Harold and Carolyn Keleher; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by partner, Carolyn E. Keleher; brothers, Arthur and Harold; sister, Marie Descotes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Memorial service to be held on Monday, September 17, at 2 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Norman can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Horst A. Kastel age 74, of Aulac, New Brunswick passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S.
Born in Bruchhausen, Germany he was a son of the late Adolph and Maria Kastel.
He worked as a mechanic for 25 years in Montreal with Midtown Motors. Horst also worked for Fisher Honda in Amherst and retired from Oxford Frozen Foods in 1998.
He is survived by his wife the former Viola White, step daughter Sharron Rampersad of London, ON, two brothers Paul and Hermann (Reta) both of Montreal, sister Erika (Eric) Heinig of Karlsruhe, Germany step grandchildren Charles (Marie-Eve) Rampersad and Catharine Rampersad both of Toronto and several nieces and nephews.
Horst was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst with Deacon Howard Gotell officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
