Dowd, Kathleen Margaret
Born: March 09, 1917
Died: June 06, 2009

passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her residence, Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton in her 93rd year.
Predeceased by her parents, Samuel Scott and the former Sarah Loney, her husband William John (Jack) Dowd (1969) and her sisters Shirley Trott, Isabel Davidson and Emily Scott.
Lovingly remembered by her son Bill Dowd of R.R.# 4 Listowel and her daughter Heather Burgess and her husband Matthew, as well as by grandsons Harry and Zachary Burgess, all of Toronto, and by nieces and nephews.
Kathleen taught at Public Schools in Mornington and Milverton for many years, and was a member of the Retired Teachers Of Ontario and St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton.
A memorial service to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.. Pastor Christopher Beaumont officiating. Interment Greenwood cemetery Milverton.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Hudson, Ron
Born: August 28, 1935
Died: May 07, 2009

passed away suddenly on Thursday May 7, 2009 at his residence in Rostock. He was born 73 years ago in Orillia and was the son of the late Edward & Marjorie (Calverly) Hudson. Beloved husband of Carol (Simmerson) Hudson who he married June 16, 1956. Dear father of George Hudson of Tavistock, Lynn & husband Doug Loveless of Shakespeare, Jackie Hudson of British Columbia and Steve & wife Sharon Hudson of Monkton. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren. Also remembered by son-in-law Marty Hill of California, brother Ralph Hudson of Orillia, brother-in-law James Simmerson of Orillia, sister-in-law Doreen Crowley of Alberta. Ron was predeceased by his daughters Carol Anne Hudson and Valerie Hudson-Hill, sisters-in-law Diane Hudson, Betty & husband Murray Hill and brother-in-law Gerald & wife Daisy Simmerson.
Ron worked at the University of Waterloo as grounds foreman for many years. Ron coached softball in Rostock and minor hockey in Milverton for a number of years. He served in the Canadian Navy during the Korean War.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation to celebrate Ron’s life will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Monday May 11, 2009 from 5-8 p.m.. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Central Perth School Playground, Cystic Fibrosis or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Kuepfer, Ivan
Born: February 15, 1922
Died: April 26, 2009

Peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. He was formerly of Country Meadows, Brunner & Milverton and was born in Mornington Township February 15, 1922, a son of the late Ezra Z. & Lydia (Bender) Kuepfer . Ivan was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank. Ivan was a kind and gentle man who had an everlasting smile for everyone he met. Ivan & Susan had farmed at Peffers until retirement.
Beloved husband of the late Susan (nee Jantzi) Kuepfer who predeceased him January 22, 1994. Loving father of Laurene & Robert Bender of New Hamburg, Beatrice & Frank Marshall-Taylor of London and Elizabeth & Paul Collins of Stratford. Special grandpa of Jay & his wife Sok, James & his wife Nak and Robin & her husband Sean and great-grandpa to Kaylene, Mariah, Lorren, Taylor & Dylan. Dear brother of Lavina & (late David) Jantzi of Milverton, He is remembered by brother-in-law and sisters-in-laws Catherine & (late John) Jantzi, Katie & (late Levi) Kuepfer, Lydia & Simon Albrecht and Dorothy Kipfer. Ivan was predeceased by two daughters Ruth Ann and Esther Marie, his sister Lottie & Rueben Kuepfer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws Sarah & Ed Albrecht, Menno & Elizabeth Jantzi, Tina & Earl Kipfer.
Friends & relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 transfer will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church for the service at 2.00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church or Mennonite Central Committee.

Hiemstra, George
Born: November 07, 1936
Died: April 17, 2009

passed away peacefully at his residence in Milverton on Friday April 17, 2009. George was born 72 years ago in Holland, a son of the late Sietse & Harmke (Luinenberg) Hiemstra. He was employed at Banner Vending in Stratford for over 30 years. George enjoyed gardening and carpentry as his hobbies.
Beloved husband of the late Arlene (Posthumus) Hiemstra who predeceased him December 5, 1994. Loving father of Franklin of Waterloo, Michael & Tammy-Jo of New Hamburg, Christopher of Lindsay, and the late Robert in infancy. Cherished grandpa of Samuel, Sidney & Sebastian. Dear brother of Margaret Van Baaren-Haak & Arie Haak of Shallow Lake, Frank & Anne of Stratford, and Andy & Joyce of Bloomingdale. Also remembered by mother-in-law Jean Posthumus, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2009 at 11:00a.m.. Reception to follow with interment in Mount Pleasant cemetery , Ethel.

Krajaefski, Edna
Born: November 17, 1921
Died: April 10, 2009

passed away on Friday April 10, 2009 at her residence Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. She was born 88 years ago in Milverton and was the daughter of the late Edward & Marietta (Schmidt) Krajaefski.
Dear sister of Helen Kuepfer of Milverton. Missed by her sisters-in-law Patricia Krajaefski of Kitchener, Fern Krajaefski of Brunner and a number nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Edna was predeceased by brothers Harold, Bill, Lloyd, Sanford, Jack & wife Esther and brother-in-law Joe Kuepfer.
Edna was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Milverton.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Monday April 13, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Hutchison officiating. Smith, David L.

Smith, David L. - passed away suddenly on Thursday April 2, 2009. David resided in Thorndale. He was born 58 years ago in Stratford a son of Myra (nee Denstedt) MacLean of Milverton and the late Lloyd Smith.
David is survived by his wife Peggy (Weiler) Smith and sadly missed by his sons Benj, Timmy, Matty & Spencer. Dear son of Myra & her husband Ken MacLean of Milverton. Lovingly remembered by brothers Doug & Kim Smith of RR#2 Wroxeter, Rod & Joanne Smith of Stratford, Perry & Valerie Smith of South Surrey, B.C., Paul & Trish Smith of Monkton. Also remembered by father and mother-in-law Maurice & Patricia Weiler of Kitchener, brothers-in-law John & Vicki Weiler of St. Agatha, Tony Weiler of Kitchener and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Besides his father, David was predeceased by his nephew Gavin Smith.
Friends and relatives may call at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday April 6, 2009 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating. Andrews, Harry

Andrews, Harry - precious infant son of Rebecca (Becky) Andrews. Harry was born a perfect little boy on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Stratford General Hospital and died quietly in his mothers arms only a few hours later. Much loved grandson of Mark & Lorraine Andrews of Poole. Dear nephew of Sean Andrews and Julie Bungay of P.E.I. and cousin to Jacob.

Walters, Laureen
Born: April 08, 1931
Died: February 21, 2009

Went home to be with her Lord Jesus while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Laureen was born in Elma Township 77 years ago, a daughter of the late Christian Steckley and former Barbara Roth.
Beloved wife of the late Howard Walters who predeceased her December 22, 2008. Loving mother of Howard J. & Carol Walters of Kitchener, James & Becky Walters of London, Pete Walters of Whitby, Tony & Sheri Walters of Perth, Vera & Dan Wakutz of Kitchener, Martha Walters of London, Michael Walters of R.R. # 2 Atwood, Mary & Mark Barkey of Orilla. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Cynthia, Zachery, Cole, Ethan, Natania, Woody, Dylan, Deanna, Dustin, Trevor, Kimberly, Elias and Leith. Also remembered by brothers John & Mary Ellen Steckley of Wellesley and Clarence Steckley of Brunner, sister Lydia Steckly of R.R. # 5 Stratford, and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ken & Karin Williamson of Ilderton, Lyla Lockett of Cambridge, Betty Boardman of Kitchener, Michael & Florence Walters of Baden, Donald & Sandra Walters of Kitchener and Shirley Walters of Mount Forest. Laureen was predeceased by a son Joseph in infancy, brother Laverne Steckley, sister Tina Steckley and brothers-in-law & sister-in, Bernard Walters, Iona & Sandy Hagadorn, and Lloyd Lockett.
Laureen was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church. Her life was devoted to helping and caring for others, and serving her Lord.
Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. A funeral to celebrate Laureen’s life will be held at Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.. Pastor James Brown officiating. Interment in Riverdale Mennonite cemetery , Millbank

Haid, John Patrick
Born: March 17, 1963
Died: February 11, 2009

passed away suddenly in Barranquilla, Colombia on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. John resided at R.R. # 4 Listowel and was born 45 years ago in Listowel. He was the son of the late Arthur & Sarah (MacDonald) Haid.
Beloved husband of Jenny Gamboa whom he married December 30, 2007. Dear father of Lucianna. Sadly missed by his brother Jim Haid of Kitchener, sisters Joanne & husband Michael Pare of Whitehorse, Yukon, Jane & husband Brian Finck of Stratford and his nephew Matthew and niece Jillian. Also remembered by his mother-in-law Gladys Rojas, sisters-in-law Delkys, Liliana and Nidya all of Colombia and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John attended the Kitchener-Waterloo Seventh-day Adventist Church.
