Bernice June Gray, age 80, of 90 Greenwood Court, Stratford passed away quietly at home on Monday, December 10, 2007. She was born near Walton, daughter of the late Joseph Hackwell and the former Harriett Reid. Bernice was a R.N. and trained at Stratford General Hospital (Class of 48) where she worked for several years. Beloved wife of the late Donald Gray who predeceased her December 5, 1992. Loving mother of Robert Gray (Wendy), London and Linda Webster (Martin), Halton Hills. Grandmother of Emma Geoffrey, Ashley, Robyn and Jordan. Also survived by a sister Edith Wey (Campbell), Seaforth and nieces and nephew Deborah Wey, Port Colbourne, Dena Kale (Larry), Pennsylvania and Douglas Wey (Heidi), Waterloo. Lorne William Ehgoetz
Lorne William Ehgoetz age 60 of Church St., Stratford passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 09, 2007. He was born in Stratford son of the late George and Edna Ehgoetz. Lorne graduated from Conestoga College in Computor Programming and worked at Valeo (formerly Blackstone). At the time of his death he was a Computor Programmer Analyst at F B C in London, ON. Lorne was a lifelong member of 1st St. John's Lutheran Church, Seebachs Hill, a former Elder and presently a Trustee of the Church. Lorne was active in sports, especially baseball and hockey. Beloved husband of Sharon Louise Brown whom he married October 18, 1975 in Stratford. Loving father of Jodie and husband Bryan Baker, Exeter, Kelly Ehgoetz, Stratford, Matthew Ehgoetz, Mississauga. Dear grandfather of Jonathon, Jarrett and Bryanne. Brother of Carlton Ehgoetz and wife Ann, Stratford, Marlene Ballantyne and husband Howard, R.R. # 3 Stratford, Paul Ehgoetz, R.R. # 5 Stratford, Earl Ehgoetz and wife Joanne, Sebringville. Also surviving is his mother in law Mary Brown, Stratford, sisters in law and brothers in law Sandra Cousins, Eric (Rick) Brown and Linda Ward, Kevin Brown and several nieces and nephews. John Andrew Nyenhuis
John Nyenhuis, age 29, of Calgary, Alberta passed away suddenly in an avalanche on Saturday December 8, 2007. He was born on August 16, 1978 and grew up in Kinkora, Ontario. Survived by his long time girlfriend and soul mate, Monica Henriques. Dear son of Henk and Mary Nyenhuis of Kinkora, brother of MaryAnne Chan (Steve) of St.Jacobs, Jeff of Windsor, and Chris of Waterloo. Loving uncle of Daniella Chan. Also survived by his grandparents Adrian and Mary Van Nynatten of Kinkora, oma Marie Nyenhuis of Holland, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Canada and Holland. Predeceased by his opa Johan Nyenhuis and cousin Bas Nyenhuis of Holland. He was a professional engineer and an outdoor enthusiast who loved to play in the mountains. Kenneth Wayne Ballantyne, age 52, of Stratford passed away suddenly at LHSC, University Hospital on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Loving father of Jason Ballantyne (Teri-Lynn), Jennifer Ballantyne (Wade O'Brien), Jesse Ballantyne. He will be missed by his grandchildren Gavin, Shyanne and Carter. Loving son of Ella Ballantyne and the late Franklin Ballantyne. Also survived by a brother James Ballantyne (Wendy) and several aunts, uncles and their families. Mr. Albert Dobben, age 81, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Monday November 19, 2007. Born in Holland on October 16, 1926. Albert worked in dairy sales for most of his life. He enjoyed his time at Grand Bend and Christian Island and loved just hangin' out at the beach. Beloved husband of Lorna Small whom he married April 10, 1999. Loving father of Lucas Dobben, Hank Dobben, Albert Dobben Jr. and wife Debbie and Janiece Fennema and husband George. Lovingly remembered by Lorna's Children; Deborah Morrison and husband Marvin, Stan Small and Patty Fischer and husband Paul. Cherished Opa of Jessica and Michael Fennema, Shane and David Armstrong, Carrie and Mike Kidd and seven great grandchildren. Grandpa of Travis and Shannon, Sarah and Trevor, Kris and Cheryl, Jeff, Mya and great grandpa of Austin. Dear brother of Bert Dobben and wife Betty, Lukas Dobben and wife Jean, Margaret Roberts and husband Ernest, Frances Plat, Geesje Fulton and husband Stephen. Also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Albert was predeceased by his first wife Henny (Vos) Dobben.

Susan Gail Sybersma
Susan Gail Sybersma, age 65, passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 19, 2007 after a long illness. Susan was born in Timmins, Ontario. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ena Graham. Susan was dearly loved by her husband, the late Dirk Thomas Sybersma (1987). She was the loving mother of the late Paul Dirk Sybersma (2003). She is dearly loved and is survived by her son Mark T. Sybersma and his wife, Michelle, and incredibly adored by her two grandchildren Dirk and Sarah. Susan is survived by her twin siblings, John Graham and his wife Lynn of Ottawa and Vicki Abella and her husband Manolo of Thailand. She was Best Friend to Danny Austin and David Hogan. Jim Dellow
We regret with sadness to announce the passing of James Dellow, age 61, on November 20th, 2007 at Stratford General Hospital. Jim was born in Stratford, at home, in 1945. He was the son of Mary (Kotyk) Dellow and the late Lawrence (Jiggs) Dellow. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joanne (Maslen) Dellow, daughter Jen Tucker and husband Tim, grandchildren Emily and Tyler, daughter Jackie Slattery and husband Sean, grandchildren Kiera and Colin, sister Barb McRorie and husband Peter, mother-in-law Donnie Maslen, brother-in-laws David Maslen (Jan), Michael Maslen (Marg), sister-in-laws Debbie Smith (Ken), Janice Gilchrist (Bob), Karen Harbin (Ivan) and many nieces and nephews. As well as his father, he was predeceased by his nephew Sean McRorie and father-in-law Horace Maslen. Jim will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He worked for many years at Samsonite and always enjoyed going to work. He loved to golf and spend time with his friends in Grand Bend. Jim’s strength and courage helped him win his battle with lung cancer in 2001/2002, this granted him time to see Jackie and Sean get married and the birth of their two children as well the recent marriage of Jen and Tim. Jim was a member of AA for 32 years and made many life long friends, including Bill and Kathy Schafer. His family and grandchildren were of great joy to him, along with his best buddy Ebony. If Jim could speak to us now, he would say be happy for the time we had together and the happiness we shared. A private family service will be held on Friday with interment in Avondale cemetery. Jim Gevaert
Mr. James Paul Gevaert, age 69, passed away peacefully at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family on Wednesday November 21, 2007. Beloved husband of June (Seaton) Gevaert whom he married on October 21, 1961. Loving father of Lorrie Viani and husband Rob, Peter Gevaert and friend Honey Lynn, Beth Gevaert and friend Don, and Paul Gevaert and friend Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Tyler, Mark and Michael Viani. Dear brother of Bob Gevaert and wife Sharron, and Dianne Sutton and husband Max. Also survived by sister-in-law Lorna Seaton-Cassis and husband Philip, and several nieces and nephews. His family and friends will dearly miss him. Born in Merlin, Ontario, son of the late Peter and Mary Gevaert. A graduate of Ridgetown Agricultural College, he worked at Hinde and Dauch in Chatham. He was transferred to the St.Marys plant (now Norampac) as a production manager. Jim and June bought their farm in Downie Township in 1962 where they began farming and Jim established himself as an electrician. A caring husband and father, he truly loved sharing his time and life experiences with his grandsons. Jim was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years. He was also a Past President and current member of the St. Mary’s Agricultural Society, a loyal member of the Stratford Knights of Columbus Council 1431, a member of the Tri-County Heritage Club Ilderton, and a Director of the Mitchell Pioneer and Hobby Club. Jim enjoyed conversation and could not pass up a good political debate. He was a fixture at local auctions and enjoyed the company of those in attendance. Jim loved the countryside and always took the scenic route. Our prayers are with him on his journey home. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Mr. Ralph Joseph Weishar, age 57, passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital surrounded by his family on Friday November 23, 2007. He is survived by his wife Karen of 34 years, daughter Colleen Scott and husband Trevor and grandchildren Karalyn and Vanessa, daughter Rebecca Smith and husband Jeff and grandson Andrew, daughter Melanie Weishar and boyfriend Joshua Tobias, father Ralph Weishar Sr. brothers and sisters; Andy (Doris) Weishar, Ted (Karen) Weishar, Mary Lou Kretz, Allan (Mary Ann) Weishar, Anita Stothers (Ron), Frank (Marlene) Weishar, Joe (Brenda) Weishar, Merv Weishar, Dan (Liz) Weishar, Jeanette Wilke (Paul), Paul (Joanne) Weishar, Karen Reutz (Ed), Dave (Gail) Weishar, Gary (Joanne) Weishar, Steven Weishar, Ray (Cheryl) Weishar, Darel (Jan) Weishar, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Donna Weishar, Marjorie (Lorne) Shupe, Joan Kieffer, Georgina (Reinhart) Schreiter, Bill (Linda) Kieffer, Corinne (Michael) Black, Ron Kieffer, Elaine (Peter) Groot, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Ralph will be dearly missed by his family, dog Zoe, bunnies, friends and all who knew him.
He worked as a teacher with the Huron Perth Catholic School Board for 31 years, as a driver for New Orleans Pizza for 22 years and was a member of the Big Brothers, Knights of Columbus Council 1431, Stratford and the Lakeside Seniors.
