Marjorie Davidson, age 91, a lifelong resident of Stratford, passed away peacefully in Mississauga on Wednesday March 25, 2009. Marjorie worked at Dr. Glenn Evans office for many years until her retirement and was a life long member of Parkview United Church. Beloved wife of the late David Davidson who predeceased her in 1982. Loving mother of Dalton Davidson and his wife Donna of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Todd Davidson and his wife Jennifer of Mississauga and Craig Davidson of Boston. Great grandmother of A.J. and Matt Davidson. Predeceased by a son Larry in infancy, sisters Dorcas Davidson and husband John and Grace Goodwin and husband Roy. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Joan Ross
Joan Ross, age 84, passed quietly into the arms of angels, at Spruce Lodge, Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born in Prescott, England, on July 4, 1924, Joan married Gerrard Ross on June 4, 1949, in Prescott. She and Gerry moved to Canada in July of 1957 with their three oldest children. Joan was a loving mother to her six children and a doting grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors with Gerry and together they spent happy hours fishing, canoeing, and rambling forest and riverside trails. Her other passions included knitting, reading, cooking, and serving you a “cup of tea” when you arrived! She will be forever missed by her husband, Gerry, and her laughter will be remembered by her children: Gerard (Bernadette) of Howe Island, Gillian Robertson of London, Michael (Janet) of North Bay, Joan Oue (Gerry) of Stratford, Pamela Irwin (Kevin) of Point Clark, and David (Caroline) of Goderich. Memories will be cherished forever by her grandchildren: Geraldine Ross, Kenneth Ross, Stephen Ross (Nikki), Krista Ross, Gregory Oue (Stephanie), Catherine Oue, Sarah Irwin, Benjamin Irwin, Laura Irwin, Andrea Ross, and Robert Ross. Will be sadly missed by great-grandchildren Arik Ross and Emma Ross. Predeceased by her parents Edith and William Edmondson of England and sister Phyllis Taylor and brother-in-law John Taylor of Goderich. Joan was the last surviving member of the Edmondson line.
There will be no visitation and a private family service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, with Father Tom Ferrera of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church officiating. Suddenly on Sunday March 29, 2009, Robert Cecil McCann, age 66, passed away at the Woodstock General Hospital. Born in Hamilton, son of the late Cecil and Ann McCann. Beloved husband of the late Linda (Chase) McCann who predeceased him in 1994. Loving father of Kathy McCann (Grant Cafferty) of Mississauga and Shane McCann (Angela) of Woodstock. Cherished Gramps of Christopher and Madison. Dear brother of Gary McCann, Bruce McCann (Irene), Don McCann (Yvonne), Theresa McCann, Sharon McCann, Beverly Bailey (Dave), Brenda McCann, Delphine Sangster (Doug), Darlene Bryant, and Bernice McCann. Donald Durst
Donald Graff Durst, age 89, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Friday July 2, 2010. Born in the living room of the family farmhouse in Ellice Township, son of the late Edmund Durst and the former Emma Graff. Donald farmed until 1974 and later worked in the office at Gaffney Construction. He was a lifetime member of Emmanuel United Church in Sebringville, and a dedicated curler at the Stratford Golf and Curling Club. Beloved husband of Audrey Durst. Loving father of Donald James Durst and wife Patti and Robert Edmund Durst. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Peter (Marni), Lauren and Michael. Great grandfather of Claire and Ansley. Dear brother of William G. Durst and wife Rose-Ann and their family. Also survived by cousin Stanley Durst and wife Janet and their family and stepson Steven Hawkins. Fondly remembered by special friends Mary Ann and Leslie Jenkin, Peggy Heinbuch and many friends in the bridge and golf worlds. Besides his parents he was predeceased by son John (1971), wife Ann (1973) and step-daughter Laura Press Hawkins (2004). Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the W.G. Eric Steven Eberhardt
Eric Steven Eberhardt, of Sebringville, died peacefully with his wife, Marsha, at his side the morning of Friday, July 9th, 2010.
Eric was born in Houghton, Michigan on January 24, 1949, and grew up in Danville, Illinois. Eric immigrated to Canada in December 1971 with his wife Marsha, and daughter, Erin.
He was a devoted and loving husband, and an incredibly loving and caring father, grandfather (papa), brother, uncle and friend. Loving husband of Marsha (nee Jackson) whom he married on March 7th, 1970. Dear father of Erin Eberhardt (Patrick) Spence and Ewen (Andrea Gage) Eberhardt. Cherished brother of Michael (Barbara) Eberhardt, Barb Eberhardt, Sue (Chuck) Kramer, Nancy Harmon, and Joanne Eberhardt (Ben Goulding). Eric will be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren: Ella Eberhardt, Norah Eberhardt, Jaeda Spence, Keon Eberhardt, Sienna Spence; and missed by his many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Virginia (nee Gray) Eberhardt.
Eric owned and operated the Gentle Rain Natural Health Food Store in Stratford for the past 30 years. He was passionate in his efforts to care for the environment making him a leader in many environmental initiatives. Eric was grateful to his many friends in whom he found companionship and a shared love of adventure. He was an avid organic farmer, canoeist, kayaker, hiker, and political activist.
We are so grateful to the doctors and nurses at London Health Sciences Centre and Stratford General Hospital for their incredible care and support.

Mr. Michael Troiano, age 83, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday July 11, 2010.
Michael worked for many years at Dominion Chain in Stratford.
Loving husband of Grace (Iacobellis) whom he married in 1958. Dear father of Tony Troiano. He is predeceased by his brother Pepino and sisters Filomena and Francesca.

Loving son in law of Shirley Todd (late Robert) and brother in law of Vince (Loretta) Todd, Val (Jim) Hughes, Joe Todd, John Todd, Wally (Paula) Todd and Gil (Jenne) Todd. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles. Barry was predeceased by his son David Richard and siblings Carrie, Burnet, William and sister in law Cheryl Hendershotte.
