McPHERSON, Jean -- Passed away, peacefully, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, October 12, 2005. Jean McPherson was the dear mother of Heidi Palmer and her husband Ashley of Durham, and Liza Dankewitz, Curt McPherson and his wife Michele, all of Guelph. She is fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren Jordan, Emilie, and William Palmer, and Chantal and Danielle Scapinello, and Curtis and Amber McPherson. Jean is survived by her sister Linda Higden of Calgary, AB and by her brother Alan McPherson of Ottawa.
A Private Family Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 15, 2005, followed by interment at Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

PADARATH, Lallan Paul - passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Thursday, August 16, 2007. L. Paul Padarath, in his 75th year, was the dear uncle of his nephews and nieces in Cedros, Bonnase Village, Trinidad. He will be remembered by many friends in Guelph. For many years, Paul worked at the Aberfoyle Mill. Friends may call to meet with family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home , 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Monday, August 20, 2007 from 9-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11 a.m.

PAHL, Ruth - passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 23, 2007, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Helmut of 58 years. Cherished mother of Eduard (Betty-Ann), Petra (Gary) Smith and Bruce (Michelle). Loving Oma of Paul (Rosa), Mark, Erika, Kimberley, Russell and Matthew. Loving sister to Gerda and aunt to Gerda and Walter Kuettner. Will be sadly missed by many extended family and friends in Canada and Germany. A special Thank You to all of the staff at Morriston Park Nursing Home. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel , 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Guelph-Wellington would be appreciated by the family.

PAVLI, Joseph -- passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. He is now gone to be with his beloved wife, Marcella (Markle) (2000). Joseph was the loving father of Joanne Morrison and her husband Peter, and Peter Pavli and his wife Candy. He was the cherished Poppy to Andrea and Kendra Morrison and grandfather to Adam. He is fondly remembered by Jennifer, Virginia, Jordan and Robin. Joseph is survived by his sisters, Mary Kolich, Hamilton, and Anne Pavli, Huntsville. He is a dear brother-in-law and uncle to many. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Pavli; by his brothers, Tony, Vilko, Alphonse, Stan and Frank and by his sister, Milka Yerlah. He was born in Richwood, West Virginia on February 6, 1914; at age 2 he moved to Slovenia and immigrated to Huntsville, Ontario in 1930 at age 16. He was a member of the No. 2 District Depot Brass (army) Band from 1942 - 1947. Joseph and his family moved from Huntsville to Acton in 1961 where he worked as an employee of Beardmore until his retirement. Joe and Marcella moved to Guelph in 1986. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Huntsville and Acton) and also enjoyed many years with Acton Citizen's Band. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Joseph will be held on Thursday evening at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

PERIZZOLO, Albina Maria -- Following a courageous struggle after suffering a stroke, Albina passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, February 26, 2007. Albina (Bottin) Perizzolo, 85 years of age, was the beloved wife of the late Anselmo Perizzolo (2000). She was the dear mother of Adriana and Italo Ciaschi of Rockwood, Graziano Perizzolo and Deb Farquharson of Newmarket, and Maria Rosa and Jeff Furminger, of Guelph. Loving Nonna of Patrick, Kayla, Sebastian, Megan, Mark and David. Albina will be sadly missed by her brothers and families in Italy as well as the many close friends in Toronto and Elliot Lake. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel, 117 Guelph Street, Rockwood where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Vigil for Albina will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at St. Peter's Church, Oustic at 10:30 a.m. Spring interment, Rockwood cemetery. As expresssions of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

POLLACK, Edward Roland Baker -- Suddenly, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Sunday, November 27, 2005. Edward Pollack, in his 90th year, was the beloved husband of Helen M. (McCarron) (Synnott) Pollack and the late Adelaide Guest (1970). Edward was the dear father of Jo-Ann and her husband Roy Fagel of Guelph. He was the dear step-father of the late Rev. Ronald Synnott (2001), Mary Beth and her husband Dennis Nolan of Ottawa, Jane and her husband Mike Nunan of Guelph, Michael and his friend Mary of Waterloo, Patrick and his wife Nancy of Calgary and John and his wife Heather of Mississauga. Loved grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Gladys, Ernest and Marjorie, all late of Australia. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friends today (Monday, November 28th) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at St. George's Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich St. Guelph, on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. George's Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.

PRIOR, John Thomas "Jack" -- Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Thursday, November 17th, 2005 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home at the age of 70. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Florabell (Goetz). Jack was the proud father of Dan and his wife Ruth Ann, Larry and his wife Denise, Kim McLeod and her husband Albert, Lisa Cracknell and her husband Mark, and Cathy Mullen and her husband Steve. Predeceased by his son Rick (1986). He will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Jean Cellini (Harry), Neil (Shirley), Doug (Donna), Yvonne Muir (Clint), and Donna Hie (Gerald). Survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, HART CHAPEL, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Saturday November 19th, 2005. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

PYKE, Lewis A. (Lew) - Veteran of the Second World War, Army Service Corp and former long time employee of the City of Guelph. It is with sadness and relief the family announce that Lew passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Monday, October 20, 2008. Lewis A. Pyke, 88 years of age, was the beloved husband of Lillian Pyke. He was the caring father of Evelyn Pyke (Dave Keleher) of Guelph, David Pyke of Edmonton, Catharine Pyke-Walters (Dennis) of Huntsville and step-father of Sally Sadler (Keith) of Calgary, Mark Macdonald (Nancy) of Woodstock, Michael Macdonald (Sandra) of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Janice Richards (Eric) of Kitchener. Father-in-law of Janice Pyke. Lew will be missed by his 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Steve Pyke (Eleanor) and Clifford Pyke (Agnes) all of Toronto. He is predeceased by his first wife, Elsie; his son, Clifford; his grandson, Lewis; his sisters, Gertrude and Kathleen; his brother, Harry; and by his parents, Archibald and Ida (Deacon) Pyke. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel , 1099 Gordon St., Guelph for memorial visitation on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

ROBINSON, Frances Christina (nee Bradfield) -- B.A.Sc. (1948, with honours, University of Toronto). Born June 6, 1915, in Toronto, died in Guelph, October 6, 2005, having been married for 56 years. She was the loving wife and friend of Frederic Robinson. She was the mother of Christopher Robinson and friend of his wife Isabelle Mikosza, loving grandmother of their sons Denys and Nicolas. She leaves a sister, Marcia Byrne, of California. Funeral service at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St N., Guelph at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. ROE, Mary Elizabeth (Bette) née Hurley -- passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughters, at Wellington Terrace, Friday, September 23, 2005. Bette Roe in her 81st year, daughter of the late George and Beth Hurley. She was the loving mother of Lois Kelleher and her husband Dennis of Ottawa, and Judy Johnson and her friend Trevor of Guelph. Bette will be sadly missed by grandchildren Derek and his wife Sherry of North Bay, Kathy-Ann of Ohio, Ainsley and Louise McPherson of Guelph. Great Grandma to Ryan, Kelsey, Brittany, Bryanne, and Kyle.
She was the loving sister of Isobel O'Rourke of Maryhill, and Genevieve McCrea of Sault St. Marie. Survived by 11 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Anita (Micki) McArthur, and brother Bill Hurley.
Bette was employed at Hammond Manufacturing, on Edinburgh Road, for 29 years.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where family will receive friends, on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow, in the Chapel, at 3:00 p.m.
Private interment of ashes at Marymount cemetery , at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Wellington Terrace Nursing Home, Elora would be appreciated by the family.

SANDERS, Wilhelmus Josephus (Bill) - (Member of the Knights of Columbus 9660, St. John's Council, Guelph)
passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Bill Sanders, in his 85th year, was the beloved husband of the late Wilhelmina (nee Jaegers) Sanders (July 2, 2004). He was the dear father of Billie and her husband Paul Teeter of Guelph, and Michael Sanders of Waterloo. Bill was the loving grandfather of Jeff and Jeni Teeter and Tammy and Kevin Sanders. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Martin Pittens, of Whitby, and by nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sister Anna Pittens.
Friends may call to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Bill will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. Cremation. The Ashes will be entombed at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount cemetery , Guelph, at a later date. SANDERSON, Phyllis (nee Gardhouse) -- (member of the Women's Land Army, WWII)
Peacefully, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Friday, October 7, 2005. Phyllis Gardhouse Sanderson, in her 80th year, was the beloved wife of the late Edward (Ted) Sanderson (1999). She was the loving mother of Judith Renaud and her husband Ian of Guelph and grandmother of David and Matthew. Phyllis was predeceased by her sisters May, Milly, and Marian. For thirty years, she was a volunteer with the Guelph General Hospital Volunteer Association.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph, on Wednesday October 12, 2005, at 11 am. Archdeacon Thomas Greene officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, St. George's Building Fund, or St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
