Edith Emily Clinch
July 3, 1904 - January 10, 2002

Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Robinson Chapel)

Peacefully on Thursday January 10, 2002 at St. Olga’s Lifecare Centre, Hamilton.

Edith Emily Clinch of Hamilton in her 98th year.

Loving aunt of Barbara Dunbar (Dave), Ethel Arnold (Don), Marjorie Mason (Gord), David Clinch (Karen) and Martha Clinch.

Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Clinch (Aug 10, 2001) her brother Stanley Clinch, her sister-in-law Ethel Clinch and nephew Paul Clinch.

Miss Clinch is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) Hamilton where the family will receive friends on Monday January 14, 2002 from 12 noon until the time of service in the “Robinson Chapel” at 1:30 pm.

Interment will follow at Grove cemetery , Dundas.

If so desired, Remembrances to St. Olga’s Lifecare Centre would be appreciated by the family .

Christina Cunningham Kettle
April 20, 1907 - January 5, 2002

passed away peacefully at First Place, Hamilton, on January 5th, in her 95th year.

Survived by daughter Lois Pounder; predeceased by son Phillip Kettle (Pat Kettle).

Sadly missed by Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Private family arrangements have been made and cremation has taken place.

If so desired remembrances to the Cancer Assistance Program would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Joseph Henry Smith
June 28, 1930 - January 20, 2002

Suddenly at home on Sunday, January 20, 2002, Joseph Smith, husband and dear friend of Alice.

Loving father of Robert and his wife Jeanette and the late Sandra. Dear brother of Jack (Valerie), Fred (Shirley), Margaret (New Brunswick) and Gail and her husband Paul (Kirkland Lake).

Best friend of Bob and Norma Reynolds, also survived by his brother-in-law John Farnell, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was retired from Dofasco.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) on Thursday afternoon, January 24th at 2:00 p.m.

November 20, 1938 - February 4, 2002

At the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, February 4, 2002 in her 64th year. Olga Baker, wife of Doug; loving mother of Jim & Robin; Chris & Dean; Tracy & John & son-in-law Dave & the late Leslie; predeceased by her parents Diane & Leslie Phillips; sadly missed by 6 grandchildren & 3 brothers & 3 sisters; also survived by her brother-in-law & 3 sisters-in-law. Olga was retired from Siemens Westinghouse.

Friends will be received at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL, King St., E. at Wellington, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday morning at 11:00 o’clock.

Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the C.C.U. at the Hamilton General Hospital.

Those wishing, may make memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Beloved father of Delores Aubie (Rodney), Robert Myke (Sandra) and the late Gordon Myke and stepfather of Jackie Guspodaryk and Elizabeth Aubie. Loved grandfather of Rodney Myke, Kaitlynne Aubie, Tyson Myke and Nickolas Myke.

Dear brother of Joan Myke and Dolores Dawson and the late Vivian, Ron, Gord, Grace, Jane and Beatrice.

Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Edith Carron.

Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Gordon Myke. Special thanks to Linda Green, Wendy Claus, Sandy Guigue, Melissa Myke, and the nurses from SEN, Helene, Annie and Dorothy.

Friends will be received at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington), 905-522-2496, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1:00 p.m.

Helen Margaret Morton of Hamilton in her 84th year. Loving daughter of the late John & Millicent Morton.

Fondly remembered by former neighbours and friends and by many former students from numerous elementary schools throughout Hamilton and most notably from the West Avenue Public School from where she retired.

Beloved wife of Andrew “Andy” Sullivan. Loving mother of Jerry Gauthier, Nicole Gauthier, both of Hamilton, Andrew Jr. and his wife Priscilla Sullivan of Burnaby, B.C., and Nancy Sullivan of Hamilton. Dearest Nana of Jordan and Norissa Sullivan.

Dear sister of Jane and David Scott, Howard and Rebecca Baker, Harvey and Karen Baker, and Lloyd and Dianne Baker all of Hamilton. Beloved daughter-in-law of Mary Sullivan of Hamilton, and sister-in-law of Rosemary and Gordon Ashton of Barrie, Carl and Janet Sullivan of Grand Falls, Nfld., and Joseph and Janet Sullivan, Gerry and Shirley O’Rourke, Dan Sullivan and Debra Louttit, all of Hamilton, and Randy and Linda Sullivan of Stoney Creek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Arthur Gilbert Polmateer
February 19, 1922 - February 25, 2002

Peacefully at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ontario, on February 25, 2002, in his 81st year.

Arthur served with the R.C.A.F. during WWII, and was an employee of Stelco, Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home and McMaster University.

Arthur was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Huntsville.

Dearly loved by sons Larry (Debbie) Polmateer of Hamilton, Ross (Alex) Polmateer of Utterson, Ontario and daughter Nancy (Russel) McPherson of Caledonia. Will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren, Richard, Brandi, Dana, Kim, Brad, Amanda and Graham, and three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Shelby, and Kole. Predeceased by parents Gilbert and Ethel Polmateer.
