James 'Jim' Shaw
July 28, 1921 - October 31, 2000

Funeral arrangements by L G Wallace Funeral Home

Peacefully, on Tuesday October 31, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Jim Shaw in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Kathleen. Loved father of Ann Long and her husband Butch, Jim Shaw, Kathy Seguin and her husband Claude and George Shaw and his companion Jean. Sadly missed by grandchildren Kelly, Adam, Candace, James and Jessica. Dear brother of William, John, Doreen and Minnie.

Jim was a long-time employee of the Ford Motor Company.

Friends will be received at the L.G. Wallace Funeral Home (151 Ottawa Street North) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday November 3, 2000 at 11 a.m. Interment Eastlawn cemetery.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the I.C.U. at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Sreten Pesic
January 31, 1935 - November 11, 2000

Peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Henderson General Hospital, Sreten at age 65.

Beloved husband of Rada. Loving father of Goran Pesic, Zoran and Georgina Ilic. Dear grandfather of Christopher. Sreten will be sadly missed by many family and friends in Canada and abroad.

Visitation L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (544-1147) on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pomens Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday at 1 p.m. from St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral with the Very Reverend Fathers Stevo Stojsavljevich and Lazar Vukojev officiating. Interment at Eastlawn cemetery.

If desired donations may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral.

The family would like to thank all friends who visited at the Hospital and also the nursing staff of Ward 396 at the Henderson General Hospital.

Dorothy Ilene James
November 10, 1919 - November 11, 2000

At McMaster University Medical Centre on Saturday November 11, 2000, one day after her 81st birthday.

Predeceased by her husband Ted and brothers Ray, Roy, and Allan and sister Margaret.

Mother of Ted, Judy and her husband Derrick Wide and loving grandmother of Jamie and Jeff.

Visitation at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa St. North (544-1147) on Tuesday, November 14th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 15th . Interment Eastlawn cemetery.

Donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Kenneth Maxwell March
August 16, 1919 - November 7, 2000

Peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 7, 2000, Ken, in his 82nd year.

Predeceased by wife Rita. Dear father of Stephen and wife Diane, Ken Jr. and wife Rosemary, Rhonda and husband Jack Smith, and Sandra.

Will always be remembered by grandchildren Jodie, Jennifer, Tanja, Stephen, Amie, Jay, and Bonnie. Great-Papa to Liam. Will be fondly remembered by other family members in Newfoundland.

Ken served overseas in World War II in the R.A.F. and was a lifetime member of Carpenters' Local #18.

Visitation at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (544-1147) on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

If so desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.

George William Burch
October 29, 1923 - November 17, 2000

Peacefully passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on November 17, 2000 at the age of 77.

Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen of fifty-two years.

Loving father of George and Debbie, Philip and Diane, Russ and Barb, Gerald, Len and Tammy, Allan and Rebecca.

Proud grandfather of ten grand-children. Will be sadly missed by his many friends and co-workers at Ford Motor Company where he was employed for twenty-eight years.

George was a past member of the Lincoln-Welland Regiment, serving his country proudly during World War II.

He will greatly missed by all who knew him.

June 8, 1951 - November 22, 2000

After a short but courageous battle, while surrounded by her loving family, Dorothy Jean, in her 49th year.

Cherished and loved wife of Robert for twenty-three years.

Loving sister of Linda (David) McEachern and Larry (Emily) Preston. Dear sister-in-law of Dianne (John) Smith and Doug (Kelly) King. Loving godmother to David and Jason Conroy. Aunt Dorothy will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Dr. Rouf, Dr. Tozer and the dedicated professionals at the Dunnville and Henderson Hospitals.

Dorothy touched many lives but especially her best friend Robert, “Love you Bunnies.”

Beloved husband of 62 years to Sofija. Loving father of Steve and his wife Dragica. Loved and cherished grandfather of Milos.

Dear brother of Ranka Romcevic of Hamilton, Milan Vranic and Dragica Spanovic of Yugoslavia. Always remembered by his niece Mira and husband Marko and their children Miodrag and Predrag Todoric and nephew Milorad Spanovic of Australia.

Survived by his cousins Mihajlo Durajlija, Nikola Dejanovic, Milka Culibrk, Stana Visnjic and their families. Will be sadly missed by his Kum Branko Miskovic and many other friends.
