BERRY, Mary Anne - At Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday, July 18, 2002, in her 70th year. Mary Berry (nee Seitz) of Cambridge is the beloved wife of the late John Berry (1995). Dear mother of Lee Marquardt and her husband Paul of Guelph, Lynn Dykeman and her husband Mark of St. George, Cathy Black and her husband Dean of Renfrew and Art Berry and his wife Cristina of Cambridge; loved grandmother of Jennalee and Katelynn Black, Meghan and Matthew Dykeman, Michelle Marquardt and Francesca Berry; beloved daughter of Isabelle Seitz of Guelph; loved aunt of Bud Berry and his wife Barb and their children David and Lauren; dear sister of Norman Seitz, Lucille Ferguson, Mike, Jack and Jean Seitz, Kathy Fortune and Dave Seitz. She was predeceased by her father, Norman Seitz and one sister, Sandra Seitz. Mary was an active member of St. Ambrose Church, Cambridge and retired from Cambridge Memorial Hospital after 25 years of nursing. Friends will be received at T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Main St. E., Cambridge, www.funeralscanada.com on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose RC Church, Chalmers at South St., Cambridge on Monday, July 22, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount View cemetery , Cambridge. A parish rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

FORD, Donna J. - Passed away, after a courageous battle with Cancer, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Monday, July 1, 2002, Donna J. Ford, in her 58th year.Beloved friend and partner of Walter Mitchell; mother of Leanne of Guelph and Bryon and his fiancee Christina of Guelph and also loved by Walter's children, Marlene Raymond of Caledon East and Paul Mitchell of Kitchener; grandmother to Sarah and Hannah Raymond. Survived by her brother, George Bruce and his wife Susan of Eden Mills and sister-in-law, Judy Ford of Langley, B.C.Predeceased by her parents, William and Alberta Bruce and one daughter, Christina Peace (1966).Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 (today) at 2 p.m. at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus. A reception will follow in the Wellington Room of the Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Home Care of Wellington-Dufferin or the Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at 1-(519)-843-3100.

DUFFIELD, Joan (nee Moran) - Of Guelph, passed away suddenly, at home, Monday, June 17, 2002, in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Ronald V. Duffield; loved mother of Lynn (Liz) Duffield of Thunder Bay, Lori (Randy) Martin of Elmira, and Lee (Jan) Duffield of Guelph; loving grandmother of Jason, Jennifer, Alex and Peanut (on the way); dear sister of Bill (Dolores) Moran of Guelph, Carol (John) Finlay of Rockwood and the late Jack (Sue) Moran. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Edith (nee Bevan) Moran. A private service was held at Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph, Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bill Klassen officiating. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 204-21 Surrey St. W., Guelph N1H 3R3 or the Guelph Humane Society, PO Box 684, Guelph N1H 6L3 would be appreciated. Giovannina (Pegoraro) Zaccheo, in her 83rd year, was the beloved wife of the late Fortunato Zaccheo (March 1989). Loving mother of Angelo Zaccheo and his wife Maureen of Toronto, Mary Steele and her husband Patrick of Guelph and Margaret Curto and her husband David of Ancaster; dear Nonna of Kathleen Zaccheo, Alicia and Jena Steele and David and Steven Curto; loving sister of Giuseppina Bettiol and the late Anni Pegoraro, Maria Dal Zilio and Elisabetta Michieletto. Luigina was a former president of St. John's Church CWL. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A CWL prayer service will take place today (Monday) at 4 p.m. and the Vigil for Luigina will be held today (Monday) at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., on Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at 11 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

CAUDLE, Uldene Gertrude - Passed away, at Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre, in Mount Forest, on Sunday, June 23, 2002, Uldene (Dene) Caudle, beloved wife of the late Everett Caudle of Howick township, in her 80th year. She is survived by one son, Steven Caudle of Southampton, one grandson, Matthew and one sister, Gladys Bargy. Predeceased by one sister, Grace Billings and two brothers, William Skead and John Ferchat. Friends may call at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Clifford (519-327-8160) this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment Clifford cemetery. Loved father of Donald of Guelph, Deborah (Bob) Angus of Richmond Hill, Robert, David, Susan and Karen Cornwell (Stephen Dolby), all of Guelph. Don will be sadly missed by his wife Mildred of Guelph; loving grandfather of Trent Cornwell, Lesley and Timothy Angus, Mark, Christina and Carey Cornwell, Amanda and Peter Bacoyannis, Shannon Cornwell and Meghan and Kennedy Dolby; great-grandfather of Taylor and Cody; dear brother of Hazel Gunsalus of New York and Myrtle Landon of Florida. DOUGLAS, Jane Marie - Peacefully, on Sunday, June 30, 2002. Marie (Heffernan) Douglas, in her 81st year, was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Douglas (1994). She was the loving mother of Linda Douglas-Black, Paul Douglas, Brad Douglas and Michelle Douglas-Cummings. Marie was the dear mother-in-law of Laurie Douglas and Rebecca Whitney. She was the loving grandmother of Whitney, Sarah, Katherine, Stewart, Meredith, Jayne and Elizabeth. Marie is survived by her brothers, Bernie Heffernan (Alice), Leo Heffernan (Betty) and Bill Heffernan (Rene). She is predeceased by her parents, Annie and Michael Heffernan and her brothers, Michael, Robert and Paul. Friends may call at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where visitation will take place today (Wednesday) 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Thursday, July 4, 2002 at 10 a.m. A Vigil for Marie will take place this evening (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. TURNER, Helen Magdalene - On Thursday, July 18, 2002, Helen Wiley of RR 1, Flesherton, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Lionel Turner. Loving mother of Barbara and her husband Graham Henry of Flesherton and Margaret and her husband Chris Pickard of Guelph; devoted grandmother of Amanda, Blake, Ethan, Ben and Hannah; dear sister of Elva and her husband Russell Phillips of Flesherton. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon Wiley and Eva Buskin and sister, Elsie Lee. NIXON, Shirley - Peacefully, with the love of her family at her side, on Monday, July 8, 2002, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, in Fergus, Shirley Nixon (nee Irvine). Beloved wife of the late Joseph Nixon (1998). Loving mother of Sandra Lynne of Moose Jaw, Sask., Elizabeth and her husband Bill Kurt of Fergus, Stephen and his wife Kim Jefferson of Fergus and Laurie and her husband Eric Stellings of RR 1, Fergus. Lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Joyce Erskine of Acton, Bud of Fergus and Bob and his wife Lorraine of Alberta. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Norah Irvine. The family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus from 12 noon Friday until time of service at 1 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2002, Rev. S. Huntley officiating at the service. TRABUCCO, Olindo - Peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, on Monday, August 12, 2002, at the age of 72. Survived by his loving wife, Gina (Gagliardi) Trabucco and his children, Maria and Enzo Pugliese, Dan and Mauro (Moe). Dear nonno of Vince and Robert Pugliese. Also survived by his brother, Renato and Filomena Trabucco and family, Lino, Ida, Brigida, Patricia Colanggelo of Hamilton, Luigia and Dino Gagliardi. Will be missed by his loving family in Italy, Nino and Karla Gagliardi, Tancredi and Maria Gracia Gagliardi, Walter Trabucco and family and many nieces and nephews. Olindo died in peaceful harmony surrounded by his family. He was actively involved in the Alpini of Italy where he served courageously. He will be missed tremendously. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A vigil for Olindo will be this evening (Thursday) at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 16 at Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount cemetery , Guelph. McDERMOTT, Lawrence Alfred - (Veteran of the Second World War). Peacefully, at Oxford Lodge, with all his family, on Wednesday, August 14, 2002. Larry McDermott, in his 90th year, was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Mary (Betty) (Healey) McDermott (1982). Dear father of Patrick McDermott of Mississauga, Dennis McDermott and Michael McDermott and his wife Julia, all of Guelph. Dear brother of the late Beatrice (1999). Survived by three grandchildren, Peter, Gregory and Colleen and Prodigal son Father Mike. For over 40 years, Larry taught microbiology at the University of Guelph, was a faithful and active parishioner at the Church of Our Lady, was very active in the Guelph community and was a founding member of Guelph and Wellington Credit Union. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friends today (Friday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17, 2002 at the Church of Our Lady at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. The Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 8 p.m. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
