SANDS, Henrietta - Peacefully in her sleep, at Cedarcroft Retirement Home, in Stratford, on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, Henrietta (Nettie) Agnes (McCreadie) Sands, age 83, of Stratford, formerly of Sarnia. Dear wife of the late John Donald Sands (1989). Loving mother of Betty Sands and her husband Irvine Nichols of Stratford, June Davis and her husband Rick of Guelph and Rosemary Wilson of Stittsville; grandmother of Emory, Deirdre and Eric Davis and Robert and Kathleen Wilson; step-grandmother of Jennifer and Robert Nichols; sister of Ann Smith of Sarnia, Marg Scott and her husband Albert of Forest, Dorothy Carswell and her husband Andrew of Toronto and Kay Moniot of Sarnia; special friend of Heather, John and Tyler Virostek of Sarnia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by a sister, Marian. Mrs. Sands had been a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church, the church choir, the UCW and Christian Endeavour. She was employed for many years with Sarnia Hydro. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the D.J. Robb Funeral Home (Sarnia) on Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dale Burkart of St. Paul's United Church officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview cemetery. VANDENDOOL, Grace, ARCT, RMT - At her home, on Friday, Aug. 16, 2002. Grace (nee Vandelagemaat) Vandendool, in her 67th year, was the loving wife of Harry Vandendool. She was the dear mother of Melissa Amanda Vandendool-Cable and her husband Gary and Neil Vandendool. Grace was the loving grandmother of Tamara and Alexa. She is survived by three brothers and one sister. Grace was a world-renowned music educator who authored many educational music books. She shared her love of music with thousands of children throughout the years and, in later life, she was able to share her knowledge with hundreds of thousands of children through her published works.
