MARTENS, Angela (nee Kaluza) peacefully, at her daughter Stefanie's home in Cologne, Germany, on December 24, 2002, as the church bells of Cologne rang in Christmas. Angela died at the age of 79 years with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerhard Martens and mother and mother-in-law of Gunther, Veronika Thomson (Gary), Elisabeth, Stefanie Unsin, Maria and Josefa and Frank Krumbach, Reinhard Unsin and Philippe Smets. Loving and devoted Oma (grandma) to Tim (Soo-Yon), Alexander, Colin (Melissa), Bernadette, Stephanie and Felix. Angela devoted her life to her six children, six grandchildren and her disabled husband, a war veteran. Angela's faith, courage, nurturing and love are her gifts to us. We will miss her so very much. A Funeral Mass, Service and Interment will be held at the Melaten cemetery , Cologne, Germany on January 2nd, 2003.
